We're trying to sort out exactly why this is happening so i'm looking for some information.

If your gamesas username shows up as an email address can you please answer the following questions:

1) How did you create the account? In-game or directly on this website?
2) Did you create it before the PC demo began?
3) What browser did you sign up on?
4) Is it your first gamesas.com account?
5) Any other info you feel may be relevant.

Any help will hopefully speed up the process in finding the issue and squashing it

Email adress accounts are accounts that just miss a gamespy profile.
Go to gamespy.com and create account with same email, password and other details as your account here and with a unique nickname you want to use.

Worked for my demo account that lost its nickname.

- I dont remember exactly. But I am sure not with the game. I think in the first Crysis.

This problem is affecting me a little differently now... I'll start with your questions.

1) I believe the account that I was using to login to the game with was my old Crysis 1 login information, but it wasn't linked with Gamespy anymore.
2)Yes
3)The website account I created with the same nickname as the in-game account was created with Chrome.
4)The website account was my first gamesas.com account (to my knowledge).

5) On the weekend I deleted my website account, and initiated a password reset for the e-mail address that was associated with the information I was using to login to the game with. I went through the process, and was then able to login to the website for the first time with the account I was using in the game (the website account I deleted and the in-game account both had the same nickname). Edit: updating the password also affected the game login for the first time.

My username was now showing up in the upper right as this old e-mail address. When I clicked the little picture next to the name, it took me to the account screen, but updated my username to be my nickname (what you see now attached to this post). It also then associated all of my old messages and posts from the web account I deleted with the in-game account.

I can no longer login to the website using the drop down menu in the upper right. I have to go to http://www.gamesas.com/user and use the old e-mail address (not the nickname... it doesn't work) to login to the site. Once I do, it still initially shows my username as the e-mail address. Even more strange... if I try to initiate a password reset, it does not go to that old e-mail address anymore, but it goes to the e-mail address that was associated with the web account I deleted. Clicking the links that come in those e-mails does not work.

I'm sorry if that is confusing... but... imagine how *I* feel about it.

**UPDATE**

So after looking some more into my current situation, there still seems to be a disconnect between the account that is on the site, and the account that is in the game. If I change my password on the site here, it does not update the password attached to the login I use in the game. I can only change my password if I request another password reset... which seemed to work properly this time.

well what i think the server sistem maybe no sync properly...and i think if we create new account when the game launch not gonna be a problem

So, made another account and here are the results:

You MUST LOG IN with:
USERNAME/PASSWORD. EMAIL/PASSWORD doesn't work at all in both STEAM DEMO and FULL GAME.

The problem is that most of us are being greeted with:

I created it after realease of the PC demo.

Could it be a problem with the syncronisation of the Gamespy Arcade account, which you could use in the demo.

I want to play the multiplayer, but can't log in at the moment. Fix it fast, please.

My does not show up as a e-mail address but I still can not get in.

I dont have mail as username, but I still cant login.. btw why u turn down EA when they offer you login server? Its so much better than gamespy and it worked great in every single EA games....

1) I created my original account, DiabloEnFuego back during Crysis 1. When the demo for Crysis 2 came out, I couldn't log in with it so I created that account again using the same email; however, I was never able to log into it. I could not create another account in-game linked to the same email account so during the demo I made one up. When the Live version was released I was eventually able to fudge it by creating a multiplayer account from the gamesas website linked to my email address which; even though already being in use, let me create the account anyway.

4) No. DiabloEnFuego, as I mentioned was created during Crysis 1, but I never used the site gamesas.com, so I'm not sure if it created an account here or not. In either event, after creating the user DiabloEnFuego in-game during the demo (see #1, could not log into it in-game), I then created an account using my name so I would remember it...sadly I now cannot change my name in-game but I would like to set it back to DiabloEnFuego without losing my stats.

5. I already had an existing Fileplanet and Gamespy account of DiabloEnFuego, same username, same password before Crysis 2. I noticed some users like Blacklight had an option in his screenshot for linking his accounts within gamesas, I have no such option.
-Additionally, I had to create these accounts directly on your website even after I had created them in-game.
-I deleted both of my accounts on gamesas site once that option was available to see if it would help, it actually made things worse to the point where I couldn't even log in with either account anymore and I couldn't create a new one because my email address was already in use.

TLDNR; I'd really like my account name to not be my real name anymore, would be nice to merge them and keep DiabloEnFuego (which I can't log in with in-game. DiabloEnFuego is also my unique nickname on Gamespy). I didn't realize my nickname the second time around was unchangeable.

Downloaded Demo on release day, but was never able to play due to log-in issue. Bought game disc, (not a Steam fan), still can't log in. Yet I have no problem logging in here.

No. Created first time with full-version retail copy downladed from Steam.

Truth is, all I want is my nickname. I created the account in-game, but on the next restart the login info dissapeared. Now I can't remember my username, and there is no option on this website whatsoever to recover this username, nor can I prevent my personal email from being shown every time I make a post . Kinda silly really.....

Righto, thanks for the info everyone. The web team are working hard on resolving this issue so hopefully we'll see some results soon!
