Enchanter recharge service (mod idea)

Post » Fri Mar 25, 2016 10:55 am

I tried look around to see if anyone made such mod, I couldn't find any.

It would be cool to have npc offering Enchanter Service offer to "recharge" your worn enchantments or all or enchantments in your inventory. I think at rate of 1 coin per 1 charge would be good.

So, a faster rate for recharging, rather than waiting or wasting soul gems? I suppose that isn't a bad idea at all :D

Though I've never seen anything like that, so it is probably more difficult than one would suppose...

I've proposed this before. Would love to see it done.

That would cost a furtune to recharge an item like Staff of Magnus or Ring of Equity.

I think 1 gold per 10 pts magic charge is more realistic since the enchanting service for those NPC's who is offering it to the public is a little too expensive in vanilla.

Perhaps it'd be possible simply through dialogue? I'm not sure if there's a script for charging items, however.

I would like to see this done as well. But I afraid this would not be possible with vanilla scripting. Perhaps with MWSE.

I imagine the author of http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43977/? could know how to do it.

You need MWSE for this. Once you have a hold of the actual item reference it's fairly simple to do. Coming up with a good mechanism to select the desired item is the hard part, especially since you can't create custom soulgems.
