Are the changes I make in-game to bloom using shortcuts saved right away?

Or do I have to change a line in the .ini before they are made permanent?

Any changes made ingame aren't saved, they're just temporary.

Posted on last thread but still have this problem:

The sky is really really bright white when my view is straight ahead. If I look up into the sky the farther up I go the brightness slowly fades away.

http://s425.photobucket.com/albums/pp331/NYankeekid/?action=view¤t=MGEScreenshot3.jpg

http://s425.photobucket.com/albums/pp331/NYankeekid/?action=view¤t=MGEScreenshot1-1.jpg looks fine to me there, but right as I look a little down

http://s425.photobucket.com/albums/pp331/NYankeekid/?action=view¤t=MGEScreenshot2.jpg

Which settings should I change to fix that?

I tried lowering the "Sky Day Color" in my morrowind .ini but it didnt help.

Under [BLOOM] there is a line that says: BloomScreenLevelDay=XX. Lower this value by 10 or 20.

I tried putting that value at 1 and its still there. I think it has something to do with my morrowind .ini, im not sure.

I would suggest lowering the black curve. If you are using the older version of ENBseries, then what you do is open the effect tab. Search for this line:
float4 envcol=(envcol1+envcol2+envcol3)*0.7;
and change that 0.7 to something lower. That should help

I fixed it by using SWG's modded skies :) Thanks for those, they look really nice.

I need some help too, it's like no matter what I do I cannot lower the intensity of the bloom...
I've tried lowering settings like BloomPowerDay, BloomScreenLevelDay, BloomConstantDay etc to very low numbers like 1 or 2. And I see almost no difference.

I really need some help because the bloomlevel is almost so powerfull it's like it decreases my view distance with 50% :/

I was annoyed with something about ENBseries enough that I tried to tinker with it again to fix my issue. I have almost everything perfect with ENBseries except one thing. The whitest colors have too much of a shine. Like on some armors (particularly Hedgehog-12's Netch armor) there are white-ish areas that have bloom applied to them in a very annoying way. It takes away any detail from that area because of the large bloom. sadly, I haven't figured it out yet. Anyone know how to lower the bloom on the whitest colors? I don't want all bloom toned down, just the bloom on the brightest colors. Any ideas?

Hi Posting as a plea for help with setting up ENB+MGE

I think I had it work twice and when it did work (message in top left of screen) everything looked great - shiny reflective water, motion blur, etc. Then the game crashed on exit and ENB will not reinitialize.

I checked the UseEffect was at 1.

The second time I got it to work was by making sure that MGE had AA and Anisotropic set to the same numbers and again it worked till I exited the game then crash and it wont work at all now.

If my hardware is an issue:
Quad Core 2.66
ATI 4870 1 gig Vram
8 gigs ram
Asus Rampage Formula
Seagate 1 terabyte (for games); velociraptor 300 gb (for OS).
DirectX 10 (up to date)
Windows Vista (...yeah I know) with Bethesda games in non default install location.

I cannot seem to get it to work at all now - not with ENB ini or shift+F12 key combo.

Please - any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

Well I think I figured it out - need to launch with Morrowind Enhanced - when ever I do that both MGE and EBN seen initialized. I did get a ctd on exit once in 5 times.

I'm hoping that does not indicate more of the same as I add mods. It tool over 100 mods to get that way with Oblivion. But even so thanks to Skyranger~1 that is not a problem at all for anyone.

Is there a certain version I should get, or should I just get the latest GTA: San Andreas version?

ENBSeries also turns off morrowind lightning system and limits the dynamic range which prevents the existence of pitch black areas (if you have bloom on). Because ENBSeries is not meant for Morrowind and neither is it optimized, I would recommend sticking with MGE instead.

If you absolutely can't remove ENB (the only good reason to have it is Windows locked the file and you can't delete it yet :P), you can try disabling everything that relates to depth (SSAO, DoF, etc). Those may be causing issues. If that doesn't fix it, then it may be an issue with transparency. Disable any texture-related features.
If neither of those work, disable ENB, test, re-enable. If that fixes it, disable all ENB features, test. If that fixes it, then check each feature until you find the one that breaks it.

Only the newer version of ENB for GTA turns off morrowind ambient lighting. The older version has no problems

Yes. Except it will still whiten pitch black areas. (I can't stand that, neither in Video or game)

I guess your using a bright palette or something with it brightens pitch black areas cuz with mine, it makes them way darker. Probably your settings are set different or idk...

Spoiler

Been gone awhile, but am recently thinking of getting back into morrowind.

Anyway, last time I was into it I put together a pre-packaged version of ENBseries for simplicities' sake. It was in the last thread, so I figured I'd repost it here for anyone who isn't aware of it.
==============

Hey everyone! I come bearing gifts. I think I was working on the same thing as Vality: a version of the NBA Live effect.txt file that was modified so it didn't start off so dark, thus requiring lots of tweaking in-game before it was playable. I made a version of the effect.txt (attached) that remedies this problem on my setup, so hopefully it will work with others' as well (some tweaking is surely required, of course). Maybe I can save Vality a little bit of work =].

Okay, so on to the content details. This file contains a complete working version of ENBSeries for GTA San Andreas v0.074g w/SM 1.4 shaders (with this version lights in morrowind will still work). Also included is a pre-customized ini (of course, this is for my computer: you may need to tweak to your liking). The controls are set up exactly the same as those listed on Vality's MWFX page. And finally, the reason I'm uploading this, the effect.txt. It's from the NBA Live version of ENBSeries, and produces a nice blur/desaturated/bloom/occlusion effect. By default it is very dark, and required lots of tweaking in game via the keyboard controls. With this version, I've modified the effect.txt so that after you activate it you shouldn't have to tweak the settings in game at all (or at least, not as much).

Looking in effect.txt, there are new comments I added at the top (where the tempF1 etc. are declared) that explain what each one does. Then, if you scroll down there is a section marked "EDIT HERE", if you want to do any further editing. There are comments in the code explaining what I'm doing in that section. Of course, this configuration is for use with my machine, so further tweaking may be required on your part. For instance, I use The Lighting Mod which tends to darken things, so this may be a bit bright for those that don't use that mod. The good news is, you can either edit it in the effect.txt, or you can still edit it ingame with the hotkeys (that functionality is still there).

Oh, and I also included the palette I use for ENBSeries, since my tweaks to the effect.txt are made while using that palette. It's just there if you want to use it, and it's definitely not required. But just like lighting, using a different palette may warrant additional alterations to the effect.txt file. The palette is a modification of Vality's wonderful file (thank you!).

So, with no further adieu, the download link!

Ok I hit a problem. I was using the newer version of the GTA ENB via link off valitys site but earlier when I was messing with MGE, I set my MA to 16x and all of a sudden, my ENB wouldn't work. Well it did but I kept getting this crap about how its low performance and how I should change my settings to suit performance.

Im using my old alienware since my new one is getting fixed and I have a nvidia Geforce 9800 with 1gb graphic memory. My ENb always worked before I set my MA to 16x. Now its stuck like this. Even when I install a fresh copy of the newer version for GTA it still does this.

Anyone help?
