Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:20 pm

Looking for a little advice please.

I have just got to 30 Smithing and i wondered 1) which is better stat wise between the Elven and Dwarven Armour as both are 30 and also if i choose Elven does that mean i cant get Daedric or Orc armour as they are on the other side ??? thanks :)

Well.......Elven is light armor.......and Dwarven is heavy. I don't think you need help deciding if you want heavy or light do you?

If you go elven, you're going the light armor route. And no, once you get to dragon, you can't keep going over to deadric and back down to dwarven. Have to roll up.

Im conflicted too because I want to make plate... But I want to move to deadric too. I may rank up the whole tree.

Dwarven is the equivalent of a personal gold mine. So as far as personal use, what armor are you perked in?

Well the difference between elven and dwemer armour is that one is light, the other is heavy.

On the smithing tree, one side is generally light armour, the other is heavy. What type does your character focus on?

Also, funny side joke, dwarves (dwemer), are technically a form of elf in ES lore. So elven armour = dwemer armour.

That's what I did, up to Orc on the right and Advanced on the Left.

I wish Dwemer armor was stronger, it's my favorite in terms of looks. And even though the Dwarves are technically Elves, their crafstmanship matches Dwarves from other game/literary lore. Plus it's a PAIN to make since you have to lug the heavy pieces back from a ruin and smelt them, so I feel like it should be better than Plate armor at least.

You know you can just buy the bars you need from a vendor :)

As your smithing goes up so does the upgrade values, I'm sure you could technically use dwarven armor if you wanted too, it just requires some work, like getting a high smithing glove with 20% or something improvement and also drink a 20% smithing potion, then your upgrade value goes up by 40%.
