Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:44 am

So, the xbow is nice! Can I add damage?...even though I'm adding two effects, only the 50% armor penetration is showing.

Ne1 know?

Thx in advance!

Non-magical weapons with built in effects only display the built-in effects but the enchantments will all work normally.

Yes you can enchant them. You just won't see the effect written.

Just like Wuuthrad. Although, I am not sure about it, since it is letting me re-enchant it. I may have reloaded, though.

Alrighty then.'I saved before going out for the day. I'll load up at Honeyside and add a couple of effects. Shock and frost seem appropriate for spell-casting, run-about, vamps.

Do u guys have enchants that u like? The base damage seems high enough not to need these. But I carry a soul trap bow.

Ps. the OP was done @Macy's...outside the changing room... holding a purse...waiting fir a diaper!

So xcuz th lEEt!?! :P

Am I the only one who thinks that enchanted Dwarven weapons and armor seems a tad bit paradoxical?

Yes you are the only one, because the dwemer performed all sorts of magic. Why wouldn't they have enchanted items? do you thikn those constructs carry filled soul gems for absolutely no reason.

I think using magic as a power source for technology and just straight up using magic directly are two very different things. Yes the Dwemer used magic, but in a different way than simply enchanting a bow or a pair of boots.

True story:

I go into an ancient dwemer ruin.
Find a pair of enchanted boots and an enchanted bow.
I use the bow and the boots for 9 days early on.

You have just been contradicted.

I know that enchanted Dwemer artifacts and whatnot exist, but it just feels weird to me.

Then again, it doesn't affect me in the slightest one way or the other, because I don't use Dwemer Armor, nor do I enchant my weapons because of the terrible looking runes on them. I just put Dwemer stuff on exhibit in my home in Markarth.

I put Soul Trap on the enhanced crossbow, because it has armor-piercing, which means that it pairs well with The Black Star when fighting humanoids. I also carry an ordinary dwarven crossbow with a fire damage enchant on it, for other enemies or when I'm low on gems.

Well the reference was actually to a Death Metal band called Bolt Thrower who got the name from one of the Warhammer games i don't play table top games so i don't know which one it was from, anyway close enough have a Fishy Stick!

It would be 40k is guess because the Astartes' guns are called Bolters, i suppose that is the reference they were going for

I found out that it's a reference to a weapon in Warhammer Fantasy Battles, no idea if it's the exact same game.

Warhammer and Warhammer 40k are 2 series made by the same people with the same lore in different settings. So Bolt Thrower is a ballista i guess
