EMP nukes?

How about a city that was hit by an EMP during the war? All the structures are intact, just that all electronics in it are FUBAR. Would make a nice change.

I'm not really sure how it would work, as integrated circuitry was never invented, the EMPs effect would only drastically effect power lines and power stations, both of which could be very rapidly repaired.

I thought regular nukes produced EMP? Or maybe I've misunderstood it all.

they do, but the range of the EMP tends to be the same as the nukes destructive power so it's effects aren't really that pronounced compared to the nuclear explosion itself.

Unless it had some kind of shield, you could say, against it, electronics are damaged, usually beyond a quick fix.

Clearly robots are affected as seen with the pulse gun/grenades.

What do you mean by a "quick fix"? Don't the circuit boards and wires get all fried or something?
