Enchant: Fortify Alchemy. Capped at 25% now (DG)?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:04 am

I made alch gear using a vendor bought +25% Enchanting Potion, used it, and made 4 peices of +25% Alchemy gear.
Then while wearing that gear I went and made a +30% Enchanting Potion.
I then went and used that potion and enchanted a new set of gear with +Alchemy and STILL recieved peices with +25% Alch.
...In other words: The 5% increase from the first Fortify enchanting potion (25%) to the next (30%) did nothing to increase my enchant.

-I made sure I still had the buff from the 30% when done enchanting my gear.
-I used the same soul gem quality (grand) to make both sets.

So is anyone else experiencing this?

Only a 5% increase might not do much. I assure you if you use a fortify restoration potion you'll be able to enchant alchemy gear that fortifies the skill 100000%.

It should take me to 27 or 28% as per the many guides detailing it.
Tested with smithing enchant. Won't go past 25% aswell
Tested with archery enchant. DID go up from 41% to 42%
Tested with Fire Damage on Wep. DID go up from 31 to 32.

I wonder if maybe it is rounding down to 25%. Although according to multiple sources it should increase more quickly than this. Will check by crafting another potion and seeing if the increase is visible there.

EDIT: Made another enchanting potion. Still at 30%. Going to enchant another peice and check it to make absolutely positive.

...Nvm don't need to check. It through it into the same stack as a 30% I had from before meaning there was no actual increase.

When I get home I will test it with a falmer helmet.

This is one of the guides I was refrencing. Says I should get 28% enchants from using the potion obtained from full 25% gear.

Will be back later to check post.

my enchants go uo to 27% with a fortify alcehmy 30% potion maybe you have some weird glitch. I once had one that brought skior(the first companion to die) after I finished the companions.

To my Knowledge there's no cap, this is quite obvious when you are a vampire with the necromage perk because it boosts all your effects making it even easier to loop.

Without being a vampire my gear (smithing and alchemy) go up to 29%.

Used a Falmer Helmet with circlet to create new 34% enchant potions.
This increased the value to 26%.
At 32% it should increase it to 29% so I don't know what the hell is going on.

Isnt this a know bug with the 360 version of the game? I seem to remember enchanting potions not scaling properly for the 360 version.
