ENB's

Post » Sat Jan 23, 2016 12:48 pm

I got into PC gaming when Skyrim came out. I played Oblivion on PS3 and was envious of the mods I saw for it. Then when BF4 came out I built my first custom gaming machine. I recently up graded to a high end GPU and was wondering are ENB's worth it in your opinion?

For me I do not like them at all but that is me. Only you can say if it is worth it for you.

I won't bother with one for this game, my 970 dips FPS as is vanilla. I do run an ENB for 3, NV and Skyrim though and it looks great. They take some horsepower to run though, so unless you have a super beefy card expect lower FPS in Fallout 4.

I had a 2gb GTX 770 and upgraded to a 6gb GTX 980ti last night. I played about a hour on the recommended settings for FO4 by GeForce Experience just to check it out before I customize the settings. The game looked pretty damn good vanilla on all the highest settings.

I tried 2 different ENB's for Skyrim and the game looked incredible but I was barely getting 30 fps on the 770 back then.

Should get rock solid 60 fps in Skyrim with that card. I sometimes drop to the low 50s with my 970. I'd be interested in the performance you get in Fallout 4 with an ENB.
