Hi guys. I play on Xbox and am about to play on Legendary difficulty through all main quests for the first time ever.

I have a good guy battlemage who will be the Dragonborn. And an awesome evil guy who will become a vampire lord and do the dark brotherhood. I have spent many hours leveling them both without questing and won't use cheats or cheating exploits that ruin the game.

I have enchanting and smithing at 100 on both and use Blacksmiths Elixirs and Enchanters Elixirs. Both have fortify smithing apron, gloves, necklace, and rings made with the Enchanters Elixir. Also I drink the Blacksmiths Elixir before smithing with the gear.

I read that moth priest sandals can be enchanted with fortify smithing. Are there any more items or abilities that can raise enchanting or smithing higher? Like I said, no fortify restoration loop or anything. I have never leveled alchemy. If I max it can I make better potions using alchemy gear than the wonderful Elixirs that can easily be bought? Thanks for your time.

P.S. are there any major things I need to know before building a Hearthfire house?

Also is there a resist poison enchantment? I assume poison counts as a different damage like magic that armor rating doesn't effect. Do many enemies use poison? Sorry for so many questions, but I am at work and have to spit it all out at once.
