Enclave vs BoS In Combat

Post » Sat Sep 26, 2009 3:55 pm

In a naked fight, the Enclave would win. We tested it.

It's coded into Bethesda's freaking game. Wouldn't that qualify it as "cannon", which you are so keen on?

If you are following game mechanics, let the essential Sarah Lyons fight 200 Enclave troops and see who wins. Many those who support these results also say the LW can't fight like he actually does.

Seti, stop being a BoS really devoted fan and just accept it, they lost!

Better tech, deathclaw army, etc. BoS lose, its not the end of the world.

In-game NPC versus NPC and barring a cornucopia of circumstances, yeah, they do. You have to concede that it might not be so in realistic terms though. Which I think is the point Seti is going for, he's just trying to swing the tests in favour of the BoS. Having LP in the field is a big factor.

As far as this thread's topic. Me thinks every test of the NPC fights proved that the Enclave win out. Even Seti can't dispute that. But even without the tests - the stats decided the outcome. ^_^

Hold on, If the Enclave can have Deathclaws, why can't the BoS have Liberty Prime? While LP is unstoppable, Deathclaws are almost unstoppable.

1. mind control scrambler

2. BoS are larger.

3. BoS are more well-trained. They live in the wasteland, unlike the sheltered Enclave.

4. BoS have more knowledge of the wasteland in which they usually fight.

5. Some better technology doesn't make a better fighter.

6. The Enclave still lost.

Well I am done on any BoS vs. Enclave threads... An unnamed member will always defend BoS, they could shoot down an infant and he'd justify it. So I guess I am done on this thread, oh wait lets not forget, if the Enclave were to give out free pure food and water to the wasteland, they'd be evil demonz!!! But I am done with these threads... Have fun.

When did I ever say I was a devoted BoS fan? It just seems that many of you underestimate the BoS. They beat the Enclave in the game overall and fighting isn't based on ingame stats and technology alone. Read OniOne's post. There is no accurate test that we can do to prove who is stronger, but the BoS have many advantages that many of you don't take into account just because the game's AI is the same for both groups.

I think that the Enclave have something that quite obviously made LP completely decimated after BS.

Enclave have won in:

10v10

10(Enclave)v15(BoS)

Enclave are superior with their training and tech.

Again, the BoS live in the danger the Enclave train for. They are better adapted. The Enclave are sheltered and less well-trained than the BoS. The Enclave have better technology, but the BoS have more field experience and knowledge of their environment. Also, the BoS are less picky when it comes to recruits.

Has anyone tried that 10 Enclave versus spawns of BoS, horde style?

I remember reading that idea.

Isn't there some condition attached to that offer of pure water and food? And use of force if you don't take it up? lol

I guess I'll never know cos you've left the thread.

INGAME! Seti is arguing a different point. *mumbles on about conflicts throughout history where good tech and training fell on its ass...*

You need to increase the numbers by every round, I was hoping it would be filmed, too.

But, I'll trust your word.

No, I would not. I prefer the BoS because they don't shoot infants, like the Enclave do, but I am not major fan of the BoS, I just don't underestimate them. As OniOne said, there is a catch to that food and water. I don't try to justify murder for the BoS, but it seems some Enclave supporters try to justify the Enclave's murders.

I'm now running a test to solve one of our deepest and most profound problems:

Who has the LW really sided with? He's player controlled so... It's up to us overall, right?

It's up to Bethesda and it most likely will be the BoS.

So...

Spoiler
If my LW decided to utterly and completely decimate the BoS from the very Earth by blowing up their Citadel... That's not hating them? OMG

 No it's up to us. It's still somewhat of a RPG. We got to choose a path at the end. Some of us went one way and some went the other. It's up to the player to determine who their LW is and who he sides with. I'm tempted to join Talon Company now just to be different but I'm sticking with the Enclave.

I tried two things. First: 5 Enclave soldiers VS. 15 BOS Troops in an empty field. . The Enclave won with one badly wounded soldier left, and they crouched and moved around carefully, taking accurate shots.

The BOS on the other hand simply stood their taking wild shots, missing alot.

2nd: 5 Enclave VS. 15 BOS with the Enclave behind a couple of of barricades. The Enclave won by using the cover effectively and once again talking accurate shots. There were two soldiers left, one who had minor damage and one near death.

The BOS tried charging them head on, having their shots either missing or hitting the cover.

I did this with no mods on except a couple spawning mods.

Also, sorry for not capturing it on video. Fraps kept shutting off for some reason.

It is our choice in the game, but in lore it will not be. The past Fallout protagonists canonly take the side of the BoS and what the game company sees as the good path, which Bethesda and Black Isles Studios clearly have made the BoS path. Bethesda will choose one side, and based on past decisions and Bethesda's style, it will most likely be the BoS-favoring path that is canon. The LW is known for being the protagonist, and Bethesda clearly sees the BoS as the protagonist group. Again, I am not being a devoted BoS fan but I am making an inference.

If the Enclave can beat 15 BoS soldiers on an open plain with only 5 soldiers... I believe they're superior.

Will you quit it? Why am I a BoS zealot just because I make a logical inference or because I don't fanatically support the Enclave without seeing the BoS's side?
