To me, I didn't like the fact that my level didn't influence how I could enchant. At level 35, I want to be able to create a sword that blasts people away, while healing me and boosting my speed. Point two: weapons couldn't have effects on the user. That's dumb.
Furthermore, what you could enchant with (spells) was also limited. I wanted to make a dagger that would allow me to paralyze and run. Too bad I couldn't. I want to make enchanted weapons and armor that are AMAZING. None of this "fire damage" [censored]. On that note, it's also ridiculous that you could only assign one enchantment to each piece of equipment. WTF?
However, I DID like the altar of enchanting. I think it makes sense to have to be a powerful wizard before you can enchant an inanimate object.
Spellmaking- it was okay. Except that you needed to be in the university to do it. That pretty much eliminated the point of illusion with stealth characters. I could complain about the spells themselves, but that would be pointless. The only major grievance I had was paralyze. It took lvl 100 illusion to use it for anything. Also, deleting spells would have been VERY useful for when you created one that didn't behave like expected.
