Name: Alejandro Rodriguez
Age: 28
six: Male
Race: Hispanic
Rank: Warrant Officer
Skills: He has an extensive knowledge of explosives, ranging from plasma to fragmentation, as well heavy weaponry. Other then those two specialties, Alejandro's only other skill is a slight knowledge of CQC, but its nothing to brag about, and he prefers to engage hostiles from a distance anyway.
Class: Demolition Man and Heavy Weapons
Physical Appearance: Alejandro stands at an impressive 6'4, a towering menace to his adversaries. Hes a bit older then other Enclave members, meaning that his body isn't as fit as the next soldier, but he still has a fair build; enough to hold his weapons at least. He has loose, dark brown hair that drops right onto his neck, which he usually has flipped back. His skin is fairly tanned, dark brown eyes, and his facial hair consists of a small soul patch at the bottom of his chin.
Personality: Alejandro is as far from the standard Enclave soldier as you can get. He is optimistic, charming, and usually tries to make the best of any situation he manages to get himself into. He's often ridiculed from his constant joking and happy attitude, but he tries his best to keep morale high, especially on the battlefield. He believes that everyone needs a joke here and there to keep them going, but sometimes he gets out of hand and doesn't know when to stop. He usually uses humor as a defense mechanism, mostly to deflect personal and emotional questions.
He has also been known to disobey orders. Alejandro has a certain moral standard, and he won't allow other soldiers to trample on civilians and cause unnecessary casualties. If it weren't for his skill-set, most believe he would have been kicked out a long time ago.
Weapons: An assortment of plasma based explosives, including mines and grenades, as well as a few sets of satchel charges. For primary weaponry, he carries a Gatling laser, modded to increase fire-rate. For secondary, he carries a missile launcher, miniaturized for portability (and so he doesn't throw out his back), but still packs a serious punch. Because of the weight of his weapons, the only chance he has if his enemies get close are his fists.
Armor: Alejandro wears an aged Advanced Power Armor Mk I, which he has had since he first enlisted. He mostly keeps it around for sentimental reasons, given the fact that its saved his life more times then he cares to remember. Under his standard armor, he wears standard Enclave personal attire, which is what he has equipped when not in combat. It consists of grey pants, a black and grey vest, and combat boots.
Backstory:
Alejandro isn't like all the other Enclave soldiers, in the sense that he wasn't born into the Enclave alongside them. He was actually born in a Vault, just north of Washington, that had stayed sealed all this time. His Hispanic heritage stretches back all the way to Pre-War Mexico, when his ancestors ran a series of successful explosives factories. Unfortunately, thanks to a shady business deal with the criminal underworld, his family was forced to relocate from Mexico and into Pre-War America. Fortunately, however, his ancestors still had a large amount of money, and were able to secure a position in one of the vaults. Throughout the years since atomic fire drenched the Earth, his family kept their heritage alive by passing along their knowledge of Mexico and the Spanish language to their successors.
As the Enclave began exploring the local regions, they discovered his vault. Because vault's were one of the few locations where pure humans still existed, they deemed the inhabitants worthy of being recruited into the might Enclave. This was one of the rare cases that outsiders were allowed entrance into the the Enclave, and this was due mostly to the fact that they their vault had remained closed and untouched all the way up until the Enclave's visit.
Nevertheless, Alejandro and his family, consisting of his two sisters and mother, were integrated into the Enclave. He was only 15 when they were integrated, so he wasn't force into the armed forces like the other males of the Vault. Instead, he was simply moved with his mother and sisters to the research facility at Raven Rock. There, he began reading through the archives of information that the Enclave had on explosives, and found himself enthralled with learning as much as he could on the subject. He began constructing makeshift explosives of his own with scraps he found, and even swiped some plasma mines and grenades from his mom's research department and dissembled them himself.
This series of reckless thieving and experimentation eventually caught on to him, when Enclave officers began questioning the department on why so many explosives had gone missing. Their investigations eventually led them to the Rodriguez household, and they quickly located all the missing explosives and even Alejandro's handcrafted ones. They shouted at the family, demanding someone step up and take the blame. His mother stepped forward, claiming they were hers, and apologized for what she had done.
She was shot on the spot.
After the incident, his sisters were taken away from him, and Alejandro was forced into service at age 17. While it sickened him what they had done, he understood why they had done it, and proudly served beside his fellow soldiers; but a heavy cloud of guilt continuously hung over his head from his mother's death, causing severe physic trauma. He swore to himself that he wouldn't let the Enclave commit such an atrocity to any other family ever again, and thus the reason for his moral beliefs. As of now, he uses humor to help cope with what happened to him, and gives himself off as a laid-back wiseguy, when in truth he is just using it to hide.
Due to his extensive practice with explosives, Alejandro was a natural fit for demolition tasked assignments and sabotage. Over the years, he gained a reputation for being able to blow apart anything that came his way, whether it was power-armored boy-scouts or layered Vault doors. He was a prime candidate for Sigma Squad, who were in need for a demolition man of sorts, and had his name put forward by his CO.
