Enclave Forces and German SS Similarities?

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 9:19 am

I have noticed several aspects of the enclave to be similar to attributes of the German Nazi SS.... For example their uniform type? colonels uniform is similar to SS officers uniforms from WW2... The enclave "stormtrooper" style troops albeit futuristic... Experiments on people etc... advanced technology... started as a Secretive splinter faction pre-great war within the US government...then emerging to be a force to reckon with later on... Their racist tendencies such as desiring to eliminate and being biased against mutants such as ghouls etc? "master race" etc.

I know this could be a controversial topic but i wanted to open it up and see what others thought about this... maybe i am wrong... maybe not... i would like to hear others opinion on this or if they have or have not also noticed the similarities.

Yeah but the Enclave Officers uniform also look like the DeathStar Officer uniforms from Star Wars.

Personally I would have liked to have bumped into a Nazi Easter Egg in the game, a small US Army bunker with experimental Man/Monster SS soldiers from WWII, the US soldiers had found in a secret Nazi Research Facility and placed in stasis for future development and study with some German firearms from WWII as well.

The whole quasi-Nazi theme that was present in Fallout 3 was one of the many mistakes/revisions made by Bethesda. Now though the US Government of Fallout 2 was portrayed as having an obvious eugenics policy, there was no aura of Nazism but rather more akin to an extreme nativism with immigrants being substituted for ghouls and mutants.
