Not 100% sure on how it's going to be fixed and/or what options will be available but i know the first priority is to stop it from happening, where we go from there, we'll see!

Well this is another account i created for the demo, but i redeemed it the limited edition code with the account with the email address username problem.

Please i need your help.

2/ sure, probably 2 or 3 years ago or in june 2010 (dunno if my account was deleted when thenew gamesas appeared and if i've had then to create it again with the same credentials)

3/ i don't know at all ... i presume it was Firefox (or Internet Explorer, but more probably FF) when i created the account. Since, especially when trying to change password, it must be Chrome.

Hi there,

i created my account in the game, but if i try to sign in at this homepage it dosn′t work. It say′s your password or your username are invalid.

But if I click at the link in the game (on the bottom) to join the Homepage to change my password i′m logged in. I changed my password and tryed it again to sign in at the homepage but i don′t work again.

In the game my password is changed so i need the new password to join the multiplayer but i can′t sign in at the homepage.

i hope anybody can help me, what sould i do

I got bored of waiting last night and created a profile in-game with the same e-mail account I'm using, so now I have two accounts.
Seems to be working, I can login on the website and the game. Gonna try MP tonight.

Cry-staff please help us ha except for privacy issues of the settings changing my email being my username... it generally sukks to have ur email addresss hown in game.. it just looks silly :S not saying this is a priority.. but do keep us updated also, obvs an option in account settings to change to a new username would be the best i think :S just a suggestion.

To be honest i don't even know when did i make the account (probably during Crysis 1 or Crysis Warhead time). I wanted to log in from inside Crysis 2 to the account that i usually use and have and it said something was wrong. So i've used the recovery feature. Once i logged in here, i noticed that my username is in fact e-mail. Tried changing it but the software just doesn't allow me to do it.

Can't really help much from here on except that i want to change the darn e-mail into a proper nickname...

Ok, that's weird. Checked the join date and it's the time when i got the Crysis 2 from the store. I haven't even registered for account. I just used the password recovery feature because i thought i've forgotten the login info. So based on this, anyone who doesn't really have an account here, but has used the password recovery feature gets an e-mail appointed as an username and the password is assigned when you pick a new password.
So this feature doesn't really recover an account, but it in fact creates one from scratch.

I signed up ingame. But I use Firefox 4.0.

I tried signing up through ingame and couldn't find a unique username I liked.
So I gave up.
When I came back a few days later, it told me my email was in use.
Signing into the site worked, but no username can be found.

Cry-Adam, where are we at on this issue? Are you able to give us a progress update?

It's being worked on from our end. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to change your username at the moment. Hopefully will be fixed soon!

5. I can log into the game using my nickname: Marshals. But that login does not work here - here I have to use my e-mail.

Okay, so today I logged into gamesas.com, and in the "Edit Profile" section, under the catagory "Account Settings", an option came up that said:

'Your gamesas username and your Crysis 2 nickname differ.
Do you want to take for gamesas username the Crysis 2 nickname (****)?'

It then had a button that said:

'Yes I do - After submitting, use Crysis 2 nickname to log in.'

Then I clicked submit, then I logged out and logged back in with my Crysis 2 username. I think this has fixed it for me.

I cannot remember how I created the account. I think it was on this site for the Demo.

I cannot see my User Name so I cannot log into game.

1) Via "Forgot Password?". I never registered any account with this email. Or perhaps it's tied to my account "exglade". I was just trying several of my email to see which one tied to gamesas.com account "exglade" so I can reset password to stop getting the error message "Sorry, invalid username or password".

2) If referring to "exglade" account, yes, it's created last year around a few after I know gamesas.com launched.
If referring to this email, I wonder if it's even created before or the "Forgot Password?" created this when try to reset password.

3) "exglade" - Mozilla Firefox 3.6 | this email - Mozilla Firefox 4.0

4) If referring to "exglade", yes, it's the first account ever. (Then I created "unitednightingale" to file my issue yet till now unresolved)

Please help me recover my account "exglade". Cry-Adam helped me check which of my email is associated to "exglade" and it was aiistudio@live.com. Then he reset my password yet I still can't login with the ID as "exglade"/aiistudio@live.com and the password given. I inform him that my issue is unresolved since then there's no respond.

After that, I tried to register a new account named under "unitednightingale" with aiistudio@live.com. It's created without a single problem. So the question now is...
Which email tied to my account "exglade"?
What is the password on "exglade"?
Can I request to associate this email "exglade@live.com" to my account "exglade"?
Can I reset the password on my account "exglade"?
Can I know what's wrong and have a respond?

My account "exglade" can log into Crysis 2 game but not the website gamesas.com. I already reached a certain rank in the game yet I can't redeem my LE code and I am really not happy with that.

So, in a nut shell, this will never get fixed just like they'll never fix this nonsense. If we were allowed to simply change a name or e-mail, we could fix this crap ourselves. If i could change an e-mail, i'd change it to some that i'm not using that often and delete the account and re-register it with the one i actually use all the time. Problem solved. Instead we are waiting for like a 3rd week with no fix. How hard can it be for Crytek employees to just change our stupid e-mail address names into nicknames of our choice? Makes me wonder what kind of stupid forum software is this that you can't do anything with it.

The symptoms have been the same from back during the Crysis 2 MP beta. While specific browsers may complicate matters, it's clear that old/original accounts (Crysis/Warhead/Wars/Forum) do not work with Crysis 2 or the gamesas(beta) forum.

In-game, in-box, and website instructions should have instructed EVERYONE to create a new gamesas account in order to use Crysis 2 multiplayer and to properly redeem their LE code.
... with a sincere apology to Crysis 1/Warhead/Wars.

EA should, at least email old Crysis/Forum account holders new LE codes to use with their new gamesas/Crysis 2 accounts.
