Enchantment replacing?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 7:37 pm

Seeing as 3 skills have already been removed (mysticism, acrobatics, and athletics) So what is the other skill removed to make way for the return of the enchanting skill. My guess is Light and Heavy armor, to be replaced by a normal armored skill with branches for light and heavy (possibly medium and perhaps unarmoured as well)

Acrobatics and athletics are out too. So technically...we're one short instead of one over.

I already mentioned those, there were 21 skills in oblivion, 3 have been taking out that means there's 18 left.

Speechcraft and Mercantile will likely be the same skill now. Armorer will likely be changed to smithing.

Once again I already mentioned that.

But you make a good point about the speechcraft and mercantile.

Speechcraft and Mercantile I think have been confirmed as one skill, I keep posting this but did I hear somewhere Alchemy was put into Sneak? Or one of the other Stealthy skills, that's what I'm sure I heard :s Or I could have dreamed that up, I dunno but that's what I thought? I think this idea may have been reinforced in my head because I thought cooking was a skill now that it's in as an ability :s

Alchemy is it's own skill, it's just considered a thief skill now instead of a wizard one. Not that the classification matters.

Crap, still sleepy. Umm...

Its very possible that armor got merged into one skill with multiple tree's. Alchemy is now will the sneek skills, yes that was in the Toddcast. I still think barter and speechcraft, and security and sneek, are going to still be separate.

Combat
1-handed weapons
2-handed weapons
Unarmed
Archery
Block

Magic
Destruction
Conjuration
Illusion
Alteration
Restoration

Stealth
Sneak
Security
Armor
Speechcraft
Barter

Crafting
Smithing
Enchanting
Alchemy

(Almost confirmed List, some are speculated to have been removed)

Combat
  • One-handed
  • Two-handed
  • Block
  • Smithing
  • ?
  • ?

Magic
  • Destruction
  • Conjuration
  • Illusion
  • Alteration
  • Restoration
  • Enchantment

Stealth
  • Sneak
  • Speechcraft
  • Alchemy
  • Marksman
  • ?
  • ?

I would like just the one Armour Skill (That levels up quicker if your carrying lots of heavy gear), Speechcraft and Mercantile can be merged, security can be a perk in Sneak, Hand-to-Hand can be a a one-handed perk, I would love a Beastmaster/Horsemanship skill to let you tame and ride wild animals and attack better from them.

Add armor and smithing to combat, I'd assume.

And the good thing is we're not forced to abide by these 'walls'. Yes, archery is a stealth skill, but my warrior will be using it. Yes, one handed weaponry is a combat skill, but my assassin will definitely be using it.

Smithing is confirmed as a warrior skill.
