Emotional Moments from Skyrim

Post » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:55 am

Here's the first of mine, more to follow:

Last night I made my way to the Bandit Camp NE of the Broken Tower near whiterun, with my Housecarl.

We decided to try and ransack the fort, we did so, stormed through looted the bodies and searched every nook and cranny.

We then continued to enter the actual buildings inside and the prison areas below ground, cleared them all out, and had a decent struggle at one point, good fight.

Looted and returned to the surface and back into the fort grounds.

That alone took me nearly 1hr 10mins.

As myself and Lydia emerged, it was night, she made a worrying 'huh?' sound, I thought, does she have tourettes? No.

Above us was a huge Dragon, circling silently under the Northern Lights, we stayed quiet and still, hunched against the forts broken walls, hoping it would pass.

It stayed circling and bellowing above us for nearly 2mins (real time) then swooped off toward Riverwood.

I could let my grip on my sweaty controller ease a touch, Im a level 9 and only fought one previous Dragon, hence the worry.

Now things like that amaze me, simply outstanding moments and a superb experience.

I was very sad when a bear ate my mudcrab wife. Plus he farted, and it smelled.

I rescued three people from a prison, and when I went outside one said "I don't know where I'll go now...".

Then a dragon showed up, and KILLED THEM. I was upset.

Oh and one shopkeep is dying and gives you a pittance for completing a quest, his assistant apologizes for him and gives you more. I felt bad for the guy.

Haha quality Gary, must have been very emotional lol.

My Giant wife, is a tad grumpy, don't even get me started on what six positions she has us attempting with those damn mammoths...

Well I found poor little Meeko while playing last night. I left him in the woods with his dead owner but will come back for him once I buy a house.

Emotional moment..

i was going back from unsuccesfull cave(mobs were too hard for me to beat them) i thought..okay i will speed travel once... then i went to outside, beautiful nature view was again in sight...i thought okay..i will travel on foot, even if the cave was too hard to finish.. :(

and then the dragon attacked me and sabertooth tiger..it was fight between 3 of us.. i had a small time to regain health then for some reason dragon jumped on tiger..after a while i killed both of them, the feeling was good, really cheered me on after the damn hard cave :) .. it was like a sign.. just dont speed travel ever...!!

I pickpocket a lady in Riverwood and run away.... afterwards I discovered she was the wife of the vendor who asks to retrieve the golden claw, and she probably died in some way trying to catch me. When I brought the claw to the guy he said "if only she were here to see it"... quite sad indeed.

After several days I got back to to Riverwood and her semi-naked body was lying in front of the blacksmith's house, with the blacksmith's wife crouched on it and telling "poor lady".

Fantastic game (if it weren't for the ps3 lag problems....)

Oh no!!! That is harsh man!

Crying over her naked body? Rubbing salt into the wounds lol.

Yep indeed this game is becoming my life, my girlfriend has been banished to the bedroom while I stalk the lands of Skyrim lol

I had in my opinion, quite an emotional experience when i was working on the main quest, when you enter this GIANT underground like 3 hour long dwemer ruin dungeon as part of the main questline, when you have to retrieve -:something:- to help stop -:something:- Anyway theres one part in the dungeon, where you enter this MASSIVE, like 30 story tall main chamber, full of ramps, falmer, like 6 or 7 different doors, and in the middle theres this open space that leads allllllll the way down to the icy, rocky bottom. Anyway, i didnt feel like going alone, so i brought Lydia with me. Well at basically the very top ramp of this massive chasm, a falmer jumps out of nowhere and Lydia starts clobbering him. Before i could do anything, the falmer and Lydia slipped over the edge of the ramp, and i hurried to the edge. Both of them fell the whole 30 stories or so, allll the way down, fighting in mid-air all the way down, until they fell so far down i couldnt even see them anymore.

Later on i finally made it to the very bottom, and Lydia was dead, being ravaged by frostbite spiders. I was kinda pissed off and upset, so i took her sword, and am gonna enchant it "Lydia's Bane" and display it lol.

It was so epic watching them fall the whole way down, wasnt expecting it :P

Well, its not really emotional in a sad way, but it does drive some happy, revenge filled emotions.

I was stealing from Riverwood, taking everything of value and pickpocketing everyone. (Most fun I've had in a long time.) And I chose to get the claw back. I get it and bring it back to the general store, and right about now I was feeling all happy with myself. Thats when everything turned for the worst. I exited the shop and three hired mercenaries stood outside.
It was the hardest fight I've ever done. I ran and had to hit them from afar, or else they would kill me in two hits. (I play on expert)

After finally killing them, which was exciting and stressful, I found one of them had a contract on him. And it was signed by who wanted me killed. Hodgar (Or whatever it was) had hired these guys because I stole from him.
I killed him. Reloaded, and killed him again. I've never been attacked like that again.

I felt incredibly tainted after an early DB quest. I had completed the intial kill no problem but the client wanted an extra kill for her fee, A woman who was once her friend..
I tracked down the target in her home town and followed to the market place. Her parents turned up and even spoke to me about how sad they had lost a son recently. I felt bad at this point but reasoned that a DB assassin will always carry out the contract..i followed the young lady away from her parents and the market, waiting untill she walked through a narrow alleyway, then i swiftly struck with my dagger, watching in horror as my assassin slit her throat from behind. It was quite gruesome. I returned to the client for my fee. A good while later i visited that town and heard a local remark how the family had also lost their daughter and were devastated..

I felt very sad for them

I was furious when bandits killed my horse. :(

I had a total "wow" moment when going into the cell where the

cultists were trying to raise the Wolf Queen.

I was elated when I bumped into my beloved

. I wish there was a hug animation - I so wanted to hug him.

My most emotional moment was probably when I accidentally ran into the dragon priest Krosis at level 7 right after killing a dragon. It probably took 10 minutes to kill him and Lydia died in the process....

Granted, she did get in the way of my fireball. :P

Assaulting a fort for Stormcloaks. After meeting up with the stationed soldiers we got hit hard by a dragon. Lost several soldiers like that, so by the time we actually stormed the fort we were fighting impossible odds.

I got really upset when I went to riverwood the 2nd or 3rd time and a Dragon attacked and killed the wood cutter guy that helps you out right after beginning the game, and then I got the letter from the Jarl about his inheritance. That really was an emotional moment, and at the time I didn't think Dragons killed named NPC's like that, and since then I do my best to kill any dragon as soon as I can, I don't want more dying like that.

Killing the imperial courier during the Brotherhood quests. The quest included something one could emotionally relate to. When you first saw the courier he was taking farewell of his mother and father before going to war.
And your mission was to kill him. :gun:
So sad. :(
