I try to put even the smallest enchantments on any object and it always fails. I have never used enchanting until now knowing it was with problems, but this playthrough I put it on major skills and decided to use it. But it is impossible. I ignored it until now, but I wanted to enchant something with a small Night Eye to be able to see where I was going in dungeons, but then I noticed that even if I put effect 1 for 1 second it still fails, its annoying. Its not like I have 5 enchant, I have 50.

The only mods I know that I have that affect enchanting are BTB's Game Improvements and MCP. This became a very important issue for me since with BTB's GI the enchantments are extremely expensive, and I make too little money to afford them, also I can't make fortify intelligence potions or enchant something with a Fortify Intelligence cast or Fortify Enchant.

So did I end up with a useless bugged major skill or is there a solution to be able to enchant something?

I believe that with BTBGI you can't self enchant at all, regardless of enchant skill. The enchanter costs actually were reduced 75% IIRC. Anyway, with BTBGI, no enchanting.

Thank you for the reply! I checked the BTB's GI readme and indeed the enchantments are disabled: "as well as disallowing players from creating self-enchanted items" .

Well that means I will not be able to enchant anything myself, and I can't afford to enchant anything at the enchanter. Great. Bring on the chloroform, BTB .

To be fair, even without my mod, it takes a considerable amount of skill or effort even to create mediocre enchantments on your own.
