Emotional Quests.

It's not exactly a quest, but I thought it was wonderful to see a couple of kids chasing a huge rat and I though to myself: "WTH?! I'll just blast that rat!" and afterwards they thanked me. Made me smile.

The slightly confusing thing about this is that, as a random speech thing, one of the NCR soldiers in Forlorn Hope can tell you to be careful about the Legion using bodies as traps. But when you find them, you can't loot them, which is normal for interacting with a living person. I think the intent was for them to be alive, which is far more brutal and fitting, but that speech thing kind of mucked up my view on it.

When a certain Ranger Station got attacked by the Legion they dropped mines next to the bodies. I remember trying to see of they were unconscious. Didn't recognize the sound of a mine.

Boone. The entire character, completely depressing. Cass was also depressing, though getting revenge for her was much more satisfying.

They should have been romance options, both of them. Lazy Obsidian bums.

I thought the same thing about Boone at first, but then I realized it would seem inappropriate or at least cheapen his character in light of his game-story. imo.
Besides, romance is rarely done well in video games, even by Obsidian. *whistle*

Come fly with me was the only one that really invoked an emotional response. Those poor ghouls thought they were going to the promised land...

I thought of posting the same sentiment earlier. I can't think of anything tackier than placing a romance sub-plot with his character. Give the poor guy a couple of years of healing and maybe then it can be a free for all. :whistling:

I could see a romance working with Cass, or atleast a fling, but these games aren't really known for engaging the player in anything other than six with a prosttute...

Helping out Joana in her quest to get out of the Gomorrah. The only person I actually cared about when I got done helping them.

..But of course I had six with her a lot before I helped her escape. And Boone and Rex watched, haha.

So Joana wants to leave her life of prostitution behind and you help only on the stipulation that she'll sleep with you?! That's lousy! :stare:

Well, while sleeping with her I noticed she was looking pale and what not, it is why I, after finishing of course, decided to then help her.

I agree. I had done this quest early in my playthrough and had forgotten about it. Not only those poor ghouls, but what about the poor human that thought he was a ghoul that they left behind? :(

It is only worst when your only option is to let her reunited with her boyfriend than take her as yours

The end of the Return to Sender quest. Listening to Hanlon explain why he would sabatoge the reports was actually really disheartening and sad. In the end, I chose to turn him in...and I won't spoil what happens to him if you haven't done it, but it might leave a tear in your eye.

After hunting down and killing so many Enclave soldiers in fallout 3. I realized in the base that Autumn was actually a good guy whom I supported. The game painted him horribly negative when he had to shoot that lady for the purifier code. The reason he left Eden was so he could legitly build back the United States, using water as a recruitment incintive, and to make the U.S. again W/o the "kill all the mutants" Idea. I regretted the brotherhood attacking him, and wish I could have shot prime.
Heres to rebuilding America One day.

The Quest where I found out the NCR destroyed Navarro, that pissed me off. I liked Sergeant Dornan.

Personally I didnt mind the legion raid at Nelson. The only people I find are prosttutes, powder gangers, and a currupt mayor. Good riddence. I feel for the NCR Soldiers, not the NCR in general.

When I first saw the Capital Building in Fo3.

Oh god, the comments about Joana's quest makes me think you guys are evil players! I can't even stand Joana's voice but I couldn't imagine asking her for "special" favors.

As for another emotional quest, Hard Luck Blues really had me agonize over my decision towards the end. I let the vault survivors die but it was not an easy decision. The quest could have had an even bigger impact if we were allowed to communicate with them through intercom prior to the final decision.

For Auld Lang Syne. I love the Enclave troopers finally being portrayed as people.
And their one last sally out of the gates before they die. I loved it.

It's either that or she makes me a sandwich, and last I checked I had more access to a vag then bread and ham and cheese.

Just finished Veronica's quest, wow. That was surprisingly effective. I had of course expected the BoS to cause trouble but I thought it was it after you encounter the Paladins when you exit the Hidden Valley bunker, I actually believed they would leave her alone. So after you enter the Followers outpost and hear Veronica whisper "no no no...". Really well done there.

And I like that the devs really cemented the BoS as the bastards that they really can be.

The quest that really made be feel bad was killing Mr. House.

He sought to renew humanity, put it back on the tracks, and take us to the stars and beyond. To rule the world to prosperity.

When I killed him, I felt like a real asshat who had just put humanity's progress back with 300-600 years :(

Needless to say, when I took over Vegas, I swore to myself I'd make the world even better than Mr. House ever could!

Also,

I must say working for the Legion was quite amazing.

Ceasar was such an amazing character. With goals to unify the squabbling world.

Unfortunately, as his disease proved, he was just a mortal man. Who could succeed him and take on the burden of his legacy when he passed away?

Human frailty doomed the Legion to death since the start :(

Walking over a hill and seeing the crosses on the horizon, trying to help them but can't do anything, so I decide to kill them in the most non painful method, a shot to the head.

I felt terrible.
