Thank you for your continuing work on this great mod.

I grabbed V2 last night (UK time) pretty much as soon as you uploaded it. Haven't had the chance to instal yet.

I downloaded this mod about four or five or so days ago (first time). After reading the readme, I was actually able to install everything and even get the "LOD" thingie updated so that distant buildings would show. Yay.

There's just one odd thing that the forum search and google can't explain: my character went back to "regular" Cyrodiil and an elephant has begun to appear after fast traveling. Not sure if it's the same elephant following my character, or if there are now a bunch of elephants now scattered in all of Tamriel. Is there some way to keep the random elephants in Elsewhere?

Wouldn't that elephant be your 'last horse ridden'?

When you fast travel, your last ridden horse teleports with you. If you teleport inside town, horse is teleported in stable. It's vanilla behaviour and I suppose that you bought that elephant mount?

You hopped on an elephant and road it around for a bit at some point didn't you :)

I did the same and now every time that test char fast travels, the elephant shows up and then starts walking back to Elsweyr. It's rather funny in a way. Especially when folks in Chorrol had never seen one before.

Sorry for not being very responsive in the last few days... RL is keeping me terribly busy at the moment.
Have you had a chance to look at doing a lod mesh for the new Orcrest palace? Its the last piece I need for the update.

Guess you found a way to work around that. I'll have enough time after 6th February, please remind me then.


Yes the textures for the date palm fronds, desert trolls and adobe ovens don't have normal maps which causes problems like that.

Not sure about that, I made normal maps for the lizard mount and it also looks strange in a storm... I have no idea what causes this, perhaps some flag in NIfskope??

The FortressTower is obsolete. The Tower I am still using for Two Moon Temple for the time being. You might want to remove it though from RAEVWD now because it is going to be replaced eventually.

When are you planning to make the next update? The two-moon-temple exterior is ready, but I've made no interior yet...

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... OK. Now it makes sense. Did ride one at one point. My character was in a town that was implemented as an interior. I saw the elephants and I thought "wow, how cool!" My character went up to en elephant and I pressed the spacebar, trying to see if there would be a reaction, like a dialog or sound effect. Next thing I knew, the camera pulled back and my character climbed up onto the elephant. I was like "holy [censored], they're ridable!"[1] :D

Anyway, not wanting to be accused of elephant theft, my character hopped down and thought no more about it. ;)

So does this mean if I ride a horse now, the elephant will return to its home, where I'm sure it is missed? Poor thing, wandering around all of Tamriel, trying to keep up with my character. :(

The updated Caravanserai.nif is missing a NiStencilProperty block on the transparent lattice work. It becomes invisible if viewed from inside the area.

Thanks! All the new stuff you've made for the mod is so cool. It really makes it a real pleasure to explore. I'm really pleased with the new look of Orcrest, and bringing Dune to life will be lots of fun.

The next update will probably be in March. I try and get a new one out every 6 to 8 weeks. So if you have any ideas for new stuff to include . . . :)

The desert storm thing is a bit odd. I'm not sure what causes that. It always happens with things that don't have normal maps, but also with some things that do, like NPC hair. I used the palace_far.nif Arthmoor made. I guess it could be simplified further, since I doubt you can see the carved cat skull anywhere in distant view.

BTW, I don't know if this has been already suggested/is being included, but wouldn't be absolutely great a Rendija Krin playable faction?


I had planned to build that up as a playable faction some day. They have quite a few bases around the place already.
The other faction I want to do is Twin Lamps which will be about the Morrowind slave trade.

There is an updated nospiders.esp on tesnexus now. It will allow the slarjei birds to appear in the spawns.

I included three Morrowind npcs. One of the slaves in the Twin Lamps hostel is a khajiit you dumped on a boat up in Khuul. I have him complaining that he ended up be shipped off to Skyrim!
And then there is Jobasha and his argonian friend Huleeya from the main quest. I was playing MW and he said he was planning to return to Elsweyr some day, so I moved his shop to Corinthe. :)

You should'nt have told the elephant there were jungles in Cyrodiil. Now he is going to follow you everywhere in search of them. ;)
Yep, just mount something else, and he will wander home. His AI is like that of any horse, so he follows you if he recorded as your last ridden mount.

That's odd. I can't think of anything special in the Corinthe Palace district that might do that. Try approaching the area another way.

There is a rideable one in the Dune marketplace. Taking it is stealing, but you can ride it up out of the town via the upper class district. I'll add a proper camel merchant to the town later, so you can buy one legit.

Do you mean the trellice room divider? I placed a few around the caravanserai dining area.

Woops. Sorry, I should have been more specific. The railing on the very top that goes around the perimeter.

Hi, I'm having problems with some of the female body textures, I'm using HGEC normal. Furred Ohmes-Raht is messed up, some of the others are ok tho. Not sure what the problem is. Tried loading only Elsweyr & the problem persists. I also use Race Balancing Project, which is the only other race mod I use. Any help much appreciated.

It's so beautiful already!

Visited the Southern shore for the first time yesterday,
man, I've been missing out!
My sister was blown away by Elsweyr, seeing it for the first time.

Brilliant :) . It seems to run much better than before. I was staggering around orcrest at 12ish fps before, and now I hold steady at my Stuuter remover capped 40. Really liking the new textures/meshes. I've spent a couple of hours just wandering around and enjoying the view.
