ENB series tweaking help

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 9:27 pm

Hi,
I just downloaded the ENB series mod and I need some help to tweak it.
My main problem with the mod right now : poor performance in towns (I use better cities and the Q3 textures pack), and blurried HUD (my life/magicka bar actually), I use DarkUI Darn if it matters.
Everything else is great, I'd like to have the same visuals with good performance in towns... and maybe a less blurried image (I do like the effect though, just want to tone it down).
My rig :
E8400@3ghz, 4gigs of memory, HD4890 on win 7 x64.
My .ini file right now :

Get rid of Motion Blur, Water, and Shadow as those really do not do anything. OBGE has better Depth of Field options so you might want to disable that as well. Best advice: just play around a tweak settings according to YOUR tastes. Read the english readme as everything in tweaking is there for you.

The readme of this mod really svcks lol.
I tried OBGE too, but it was way too dark, even in the plugin support I couldn't tweak it so I could actually see something at night...

I find the readme very helpful. If you don't read the readme first, how will you know what to change?

I use OBGE (without the support plugin) alongside ENB and all is well. You just need to know what to change.

As I said in the OBGE thread I can't get it to work properly, that's why I tried ENB. I love how it make the game looks but it really kills the performance in towns for me...
Now I turned off what you said and it didn't make any differences... :(
I did read the readme, it's just that it's not very helpful to find what kills the performance.

ENB in general has a great impact on FPS. The readme does have tips on how to improve framerate with basic trouble-shooting information... :whistling:
