Enclave Faction

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 10:16 pm

Is anyone else upset that the Enclave will not be making an appearance in Fallout: New Vegas? Obviously if they were to be in the game, they would play a small role since Fallout 3 was based around them. But I still think they should play a small role like the Brotherhood of Steel.

The Enclave was actually pretty destroyed in the end of FO2. In the west coast. So it makes no sense for them to be hanging around there. Remnants at best.

There is a small Enclave faction around, I believe. They just aren't all that important in the scheme of things, much like the Brotherhood.

Seeing as how the West Coast Enclave came down with a bad case of nuclear explosion, no.

I disagree. It made no sense that an organization, a self proclaimed government that powerful and methodical could just have one operation and keep everything on one dinky lil oil rig in the middle of the water. The Enclave were way too paranoid to leave everything to chance like that.

It makes perfect sense to me that the Enclave would have contingency plans and different cells popping up over various parts of the country, like their attempts to claim the capital.

That being said, I'm not upset they're not really in New Vegas. They were a huge part of FO2 and FO3, it's time for them to take a break and let newer factions like Caesar's Legion step in for awhile.

You may be in for some disappointment then, the Enclave play a small roll in the game. I guess since they have been cleared out on the west and east coasts. So that just leaves Central America, and theennnn we will can finally wash our hands of their filth.

I Won't be disappointed if they're not in. I'll just play Fallout 3 when i want to see alot of enclave, and New vegas when i don't. simple.

A small group doesn't bother me. I mean if they are big enough to hold any sway over the local political/military field.

12 disorganized dudes in a bunker somewhere is not that big of a deal. 120 well armed and equipped soldiers riding around in choppers is.

I think it's great that the old armour is back. It's way cooler than the crappy FO3 armour.

You've never played FO2, have you? I think it's the coolest power armour, with the good ol' BoS T-51b coming second.

I've seen the FO2 armor, and that armor looks WAY worse in NV than it does in FO2.

It doesn't have any of the bulk or intimidating presence the FO2 armor exuded. The menacing size and feel of the armor is just gone.

If you look at the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Advanced_Power_Armor_(Fallout_2) it just feels so much better than the NV version. NV APA looks scrawny as hell; I hope there's other options besides it, the rather dismal looking Tesla Armor, and the T-51b.

Just edited in some pics in my earlier post. Whether or not it's the 2D that causes that perception, the FO2 APA feels much bulkier and more intimidating than the NV APA. The New Vegas armor isn't bulky even compared to the Fallout 3 armors.
