Enclave Rising RP Thread

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 7:09 am

The Story:

Ever since the bombs dropped, the Enclave have laid in wait on their oil rig. Code-named Control Station " Enclave " the rig served as the headquarters of the shadow government which took its name. The organization advanced on technology from the old world, developing their own as well. Soldiers trained constantly while scientists pondered and experimented. The Enclave ran similarly to the real government it waited behind. A president was essentially the leader, with the appropriate cabinet, he presumably issued orders.

The waiting and planning ended when the Enclave decided it was time to annex the wastes and assert their authority. Teams are sent out to preform recon in California. Scouts find Mariposa military base in ruin. Scientists and others begin exploring. They find a chemical called FEV in vats on the lower level. Men mutate and become a work force for the Enclave's dig. Many are exposed, one man being Frank Horrigan who's taken for study. The mutants revolt after the Enclave retrieve their precious data on the FEV.

Many things happen afterward culminating in the Enclave's destruction. The base Navarro is purged, leaving few to no survivors. The still-sizable force is called to Raven Rock by an entity calling itself the " President ". The force, lead by Autumn Senior, traveled across the country to the DC wastes. Autumn Senior fond out this mysterious being is a ZAX super-computer, 'named' John Henry Eden. After he passed, Senior's son Augustus steps up. He gains control of the Enclave's military. Eden and Autumn work together well. Until Autumn deactivates the computer and declares Eden's death. Autumn lies that Eden appointed him President, allowing him to gain complete control of the Enclave.

The Enclave waits once more, for a time to strike. They find about the attempted resurrection of Project Purity and hear of the Brotherhood fortifying the position. They send spies to see if seizing control will be possible. Enclave forces find a functional GECK in Vault 87. Their goal is to dominate the wasteland, then take it. After they have the DC wasteland in their grip, they will make all mutations disappear. Preparations are made for the eradication of the pests known as the Brotherhood of Steel. Forces are assembled, the full might of the Enclave is ready to make war on the inferior mutants of the Brotherhood.

Our cast:

1. TheLoneRanger - Zachary Davis - Infantry/Heavy Weapons
Spoiler

Name: Zachary Davis
Rank: Captain
Age: 35
six: Male
Race: Caucasian
Skills: Energy Weapons, Heavy Weapons, Repair, Science, and Speech.
Class: Infantryman/Heavy Weapons

Physical Appearance: Davis stands at 6'5 and 220 pounds of homegrown Enclave toughness. He has a average build for an Enclave trooper, with only a little bit more muscle. He has dirty blonde hair cut to the military standard. He's strictly clean cut with no facial hair. His eyes are blue as the ocean and have a piercing intensity.

Personality: To his fellow Enclavers, he is friendly and patriotic. He considers the Enclave his family. Davis is a perfect example of unfaltering Enclave loyalty. He completely believes in their mission. Davis is different from some commanders in the way he handles his troops. He values their health and always makes sure they are in good shape. Once he knows his squad he prefers no to move to another, he likes the familiarity of commanding those he knows. The Captain treats wastelanders with absolutely no remorse or compassion. He views them as worthless mutants with nothing to contribute to the Enclave's America. He agreed much more with Eden's way of annihilating the mutants. He disagrees with Autumn's way of reasoning with the filth. With his men, Davis encourages the deaths of civilians and any mutations. Sentient ghouls especially.

Weapons: Plasma Rifle ( modified so projectiles move as fast as possible, with extra punch ), Plasma pistol ( modified with more of a kick to each bolt ), and a Gauss Rifle ( with and advanced scope ). A Gatling Laser replaces both his rifles for his heavy weapons loadout. The Gatling Laser has visibly darker beams, maroon in color that are also thicker. The beams indicate the moderately higher damage.

Armor: Enclave Tesla Power Armor, painted elite orange and matte black ( the unofficial and rarely used color to identify Sigma members ). The eyes, mouthpiece, kneeplates, boots, and pauldrons are bathed in orange. Modified with an advanced sight that extends over the eye-slot of the armor when activated. Extra plates have been added for more protection. The left pauldron of his armor extends down along his arm and is enlarged. It can be and is, used as a bullet shield. It cannot however, protect against energy weapons. Finally there is a retractable blade that juts out of the right forearm of the armor when activated. It is used as an emergency hand-to-hand weapon.

Clothes: When not fighting Davis wears an Enclave Officer's uniform that is painted in a similar manner to his armor. He doesn't wear the cap, although he sometimes takes the coat off, which reveals a white t-shirt underneath.

Backstory: Zack Davis was born into the Davis family of the Enclave, shortly after the destruction of the Rig. His surname and blood assured he would grow to be a fine soldier. His father was a prestigious Commander in the military while his mother was an accomplished medic. The boy was young but already he was being groomed to be a great patriot. His father was always speaking of the heroism of the remnants of the US. How they were saving humanity. Young Davis was raised in a gang of roving Enclave. They stayed away from cities and such, living off the land. The group rallied at a small Enclave bunker that was hidden underground. It was there Autumn Senior's large force had told them to go so they may reunite. The two groups merged into the remainder of the Enclave on the west coast.

Navarro remnants and others were in the force, they set off for Raven Rock when Autumn Senior received Eden's message. Davis's father taught him the Enclave's history and tutored the boy in military strategy. The Commander instructed his boy in the use of energy weapons and how to maintain them. Young Davis's mother loved on him and provided an alternative to his father's rather tough love. She taught Zack of medicine, ( anatomy especially ), and science. His mother told him the magics at work when his energy weapon was fired. The boy was bright and caught on quickly. Though he was only looking at the most rudimentary aspects. The future Captain traveled many miles alongside Autumn Senior and his 21-year-old son. Young Davis liked Autumn Junior a great deal and took lessons in proper soldering. Though he was quite young he learned astoundingly fast. He remembered too. Between Augustus and his father, Zack was becoming a prime candidate for a soldier. After an extremely long travel the large group found itself at Raven Rock. Davis grew up in it's warm, mechanical embrace. His father continued teaching him to soldier, while his mother kept to educating him in the more subtle fields.

Once he turned 18 Zack enlisted in the military. His father guaranteed entrance, but provided no special treatment. Davis was exposed to the most grueling training imaginable. His body was pushed to its very limit. The young man ran for miles with buckets on his shoulders, and was rarely allowed water. Ultimately the would-be Captain passed his training and associated tests. He went out on strike missions, raids, and even verti-assaults. Davis relished combat and it's adrenaline rush. He killed many raiders and ghouls, some civilians too. He cared about none of them. He only cared for his family and his Enclave.

More years passed and Davis accumulated an impressive resume, attaining the rank of Lieutenant at age 29. He was a veteran of many dangerous operations, some riddled with red tape. He was put in command of his own troops and lead with distinction. He made sure his men were safe and made keeping them safe his concern. Augustus and Davis were still good friends throughout. He commanded his own men for his career up until 36 when President Autumn handpicked his younger friend to command the elite of the elite, within the Enclave. Zack was put in charge of the new Sigma Squad, that he and Autumn put together. His father beamed with pride at this and inspired his son ever further.

Davis was thrilled with the prospect and has been given the entire files on the men he picked. He eagerly waits his squad's arrival in a designated briefing room.

On her right arm, is a Scanner. It can anolyze chemicals, foreign microbes, animals, bodies, and anything that is biological. Along with that, she also has back up medical equipment if her armor fails to asses the medical situation, which rarely happens.

Backstory: Jennifer Tercorien was born into the well known Medical/Scientific family the "Tercoriens". Her family dates back to the early 1800's when the Russians established Fort Ross. Ivan Kuskov of the Russa-American Company married a lone U.S Settler named Mary Tercorien. Despite though, the first Tercoriens were not know for there apitude in Medicine and Science but were a small but growing family that would be vital to the U.S and Enclave.
Then during in 1939, Adam Tercorien, a U.S Navy Corpsman married a Japanese Immigrant Biologist to US named Rena Harano. By this time, the Tercoriens/Kuskov's were a large family. There family branched off again. When the Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor occured, Rena was taken evacuated over the Bering Strait to prevent persecution.

There she stayed in the Kuskovs estate in Moscow. Along with that, Vladimir Kuskov, was a General who persuaded the paranoid Stalin to keep Rena in Moscow. Rena decided to help the war effort by persuading Stalin to use biological weapons as she would develop them. She was smart, and sadistic and cunning, a side Adam did not knew. Her cousin was a scientist with the infamous Japanese Biological Weapons research group, UNIT 731. For 3 years, she mixed and matched various strains of bacteria and viruses. She then created Bacillus Thanatos. It was a infection endospore that spreaded through the air, though would die out in a hour. It creates gashes and lacerations throughout the body, while it produced the Endospore in the host body. After that, it start to spread out to the various part of the body, killing them. The cuts provide a direct exit for the toxin to spread like a gas. Bacillus Thanatos was the basis for the FEV.

Stalin used Thanatos during the Battle of Kursk and Battle of Berlin, though despite though killed of also many soldiers the Red Army and halted it, though had the idea and would be used as a superweapon against the West, as Stalin had plans to invade Europe and U.S. Her husband fought during the Islands Campaign, surviving for the next 5 years, becoming a Psychologist after the war. Stalin grew attached to Rena, as he did not want her to escape and spill his secrets but was killed by Rena. She put a dose of Thanatos into his food 2 weeks after the war and died. She then escaped back, and worked as a Professor in UCLA.As Communism became a increasing threat, a group of sentaors, military generals, researchers, statesman, business leaders, and the President founded the Enclave. The Tercorien/Harano family was there, as Adam was with the U.S Bioweapons Reserch. When Rena showed up, she showed her the Bioweapon she created during WW2 while under the Russians and gave info on them and the papers. She was accepted into the Enclave and the bond between the Tercorien/Harano grew stronger.

When the Cold War ended between the U.S and Russia, the Kuskov met the Harano's and a large political, family was born. The Kuskov's heard theories about the Enclave and knew they were real as they were part of a secret Russian group the (The Elite of Russia)Элита России. The Tercorien's and Harano's also knew there was a group like that.

By the 2250's the Tercorien/Harano/Kuskov's were part of the Enclave. Some of the Kuskovs favored the U.S but still loved there country culturally. They contributed to the research of the New Plague and FEV. Many of them,(mainly from the Tercorien's and Harano's worked with the U.S Military, Med-Tek, West-Tek and other goverment centers. Robert Tercorien became the head of the CDC on 2059. On 2066, the Sino-American War started and Eliott Tercorien and others of the family fought. The Kuskovs from Russia fought for Russia during the 3rd Winter War between Germany, Sweden, Finland, and Italy. When the Vault project began, Wayne Tercorien a sociologist and Psychologist devised the Vault Experiments for the Enclave. On October 15, 2077, the main families of theTercoriens's, Harano's, and small part of the Kuskov's were retreated into the Oil Rig. The extended families of Tercoriens's, Harano's and Kuskov's were abandoned to there fate as they numbered to 300 in total. Among with the other families including the Sutler's, Ashcroft's, and Bisley. Other military, researchers and smaller political families retreated to the Oil Rig. There, the Tercoriens's, Harano's and Kuskov's were intergrated into the Enclave Chemical Corps. Others were intergrated into the Enclave Armed Forces.

Decker Kuskov was a presidential candiate but lost to Richardson. As for the Kuskovs in Russia, they became head of the new goverment there and started to rebuild as many high ranking officals took refuge in Siberia.Jennifer was born on 2252, after the Enclave's destruction in the west. She did not have much memeory during that time except her family retreated to the East and winding up in Raven Rock and AFB. There, she worked as a researcher at the age of 16, assisting the Chem Corps in Edens final solution. She despised Edens plans because it would kill off everybody. She preferred one that would eliminate just the mutants, until Colonel Autumn became President. Her family regarded her just like her ancestor Rena. She learned about the BOS and NCR of what they did to the Enclave and instead became a Field Scientist and Medic to fight them and see them die. She renowned for a a medic with a pupose to protect her Brothers but a cruel scientist to abominations, wastleanders and her enemy the BOS to further the Enclaves work. She evnetually got her place into Sigma Squad.

4. Lt. Andronicus - Andrew Matthews - Infantry/Engineer
Spoiler

Name: Andrew Matthews
Rank: LieutenantAge: 32
six: MaleRace: Caucasian
Skills: Is proficient with a plasma rifle, plasma pistol, and has an expert understand of robotics associated with the Enclave. (Tag skills I assume would be energy weapons, repair, and science)

Class: Robotic Engineer/Infantryman

Physical Appearance: Rather unassuming in physical appearance, Matthews has short dark brown hair in the “clean cut style,” matching brown eyecolor, a clean shaven face, and an average build.

Personality: Matthews is usually friendly and always ready to talk with a fellow officer or soldier. He is fiercely loyal to the Enclave and its leadership, but does tend to ask questions if he feels a mistake has been made or is going to be made. This does not mean however, that he is willing to disobey an order; instead he is a stickler for protocol and follows it too the letter.

In battle, Matthews is cold and calculating, but has been known to show mercy to enemies who he feels “deserve” it and if it does not conflict with prior established directives. Otherwise, he will execute even injured hostiles without question if the situation calls for it.Like most in the Enclave, Matthews has a distrust for wastelanders, but he has voiced his opinion that he believes there still may be some good to come from the wasteland if it can be utilized correctly.

Weapons: Standard plasma rifle (primary), plasma pistol (secondary, used as a personal side-arm), slightly modified ripper (carried as a last-resort secondary weapon). As Matthews is a robotics engineer, he can perform actions such as hacking into enemy turrets and repairing/hacking/utilizing robotic personnel for his own advantage.Armor: Enclave Tesla Advanced Power Armor Mk II. He usually wears an Enclave officer uniform when not in combat.

Backstory:Matthews was born shortly after the fall of the Oil Rig and following the evacuation to Raven Rock. As a result, his entire life has been defined by the East Coast and former President John Henry Eden. He has only rarely stepped foot from Raven Rock, which has been his home for his entire life.
As he grew older, Matthews was eventually enlisted into the Enclave Tesla Regiments and later, the Enclave Robotic Engineering Core. The Robotic Engineering Core is responsible for much of the development and production of Enclave robotic equipment including, but not limited to, production systems in Raven Rock for vertibirds/weapons/armor , overseeing robot assembly, robot design, and turret construction and maintenance. He has thus served a dual role in both for much of his life, serving as an officer in the Tesla regiments as well as a ranking officer of the core.

Eventually his remarkable talents in both these roles led him to be inducted into elite Enclave Special Operations Force: Sigma Squad. With which he has served with distinction. When Eden was “alive” Matthews hung on his every word and was enthralled by the President’s leadership and charisma. When the President tragically died, Matthews was saddened greatly. He also at this time grew suspicious of the former Colonel Augustus Autumn who claimed that Eden had given him authority upon his death. Matthews is racked by feelings of mistrust of Autumn, who at one time he looked up to (and still does in many respects), and who he fears may have usurped power illegitimately from President Eden. This however, clashes with his mantra of “loyalty and obedience” first.

As a result of this emotional distress, he has become greatly troubled in recent months, but shows no outward signs of it. Should he discover Autumn’s usurpation though, or should it be made public, one would be hard-pressed to find a more infuriated individual.Like Autumn, Matthews shares southern heritage in his family line, and he speaks with a slight accent reminiscent of Autumn (but not to the same degree).

5. Uriel Septim VII - Tyler Nakamura - Engineer/Infantry

Spoiler

Name: Tyler (Ty) James Nakamura
Age: 22
six: Male
Race: Half Asian, Half Caucasian

Skills: He’s a passable marksman with both energy weapons, as well as traditional firearms. He’s also a fair hand to hand fighter. All in all, his combat skills are wholly average, but his strength isn’t in his actual skill, it’s in keeping his enemies on their toes by switching his tactics constantly. One moment he may be having a long range engagement with his Multiplas Rifle, and the next he may be rushing in with his Industrial Hand. Ty’s even been known to simply grab random objects and toss them, or use them as makeshift melee weapons. He’s very good with most technology -- including some minor robotics -- and he’s an expert at fortifying and defending a position. He uses both found objects, as well as his tools in order to hamper any attempts to overtake him.

Class: Engineer, Infantry

Physical Appearance: He stands at 5’9”, and weighs 175 lbs, which would give him a sort of stocky build (in the muscular sense). He has pale skin, and straight, black hair that is cropped close to his head, as well as a thick soul patch. His eyes are an icy blue color, and their shape is a dead giveaway to his Japanese ancestry, though the rest of his facial features are more European.

Personality: He may seem introverted to most, but he just doesn’t like talking to people he doesn’t know or trust, which makes it hard for him to know or trust anyone. It’s something of a conundrum, but because of this he has come to value the few close friendships he does have, and the few people he calls his friends earn his undying loyalty. He isn’t the bravest man in the world, but if something or someone he cares about is in danger, he’ll leap to the rescue without a single thought for his own well-being. He’s also obsessed with tinkering and is constantly making small improvements to his weapons and armor.

Weapons: His primary weapon is a red Multiplas Rifle, which he slings over his back. His secondary weapon is a custom 12.7mm Pistol (physically identical to the Li’l Devil from the GRA expansion for New Vegas) that he holsters on his right hip. He has a removable silencer for it.His melee weapon is an Industrial Hand which is integrated into his power armor, and as such has been painted grey to match.

Armor: On missions he wears a modified suit of power armor. The helmet, arms and legs are from a suit of Enclave Hellfire Armor, and have been retrofitted onto the torso of a suit of standard Enclave Advanced Power Armor Mk II. An Industrial Hand has been integrated into the right arm of the power armor, and the helmet has a skull painted onto it.While not on missions he wears a black tank top, a brown leather jacket with a white fur lining around the collar, black leather fingerless gloves, olive green cargo pants with reinforced knees held up by a brown leather belt, and black leather steel toe boots.

Backstory: Working on it.

6. Tiberius67 - Bob Dobbs - Infantry/Spec Ops
Spoiler

Name: Sergeant 1/c J.R. “Bob” Dobbs, Jr.
Age: 32
six: M
Race: Caucasian
Skills: Small Guns, Melee, Explosives, Sneak. Dobbs can use Energy weapons, mainly the Gauss Rifle, adequately but prefers guns as they can be suppressed.
Class: Infantryman (Special Ops/Infiltration) In his unit he was the Infiltration/Explosives expert, and back up for the unit's sniper.

Physical Appearance: A wiry, handsome man with brown hair and brown eyes. People familiar with pre-war advertising posters scattered around the Wasteland note that Dobbs strongly resembles the male models chosen to depict the typical American male. This has been brought to his attention so many times he has taken to carrying around a pipe and occasionally smoking it or holding it in his teeth. Wears his Red Airborne Beret and Authority glasses whenever he can.

Personality: A dutiful solder, but has a dry sense of humor that occasionally gets him into trouble. He is friendly and loyal to his comrades, but doesn’t really see Wastelanders as people and will harm or kill them without compunction if doing so advances the mission, otherwise he regards them with complete indifference. Firmly loyal to the Enclave and eager for the struggle to come.

Weapons: Side-arms: Suppressed 12.7mm pistol and Combat knife. Main weapon is suppressed 12.7mm SMG –or- USAS-12 Automatic Shotgun –or- Marksman Carbine. If deployed as a sniper he will use either a suppressed .308 sniper rifle or a Gauss Rifle for a main weapon as mission appropriate. Field explosives kit.

Armor: Hellfire Armor (can draw a suit of Recon Armor from stores if more appropriate to the mission) .

Backstory: Born in 2245 in ‘Site T’ (known in the Enclave as Facility Tango), a Pre-War military command bunker built under Vault 62, about 20 miles from St Louis near Scott AFB in Southern Illinois. Once the survivors of Station ENCLAVE arrived in the Capital Wasteland, they began rebuilding their strength by conscripting civilians stationed at the various Enclave facilities East of the Mississippi. Drafted at 16, Dobbs was brought to Raven Rock and then sent to Adams AFB for training. Induction testing showed marked ability for using explosives and small arms so he was assigned to a Combat Engineer Company.
During his Combat Engineer training at Adams AFB, an additional talent emerged.

The Armorers at the Adams AFB armory noted anomalies in their inventory of explosives. At the same time, Base security had reported several incidents where Wastelanders, mostly Raiders but a few scavengers as well, had been found inside and near the base perimeter, killed with a knife or by ingeniously placed explosive booby traps. A investigation was launched, and eventually Private Dobbs was pulled out of training class and marched to the Base Commander’s office. Once there, he was confronted with Eyebot footage of him sneaking out of his barracks in the dead of night, lying in wait by an until then unknown flaw in the security fence where he waited until a group of three Raiders entered the base. He then tracked down and killed two Raiders with a booby-trapped Jet inhaler he planted where they would find it and then the third with a knife. When asked why, he answered “It was good practice.”

His Company Commander recommended that he be Court-Martialled, but that was overruled by the Base Commander. After a 90 day stint in Solitary for not reporting the security breach he was reassigned to the Fifth Verti-Assault Company (Rangers) where after passing Airborne training with honors he was trained in Special Ops as a Infiltration Specialist. Finding the regimen more to his liking, Dobbs has been a model soldier ever since. A veteran of countless raids and Black Ops against Raiders, various groups of Wastelanders, and even occasionally against the Brotherhood, he is eager to get started reclaiming America from the unambitious and dirty Trespassers who currently are squatting on it.

7. Drop_Dead - Alejandro Rodriguez - Heavy Weapons/Demolition
Spoiler

Name: Alejandro Rodriguez
Age: 28
six: Male
Race: HispanicRank: Warrant Officer
Skills: He has an extensive knowledge of explosives, ranging from plasma to fragmentation, as well heavy weaponry. Other then those two specialties, Alejandro's only other skill is a slight knowledge of CQC, but its nothing to brag about, and he prefers to engage hostiles from a distance anyway.

Class: Demolition Man and Heavy Weapons

Physical Appearance: Alejandro stands at an impressive 6'4, a towering menace to his adversaries. Hes a bit older then other Enclave members, meaning that his body isn't as fit as the next soldier, but he still has a fair build; enough to hold his weapons at least. He has loose, dark brown hair that drops right onto his neck, which he usually has flipped back. His skin is fairly tanned, dark brown eyes, and his facial hair consists of a small soul patch at the bottom of his chin.

Personality: Alejandro is as far from the standard Enclave soldier as you can get. He is optimistic, charming, and usually tries to make the best of any situation he manages to get himself into. He's often ridiculed from his constant joking and happy attitude, but he tries his best to keep morale high, especially on the battlefield. He believes that everyone needs a joke here and there to keep them going, but sometimes he gets out of hand and doesn't know when to stop. He usually uses humor as a defense mechanism, mostly to deflect personal and emotional questions.
He has also been known to disobey orders. Alejandro has a certain moral standard, and he won't allow other soldiers to trample on civilians and cause unnecessary casualties. If it weren't for his skill-set, most believe he would have been kicked out a long time ago.

Weapons: An assortment of plasma based explosives, including mines and grenades, as well as a few sets of satchel charges. For primary weaponry, he carries a Gatling laser, modded to increase fire-rate. For secondary, he carries a missile launcher, miniaturized for portability (and so he doesn't throw out his back), but still packs a serious punch. Because of the weight of his weapons, the only chance he has if his enemies get close are his fists.

Armor: Alejandro wears an aged Advanced Power Armor Mk I, which he has had since he first enlisted. He mostly keeps it around for sentimental reasons, given the fact that its saved his life more times then he cares to remember. Under his standard armor, he wears standard Enclave personal attire, which is what he has equipped when not in combat. It consists of grey pants, a black and grey vest, and combat boots.

Backstory: Alejandro isn't like all the other Enclave soldiers, in the sense that he wasn't born into the Enclave alongside them. He was actually born in a Vault, just north of Washington, that had stayed sealed all this time. His Hispanic heritage stretches back all the way to Pre-War Mexico, when his ancestors ran a series of successful explosives factories. Unfortunately, thanks to a shady business deal with the criminal underworld, his family was forced to relocate from Mexico and into Pre-War America. Fortunately, however, his ancestors still had a large amount of money, and were able to secure a position in one of the vaults. Throughout the years since atomic fire drenched the Earth, his family kept their heritage alive by passing along their knowledge of Mexico and the Spanish language to their successors. As the Enclave began exploring the local regions, they discovered his vault. Because vault's were one of the few locations where pure humans still existed, they deemed the inhabitants worthy of being recruited into the might Enclave. This was one of the rare cases that outsiders were allowed entrance into the the Enclave, and this was due mostly to the fact that they their vault had remained closed and untouched all the way up until the Enclave's visit.

Nevertheless, Alejandro and his family, consisting of his two sisters and mother, were integrated into the Enclave. He was only 15 when they were integrated, so he wasn't force into the armed forces like the other males of the Vault. Instead, he was simply moved with his mother and sisters to the research facility at Raven Rock. There, he began reading through the archives of information that the Enclave had on explosives, and found himself enthralled with learning as much as he could on the subject. He began constructing makeshift explosives of his own with scraps he found, and even swiped some plasma mines and grenades from his mom's research department and dissembled them himself. This series of reckless thieving and experimentation eventually caught on to him, when Enclave officers began questioning the department on why so many explosives had gone missing. Their investigations eventually led them to the Rodriguez household, and they quickly located all the missing explosives and even Alejandro's handcrafted ones. They shouted at the family, demanding someone step up and take the blame. His mother stepped forward, claiming they were hers, and apologized for what she had done.

She was shot on the spot.

After the incident, his sisters were taken away from him, and Alejandro was forced into service at age 17. While it sickened him what they had done, he understood why they had done it, and proudly served beside his fellow soldiers; but a heavy cloud of guilt continuously hung over his head from his mother's death, causing severe physic trauma. He swore to himself that he wouldn't let the Enclave commit such an atrocity to any other family ever again, and thus the reason for his moral beliefs. As of now, he uses humor to help cope with what happened to him, and gives himself off as a laid-back wiseguy, when in truth he is just using it to hide.

Due to his extensive practice with explosives, Alejandro was a natural fit for demolition tasked assignments and sabotage. Over the years, he gained a reputation for being able to blow apart anything that came his way, whether it was power-armored boy-scouts or layered Vault doors. He was a prime candidate for Sigma Squad, who were in need for a demolition man of sorts, and had his name put forward by his CO.

8. Elvis - George Hoffman - Heavy Weapons
Spoiler

Name:George Hoffman
Age:
51
six: Male
Race: Caucasian
Skills: George is skilled in the use of all energy firearms. He is most proficient with heavy weapons, but carries a secondary plasma rifle for unplanned close encounters. He is strong despite his age, but not terribly fast- a trait that was worsened by a leg wound sustained during the evacuation of Control Station ENCLAVE.
Class: ( Medic, Engineer, Heavy Weapons, Infantryman, ) Heavy Weapons

Physical Appearance: George is a tall, broad-shouldered man with thick arms, legs and neck. He has only a black shadow of hair remaining on his head, with dark blue eyes and a close-cropped beard around his jaws.

Personality: George is a blunt, stubborn, unforgiving man who opts for ruthlessness when dealing with foes. He is calculating, cold, controlling and a proven battle commander from his younger days. In his younger days before the fall of the Oil Rig, he lead many excursions out into the American Mainland to prepare the invasion. George also has a very powerful presence, and can make even the most confident of people extremely uncomfortable. He does not hesitate to speak his mind, and doesn't coat his words.

Weapons: ( Think Enclave )Primary: Gatling Laser Secondary: Plasma Rifle

Armor: (Restricted to models of Power Armor at the Enclave's disposal) A family Tesla Armour MKII Variant (black with a dark colouring along the arms and legs, with his surname in red on the chest piece) when necessary. Normal Enclave uniform when at base under a black trench coat with the Enclave insignia on the briast.

Backstory: ( A big area, think about this one ) George was born and raised on Control Station ENCLAVE. He developed a strong sense of American patriotism as he grew up on the base, and his family were adamant supporters of President Richardson. The time of his life was particularly exciting form a pure strain member of the Enclave, as the master plan of saving the United States from the grips of mutants was coming to fruition when George hit his peak. He had gone through severe training to prepare him for life as an Enclave soldier. The Hoffman family were politically important, and so George was also an astute diplomat.
For his skill and charisma, the young man was chosen to lead one of the various scouting parties sent to make contact with the mainland of the United States. Landing in California, Hoffman was shocked to discover horrifically deformed mutants and zombies roaming the once great American soil. His party began exploring the wasteland, and George ordered all individuals encountered killed. After a day of exploration, he returned to the Oil Rig with shocking reports having found noting but desolate buildings, savage tribals and mutants.

Soon enough, the leading members of the Enclave decided that the mutants of the Mainland had to die, a plan George agreed with. Many Enclave personnel were sent out to search for a large group of unclean wastelanders, and George was a part of the team that discovered Arroyo. The planning and work was all undone in the fall of the Oil Rig. George managed to escape with Autumn Senior to the East Coast and Raven Rock, although his wife and two sons both perished. He changed from a happy, charismatic man to a bitter, serious one. The fall of the Oil Rig only increased his beliefs in the Final Solution that Richardson had proposed. At first he was suspicious of the new President Eden, but as time went on he found himself agreeing with him and soon built up a strong loyalty.

His apparent death hit the old Hoffman hard, yet another great Enclave president dead. Augustus Autumn assumed the position of presidency. George protested strongly to this - Autumn believed that it would be a better idea to try and reason with the contaminated wastelanders, rather than exterminate them. George saw this as a betrayal of what the Enclave stood for, and made his opposition known. He also had suspicions of how power had passed from Eden to Autumn, but these reservations he kept to himself. As President Autumn launched the attack on the Capital Wasteland, he offered Hoffman a position in Sigma Squad despite their differences, due to his skills and experience. George agreed, and became heavy weapons expert and advisor to the leader.

9. The Enclave - Alan Sutler - Sniper/Spec Ops
Spoiler

Name: Alan James Sutler.

Date of Birth: 15 – 11 – 2222 (55 years-old).

six: Male.

Race: Caucasian.

Skills: Small Guns, Explosives and Science.

Class: Designated Marksman/Special Operations.

Rank: Captain

Physical Appearance: Stands at a height of 5”11’, lean and athletic. Black/Silver hair combed back in a widow’s peak with a neat black moustache and a pair of eyeglasses; his face is thin and angular.

Personality: A follower of Enclave policy with almost reverent passion, Sutler considers all his Enclave brethren as an extended family; on the flip-side he is entirely apathetic to those outside the nation with a penchant for needless and excessive cruelty and sadism to his opponents (read victims). Even to those whom he is close with however he can be cold and distant, preferring greatly the company of his family and his desk at the Defence Intelligence Agency; he is however largely unwilling to risk the lives of his peers and considers himself to be a “father-to-his-men”.

Weapons: PPK12 Gauss Pistol, Ripper.

Armor: Advanced Power Armour Mk I; well-maintained and peppered with insignia, notably two rows of medal ribbons.

Backstory: One of the dwindling old guard, the Sutler family is a, ancient, sprawling dynasty going back to the Thirteen-Colonies and involved in everything from slaves and privateering, to politics and industry and finally the secretive organisation to which the patriarch Alan Sutler finds himself in the employ-of.
Sutler’s been in the Army since the Oil Rig and seen everything life in the Enclave over the past three-decades had to offer. Like so-many, he was orphaned by the destruction of the Oil Rig, he himself saved by his then involvement in “mainland ops” along with his friends and squad-mates Augustus Autumn and Carl Granite.

When the Enclave moved east at the order of Richardson’s successor, John-Henry Eden, Sutler remained behind with the Navarro garrison and years later defended Navarro against the NCR; fighting for almost a full twenty-four hours, eventually Sutler himself ceded defeat and walked alone across the wasteland to the Enclave’s outposts in Illinois for rendezvous.

Navarro preyed on Sutler’s mind for a long time, haunting his nights and waking moments with visions of his dying compatriots; the horrors were suppressed greatly however by his marriage to Lucy Briggs in the 2050’s and the subsequent birth of his son.
Sutler’s rise in the ranks has been stunted, largely by the efforts of his former-friend Autumn which has left him bitter and resentful – Sutler feeling that he’d make a more effective leader than Autumn. Technically under the jurisdiction of the DoD’s Military Intelligence Agency, Sutler serves in Sigma Squad.

Sergeant Dobbs

SATCOM Array NW-05A - 0730 Zulu (2:30am EST)

The Talon Company Merc shivered in the night air as he peered over the top of SATCOM Array NW-05A's dish, looking out over the Wasteland from 150 ft in the air.

Nothing, as usual.

"I cannot believe we're actually working for a [censored] Zombie.", thought the merc sourly. "I guess it's true that Talon Company will take any job for the right amount of caps!". He stepped down to the base of the dish, grabbed the coffeepot from above the small campfire and poured himself another cup, then climbed back up to his post.

Still nothing.

"Only thing out here is Raiders, and after Decker fired a couple missiles at them even they don't come around anymore", thought the bored sentry. "I wish I could get on day shift...at least then I could shoot a Mole Rat or something. Hopefully Bannister will send out a relief team so we can go back…maybe I’ll get assigned to a posting where I can kill someone. Haven't heard from home in two days."

Nineteen thousand feet above SATCOM Array NW-05A

A lone figure in black armor plummeted headfirst towards the earth at 32 feet per second. A more romantic person would have admired the breathtaking view from twenty-thousand feet…a sight that few had seen since the days immediately after the War. A more cautious person would be concerned with the inky blackness of the Capital Wasteland…punctuated by the small pools of light created by the relatively few settlements that had sprung up in and around the Washington DC Metro area…rushing up to greet them. But the figure was neither of those, instead he was watching data scroll across the screens inside his helmet until he found the line he was looking for and selected it.

>walking_after_midnight.mp3

Immediately, the warm, contralto voice of a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee-LxMZ1I8E nearly three hundred years gone filled his helmet.

I go out walking, after midnight
Out in the moonlight
Just like we used to do
I'm always walking, after midnight
Searching for you…

Satisfied music wise, the figure turned his attention to the ground. Increasing the magnification of his helmet’s optics, he noted a light of some kind in the target area. Comparing the location of the light with the area map from his suit’s memory, he saw the light was actually on top of the target itself. He was still too far above to identify what it was, but at maximum magnification he saw flickers that revealed the nature of the light.

"A campfire to mark the target for me." the figure thought as he returned magnification to normal and looked at the watch/altimeter in his wrist, confirming for the fourth time they matched the readouts in his helmet, "How considerate. I will have to thank them when we meet....in nine minutes".

Site R - Briefing Room - 1900 Zulu (2:30 pm CST) - the previous day

"This mission came down from the top, Dobbs.", said the Briefing Officer. "Believe it or not, Command asked for you by name."

"That’s either very, very good….or very, very bad, sir", Dobbs replied. "I guess I’ll find out which it is when I deploy my chute."

“What did you say, Sergeant?”, the Briefing Officer replied archly, his eyes glancing in the direction of the wall to his left then back at him. The meaning was obvious.

“My apologies, sir”, Dobbs said sincerely. “I said I’m honored and humbled by the interest shown in me by my superiors.”

“That’s what I thought you said, Sergeant”, the Briefing Officer said, relaxing a bit. “While aspects of this mission could be considered training, the objectives are anything but…this mission is in response to a “Pinnacle-Empty Quiver” Event.”

Dobbs immediately sat up straight, stunned by what he had just heard.

Theft of functioning nuclear weapons? How is that even possible?

“I thought that would get your attention”, the Briefing Officer said. “This is no exercise….this mission is of highest importance to the National Command Authority. We have temporarily raised your security clearance from TOP SECRET to COSMIC as it directly references this Nation’s residual nuclear deterrent. You were chosen because the Rangers have the unique skillset to pull this off…and your Company Commander recommended you as the best man for the job.”

After a pause, the Briefing Officer continued.

“So, Sergeant”, the Briefing Officer said with a smirk, “If your chute doesn’t open, it isn’t because somebody upstairs hates you.”

The Briefing Officer dimmed the lights, then turned on the holo-projector. A image of a Satellite Relay station appeared.

“This is SATCOM Array NW-05A”, the Briefing Officer said. "A small group of Trespassers have taken up residence in this facility and somehow got it online. Ordinarily, we’d just bide our time until the strategic situation allowed a response. But what those fools are doing is something we cannot ignore.

“They used the station to get control of a automated Orbital Weapons Platform?” Dobbs asked hesitantly, not sure if it was a good idea to even mention it. “Is that what has happened?”

“Exactly, Sergeant”, the Briefing Officer said, slightly surprised Dobbs had figured it out. “That is exactly what happened…very astute of you.”

The Briefing Officer pressed a button on the projector’s control panel and the image changed to a image of a small Orbital Weapons Platform. He then continued.

“This is a Bradley-Hercules Orbital Weapons Platform”, the Officer said. “It is an automated platform that composed part of the United State’s Pre-War nuclear deterrent. Two days ago, the Observatory at Facility Papa picked up one of these stations, platform USDOD-21TXH, maneuvering to change its orbital path. It is now in Geo-synchronous orbit above the Relay. The DIA’s SIGINT boys have confirmed it’s as bad as it gets…that the satellite is responding to signals from the ground and the PALs have been released. We have no idea how they did it, but they can actually release the onboard ordnance.”

“Wastelanders with control of strategic nuclear assets?”, gasped Dobbs. “My God, they’re savages!”

“Yes they are”, the Briefing Officer replied. “And that’s where you come in. If we send in a Verti-Assault or assault the facility with infantry, the Trespassers could release the weapons before they can be dealt with.” He then switched the projector back to the Satellite Relay. But one man…coming from a direction they aren’t expecting…could get in and take control away from them before they even knew what hit them.”

The Briefing Officer took a drink from the water bottle next to him then continued.

“The plan is simple”, he continued. “You will be inserted into the OP area by Vertibird at thirty thousand feet, executing a HALO jump into the target area, the inside of the facility’s dish array. The primary objective is the Satellite Control Terminal in the Dish Access space...here.”, the Briefing Officer pointed at a small room just below the dish. “You will be given a data package to upload, it will sever the Wastelander’s control link to USDOD-21TXH, and enable the Crawler at Adams to assume control over it. Once the Primary objective is completed, the Secondary Objective is to secure the facility, and recover any useful data.

“And the squatters?”, Dobbs replied without any irony, “Do we need any of them for questioning?”

“No”, the Briefing Officer replied. “The President has made a finding that the criminals in SATCOM Array NW-05A are a Clear and Present Danger to the Enclave of the United States. Your orders, in accordance with Executive Order 2277-119, are to terminate everyone in the facility with extreme prejudice in the interest of National Security.”

“Understood. What do we know about the OPFOR?”, asked Dobbs. “What is the estimated threat?”

"A Moderate threat", said the Briefing Officer. "We estimate the force to be five to six individuals. Most will be Talon Company mercs, the one that is not will be their employer….who absolutely must not be allowed to escape alive."

“When do I go?”, asked Dobbs.

“Pre-Mission briefing at 0500 Zulu (11:00pm EST)", the Briefing Officer replied. “Wheels up at 0700 Zulu (2:00 am EST). Go get some sack time, soldier!"

"Sir, yes, Sir!"

SATCOM Array NW-05A - 0739 Zulu (2:39am EST)

Dobbs, his chute now open, glided towards the SATCOM Array. As the Merc standing sentry inside the dish liked to look South for some reason, he had decided to approach from the North. Drifting in, as soon as his feet hit the inside of the dish, Dobbs pulled his silenced 12.7mm and shot the startled Merc twice in the head before he could even turn around enough to see him. Rapidly gathering up his chute, he moved behind the hatch to the Dish Access space below and quickly removed the harness. After about 30 seconds, the hatch opened and another merc climbed up.

"What the [censored], Jimmy?", said the Merc pleadingly as he walked towards his friend, lying away from the hatch. "You drinking again and fell down? Jabsco will have your..."

Two shots into the back of his head from Dobbs's silenced pistol made sure he never ended that sentence.

Dobbs then looked down the hatch, no one was in the Dish Access Space so he dropped his chute inside, then climbed down and closed the hatch behind him. After stashing the chute in a footlocker, he cracked the door to the catwalk outside, and saw no one. He then checked the Satellite Control Terminal. Accessing it, he saw that the launch codes had not been entered. He loaded the holo-disc he had been given by Command, then rebooted the terminal.

“Command, Barracuda”, Dobbs said into his suit radio. “Package delivered.”

“Affirmative, Barracuda”, replied a voice over the comlink. “Wait one…” After a few minutes the voice spoke again.

“Barracuda, Command”, the voice said calmly. “The Prodigal Son has returned home. I repeat, the Prodigal Son has returned home. Proceed to Secondary Objective. Extraction Bird is wheels up, ETA fifteen minutes.”

The Crawler at Adams had control of the weapons platform now, even if the squatters uploaded their codes they would be ignored. The next objective was to tie up the loose ends. After cracking the door to make sure no-one was there, he carefully crept out onto the catwalk that led to the next lower level. As he made his way along the walkway towards the hatch to the main body of the Array, he surprised the sentry on this level, another Talon Company merc. Dobbs put him down with a 12.7mm round in the right ear, the merc crumpled to the deck, never knowing what had hit him. Dobbs disabled the Merc’s Rocket Launcher by removing the MF battery that powered the firing mechanism, then searched the body, finding a ID badge that marked him as "friendly" to the interior defenses. Dobbs took this and clipped it onto his armor. Having verified no one alive was on this level, he then opened the hatch and entered the main part of the Array.

Inside, he found a fourth Talon Merc, this one sleeping in one of the bunks in the access space that led to the hatch outside. After making sure he never woke up, Dobbs cautiously proceeded down the stairs. On the next level, Dobbs found a terminal that controlled the interior defenses. He hacked the terminal and shut the turrets down. From his vantage point, he could see a ghoul...female...furiously typing on a terminal with her back to the stairs. Cautiously sneaking down the stairs, he crept up so close to the ghoul that he could touch it. Dobbs then stood up straight and tapped the ghoul on the shoulder with the silencer of his pistol, then stepped back so the ghoul could stand. "Who the hell are you!", demanded the ghoul as she stood up. "How did you get in here?"

"You are guilty of Trespassing on Federal Property, Theft of War Department Property, and Unlawful Possession of a Mutated Genetic Structure.", said Dobbs coldly as he shot the ghoul twice in the chest then a third time in the forehead. "The sentence is Death."

Once the ghoul crumpled to the ground, he searched the corpse and found the launch codes, then unlocked the door and walked outside, disarming some landmines that had been placed around the door. "Command, this is Barracuda.", said Dobbs over his suit radio. "All Tangos down."

"Affirmative, Barracuda.", radioed Command. "Hold until relieved. Extraction bird is in the air, ETA seven minutes. Good work, Command out."

Dobbs waited for the Extraction Vertibird to bring the clean-up squad assigned to collecting any useful data and making sure there was no repeat of this incident, as well as take him back to Site R. Dobbs was proud of his good night's work. America was just a little bit cleaner.

Site R – Situation Room – 0750 Zulu (2:50am EST)

“Mr President”, the Operations Officer said, “the Extraction Vertibird reports successful extraction of Barracuda, and that cleanup is complete. They are returning to base, ETA ten minutes. Debriefing will be at 0830z (3:30am).”

“Excellent work, Major”, replied President Autumn affably as he continued watching the playback of the footage from Dobbs’s helmet cam on the main screen with interest. “Unlawful Possession of a mutated genetic structure?”, he remarked with amusemant as Dobbs executed the ghoul with the Mozambique Drill. “Is that an actual statue or is he just being a [censored]?” He chuckled then swiveled his chair so he could turn to see the Operations Officer. “Has Alan reported yet?”

“Yes, sir”, said the Operations Officer. “Captain Sutler reports that we have achieved full control of platform USDOD-21TXH, and that the Crawler has handed off control to Rockland, as planned. The platform still has it’s full ordnance loadout, but they are having difficulty with the propulsion system….it was probably damaged by the improper braking maneuvers the Trespassers used.”

“Very well, secure from ‘Empty Quiver’ ”, Autumn said. “As for the propulsion system, that cannot be helped. In any case, at least no one will be able to use that thing against us.” He then looked over at another officer, a powerfully built man standing behind him in the shadows.

“Sergeant Dobbs certainly has the necessary skills, Captain.”, Autumn said. “Do you want him for Sigma Squad? I’m convinced…say the word and I’ll have his transfer orders cut within the hour.”

Lt. Andrew Matthews

(Adams Air Force Base Mobile Crawler: Robotic Engineering Facility- 12:30pm)

“The weapons calibration is still offline Lieutenant, try a total reboot of the neural processor.”

Lt. Andrew Matthews stood next to a fellow officer in a large dimly lit room of the mobile base crawler. Soft blue lights fastened to the walls of the area illuminated the outline of two figures tinkering with a black colored sentry bot.

“Goddamnit, I know what I’m doing Matthews, give me some time here,” the voice of REC officer Lt. Fredrickson replied with a note of frustration as he stepped back from the sentry bot for a moment. Matthews raised raised the brim of his officer hat and chuckled, Fredrickson was his friend and compatriot, but he always had been a stubborn git.

“I’ve been giving you time for the past hour. So when are you going to let me take over?” Matthews said as he crossed his arms.

“When it’s a cold day in hell Matthews, a damn cold day in hell. You know how many of these things I’ve fixed?” Fredikeson opened the back of the sentry bot and squatted down to adjust some of the wires.

“Not enough apparently,” Matthews said with a grin.

Fredrickson peeked out from the side of the sentry bot, his eyes squinting in mock anger, he then slowly disappeared behind the sentry bot again, muttering to himself.

Matthews rolled his eyes and sat back against the table, and stared around the room for a moment. The engineering room was filled by all sorts of robots and robotic equipment and large assembly line extended down the center of the long rectangular room and virtually split it into two sections. The the low hum of mechanical equipment resonated throughout the air. Several other of his fellow REC officers were on the other end of the room using a control panel.

Fredrickson then stood up from behind the sentry bot and approached Matthews in a huff.

“Fine. You take a swing at it. I give up!”

Matthews nodded calmly and took Fredikeson’s former place behind the bot, adjusted wires, circuits, and tinkered with power core. After a few minutes, he reached for a switch on the inside paneling and flicked it upwards. The robot immediately jolted into life.

“INTIALIZING REBOOT…,” it said in a loud mechanical voice, followed by a short pause, “REBOOT SUCCESSFUL.”

Matthews closed the back panel and came around to the front again. He spoke to the robot in a low and authoritative voice.

“Command protocol alpha. Run systems diagnostic.”

The robot responded, moving its arms slightly up and down and adjusting its chasse.

“COMMAND ACCEPTED. CHECKING SYSTEMS: WEAPONS: ONLINE, MOTIVATORS:ONLINE. ALL SYSTEMS NOMINAL.”

Matthews nodded, “Connect to command authority registry, login registration 232424 Adams Joint Air Force Base Mobile Crawler, United States Department of Defense.”

The sentry bot stood silent for a brief moment, clearly processing something.

“AUTHORITY REGISTERED.”

Matthews grinned.

“Initiate shut down.”

The robot moved into a lifeless state, its mini-gun and missile launcher arms drooping to its side.

Matthews turned to Fredrickson with a smile. Fredikeson stared back, squinted and started to walk towards the bot while waving his hand in a dismissing motion.

“Yeah, yeah….all hail Matthews…so on and so on,” Fredrickson said as he grumbled, which was followed by a slightly audible “bastard” as Fredrickson moved to shift the sentry bot back into position.

Fredrickson then turned back to Matthews “now can we get out of here and head up to the mess hall before I’m smothered by that smug look on your face?” Fredrickson quickly strode by Matthews, the sound of his black officer boots marching across the room echoed throughout it.

“After you Lieutenant” Matthews extended his arms in the direction of the door and smiled before following Fredrickson.

(Adams Air-Force Base, Mobile Base Crawler: Control Room: 4:00pm)

“He’s a damn good engineer I’ll say that much,” the voice of Major Jonathan Xavier, head of the Robotic Engineering Core spoke into a radio microphone on one of the many consoles in the room, “he’s the best I could recommend from the REC.” Xavier stood up from a leaning position and stared out the open-bay windows onto the runway of Adams-Air Force Base, which was lined with rows of parked vertibirds.

The voice of Autumn then responded back in his characteristic southern accent.

“What’s his combat experience Major?”

Major Xavier shifted through some papers near him “years of distinguished service in the Tesla Regiments, 4th division. First as private first-class and eventually as a commanding officer. He’s participated in quite a few vertibird assault missions as well.”

“Can you be assured he will contribute well to the ranks of Sigma Squad? I want your personal recommendation major.”

“Yes sir,” Major Xavier said without a moment’s hesitation "he has it."

“Very well Major.”

Wheaton Armory

2:45 am

It was a dark cold airless night as the raiders outside of Wheaton Armory squatted around a campfire while the others guarded there so-called precious base.

"Hahahaha this Jerky meat is good as the raider was biting it off". "Glad that hunter came by and offered us some food, until his untimely DEATH as she laughed while other raiders laughed with her forming a chorus".

Outpost Hotel - 3:30 AM
It was a cold and airless night as 2 Enclave soldiers patrolled the wrecked roads of the Capital Wasteland. Soon one of them see lights and people and they got up closer, took out there binoculars and observed.

"Outpost Zulu as he radio in through his Comm-Link in his helmet".

"Yes what is Patrol 1 as the Officer asked".

"We have multiple contacts on site near Wheaton Armory, south of our position". They number between 10-20 Raiders and maybe more inside".

"Roger that Patrol 1". "We will be sending over troops to take back U.S Military Property". "Head back to Zulu and reinforce our position".

Patrol 1 complies and heads back to Outpost Zulu

Raven Rock - Hanger Bay 3 - A Company, Alpah and Bravo squad, 2nd Vertibird-Assault Team - 5:00 am
It was very bright in Hangar Bay 3 as the soldiers of A Company got on board there Vertibirds. One by one they entered as they were ready and to take back U.S Military Property. The Vertibirds started to rotate and Air Traffic Control chimed in.

"This Air Traffic Control speaking to 2nd Vertibird-Assault Team. "Fuel is full, Guns are ready and Hangar Bay doors are open". "You are ready to take off one by one".

"Roger that, this is Vertibird 1 of the 2nd Vertibird-Assault Team taking off".

Vertibird 1 takes off, and the rest follow.

The Vertibirds are in flight and Captain Decker chimes in to all 3.

"Ok this is our mission men". Patrol 1 from Outpost Zulu reported that Wheaton Armory is under control from Cannibalistic Raiders and have desecrated his place and honor. They trespassed U.S Military Property. "Leave no survivors".

They were approaching the Armory as the pilots saw.

"Ok I see about 20 tangos on my visuals here". "Going in for a strafing run".

The Vertibird went fired its AP rounds as the raiders saw from the sky, fear went through as they were firing on the Vertibird". "The raiders started to run everywhere as the bullets hit there comrades". "Soon, they disembark the troops and a slim figure in a Reinforced Enclave Scientist Suit disembarks and shoots the 2 raiders cowering with her Wattz 2000 Laser Rifle". "The soldiers disembark as the bullets from the raiders bounced off there armor. She takes cover, killing the other raiders with guns, helping the Company enter into Wheaton Armory.

"I will stay here guys, I need to take some samples".

"She takes out her Needler Pistol and shoots the dead raiders as the blood collect from its Needles". "She immediately starts doing it to the other dead bodies". "She then sees 3 badly injured raiders with melee weapons who surrounded her".

"Hey look at this". A Lone Scientist without her little buddies". "Your going to DIE".

The raiders charge at her, but she does not flinch as she takes out a long bladed sword, a Wakizashi. She goes into a Samurai stance parrying there weapons stabbing the first raider in the heart. She then turns to see two other raiders charging at her with 2 knives. "She aims the Wakizashi low and cuts off there legs". The raiders scream in pain as there weapons lie on the floor and takes out her Neddler Pistol and aims at them until speaking to them.

"You Trespassed on U.S Property Wastelanders for this, I have a special present for you".

She fires a Needler Shot into the 2 raiders.

"The injection I just gave you is Kyriaki". "Your bodies will now feel a sense of pain, as the mini parasites go through your body, cutting your organs in a slow painful death as she smirked in evil".

She takes her Wakizashi and cuts there arms, to experience suffering as they die.

"Have fun raiders". "Die a slow death".

She walks to the Wheaton Entrance as the gunfire stopped. She hears them in pain, writhing and crying. She is amused. She sees her squad, casually walking as if it was nothing. Officer Williams addresses them.

"Good job men"."This is what happens when raiders desecrate Military property in a proud voice". "3rd Battalion and the 1st Engineering Company going to be here in 5 minutes to occupy this place and rebuild it. "You have done well men". "Hail America"

The squad follows and Officer Williams approach Jennifer.

"You have been doing well Warrant Officer Tercorien".

They both leave together and enter the Vertibirds, flying off with there squad.

Raven Rock Science Labs - Level 7 - 12:45 PM

Jennifer was sitting down in her lab coat, in personal lab within Level 7, which was the Research Labs. The lab was huge busy filled with scientific equipment as the researchers were doing work. She opens her window to see 5 Biologist dissecting a Super Mutants, Ghoul, and a Centaur. She heads back to her table and starts to anolyze the blood samples from the dead raiders body. She puts all of them in the middle of a Quadro-anolyzer and starts anolyzing the blood samples. She observes the Quadro-anolyzer, seeing there DNA, switching to the others and writing them down in her lab report. She remarks.

"Interesting, so many mutations from these mainlands, they should not be even consider human". "Low Eyesight, Inter-cranial Pressure off the Charts, 5 toes, so many mutations".

She then grabs the blood samples and exits out of her personal lab and heads to the computers on the other side.

"Doctor Watts, here are those blood samples you requested". "Your work on the Wasteland Mapping Genome Project will be crucial to the Enclave".

"Oh thank you Doctor Tercorien". "I should be thanking you, since your the only Scientist with the most combat experience out of all of us to get these samples".

"Well its to bad Autumn wont make this project official. "He think its useless and a waste of time.....ugh".

"Well it is cousin, it will help many generations to realize the horrors of mutants".

Watts grabs the blood samples from Tercorien and puts them into a anolyzer and starts to put the info into the computer. Jennifer waves goodbye as she exits out of the Research Labs and heads for the elevator, going to Deck 10, where the Tercorien/Kuskov/Harano residence is located, her family.

Raven Rock Control Room - Level 3 - 2:00 PM.
"Warrant Officer Tercorien is of exceptional performance. "She has fought in many battles and assaults while she was with the 1st Infantry Regiment, in the voice of Major Decker Kuskov II as he talked in front of Colonel Autumn in a mixed Russian-American voice". She shows no remorse to our enemies and is a exceptional Medic who saved many lives". "I am not saying this just because she is my niece but as a Officer who was astonished". "When she first joined with us, I though she was going to perform horribly but my judgement has been wrong". "She became Corporal in a week and now a Warrant Officer".

Major Kuskov hands the papers to Colonel Autumn

In Colonel Autumns southern accent, he speaks.

"It says here she tortures her enemies while in battle and has also gone against the directives of Officers, usually involving with bringing specimens to study".

"That is one problem Colonel". "The Harano's, partucularly there scientists have been always like this". "Though, I have full faith in her and will be worthwhile to Sigma.

"Ok Major, i want your personal recommendation".

Major Kuskov gives a salute and leaves the room

Cpt. Zachary Davis - Raven Rock - Early Morning ( around 2:00am )

The Captain sat in his personal office, leafing through a select few documents from his collection. He held in his hands dossiers of possible recruits for the elite squad he was now in-command of designated Sigma. Some of their faces were familiar, some were quite famous but he'd never served with any of them. Davis eyed them with scrutiny, he wanted to know every thing he could find out beforehand. He was certainly impressed by some of their accomplishments. The train of thought Davis had going was derailed when a message echoed over the comm-link he has on his desk.

" Captain? " Questioned the monotone voice.

Davis thumbed a button and spoke into the mic, " Yes, I'm here. What is it? "

" The President would like to speak to you immediately. "

" Okay, tell him I'll be there ASAP, " came the Captain's voice.

He released the button and stood from his chair. The man was aware of his friend's impatience and quickly moved out of his office. A slam sounded as Davis hurried down the corridor to the President's office, he loaded onto the elevator and took it to the appropriate level. Soon, the Captain arrived inside Autumn's office. Two guards in full Advanced Power Armor Mk. II stood silently at attention, their rifles across their chests. He walked up to the President and saluted, the President's eyes were upon him.

" Hello sir, I came as quickly as possible. You require me? "

Autumn smiled and nodded. " Yes I do Captain, you remember the squad that's being worked on? Well I contacted some commanding officers and told them to send word of any skilled individuals... they have. "

Davis was surprised at that, but he was excited to command such men. The best of the best. " This is great sir, does this mean we're ready? "

" Not quite Captain, I want you to choose your squad. This team will consist of 9 men and women, choose them carefully. "

" I'd like to see some of the candidates, sir. "

Autumn summoned a man the two spoke of a mission that was familiar to Davis. A screen flickered to life and President commented on the video. They mentioned a Sergeant Dobbs while the screen showed footage from his last mission. The Captain remained quiet and withdrew into the shadows of the dark room until Autumn addressed him again.

“Sergeant Dobbs certainly has the necessary skills, Captain.”, Autumn said. “Do you want him for Sigma Squad? I’m convinced…say the word and I’ll have his transfer orders cut within the hour.”

" Yes sir, I think he'll do nicely. Those orders can be sent. "

Autumn had another man ordered to hurry to the room, he was of considerable rank by his uniform. He spoke to the President about another recruit for Sigma Squad. Eventually he was dismissed, Davis wanted the soldier among his men.

" What do you think, Captain? Does that girl sound useful to you? She may be hard to handle. " Autumn questioned to the Captain, who decided to stay in the shadows.

" I'll take her, don't worry sir, I'll snap her into shape. "

Raven Rock Political Residency Area - 2:05 PM
Jennifer exited out of the elevator and stepped, to the Political Residents Area. It was a straight line as she walked, seeing smaller political families and there names on there doors. She makes a left and sees 10 large doors. Sutler, Bisley, Decker, Hannity, Stent, Denton, Jensen, Roe, Martinez and finally on the far left of her Tercorien/Kuskov/Harano. She enters in, seeing 20 of her family members in a large living room/kitchen with 10 doors.

The Political Families of the Enclave were treated well. The smaller ones had medium sized condos, and had the best amenities. The Big 10 had huge rooms, bot the same with 10 rooms, numbering 50 to 100. The Martinez's were the smalles, 60. Each Political Family had there room customized in there own way, and can ask for special equipment to accomdate there Mansions. Each had a TV which can play pre war movies, Computers, MP3 players, Video Games, Auto Docs, and a large screen for Genealogy Tree, configurable by a computer. The Tercorien/Kuskov/Harano had the largest. On the screen, showed three groups. Kuskov, on the left, Tercorien on the Top, and Harano on the left. In the middle and below shows the combination of families spanning many generations. There were pictures of the person and history of the particular person. If you touch a portrait, you can see a full history. There were others that had no pictures but had names and were old, dating back to the 1800's. The living room had a mix of Russian, Japanese, and American. On the left, you can see the influence of Russia, with portraits of Lenin, Russia, MIlitary, Kuskov family picture a large Vodka Refridgerator etc. On the right, there was Japanese Influence. Samurai, Japan, Harano family picture, Anime a Sake Refridgerator etc. To North, you see American Influence. The U.S Flag on top, President Washington, Tercorien Family picture, a large Beer Refridgerator etc. But most of all that was astonishing was a large family picture of the 3 families together, including there extended families. During the Resources War, Japan, Russia, and the U.S had friendly relations, because of the Tercorien/Kuskov/Harano. Japan was able to defend itself from a Chinese Invasion on 2250 and contributed to the U.S Research. Russia gave info on the Chinese to the U.S when the Sino-American War started as China was invading Russia Siberia.

"Hello there Jennifer as her sister approachs her in APA MK2". "Any interesting Torture stories to tell us"?

"Well Mary, at 5:00 AM this morning, we took over the Wheaton Armory from raiders. "Needless to say, I used the Kyriaki on the armless, legless raiders and watched them scream in pain, and die slowly..........or probably get eaten by Ferals or Vultures". "Anyway though, what are you guys doing".

"Not Bad, Not Bad but I dissected a live human before you entered the EAA". "That was my favorite moment of my life". We are watching Missing in Action, the move that Scarlet Vera and Jason Roth are in".

"Oh my favorite movie, I have a 3 hour break so I can watch".

Jennifer sits down with her sister Mary along with her other family members. They were in Lab Coats, APA MK2, Suits and civillian clothing. The Kuskovs partcualr wore Russian Clothing on some days which always came down to a arguemnt with there other neighbors.

All Political Families had flaws and small problems but unlike the this family they had three.

The Kuskovs are respected as they hepl form Soldiers and Officers, but mainly drink alot of Vodka making them rowdy. The Harano's are know as great researchers but also cold, evil, sadistic and rebellious to there superiors. Lastly the Tercoriens are the most fine out of the combined family but support Autumn and his plan, which puts them at odds with the other families.

Tyler (Ty) James Nakamura: {One week ago – 1900 hours} Approaching a raider occupied strip mall

The Wasteland wind howled and threw up a screen of dust, masking the five metal-clad men from sight. The only evidence of their passing was a trail of raider corpses, and that evidence was mostly incinerated, resembling the dirt more than any human. Five men, thirty corpses, and those were just the ones that were unlucky enough to cross their path. The intended target was a strip mall overrun with degenerates similar to the ones they had already mowed down.

Ty finally saw the building they were headed for, and clutched his Multiplas Rifle tighter, knowing the ‘sub-humans’ inside would be more plentiful and likely more organized than the rabble they had encountered on the journey. He looked to his CO, “Captain, permission to speak?”

“Permission granted, Staff Sergeant,” said a towering man in Enclave Hellfire Power Armor.

“Our primary objective is to wipe out the riff-raff that turned this place into their own private hell, correct? What are the mission parameters regarding this? Does command have any compunctions about simply leveling the building, or are we going to head in head first and risk our necks?”

“Command left those parameters to my own discretion,” the Captain raised his Heavy Incinerator for effect and added, “I’d like to finish this without damaging the building too much, as there may be something of value or use still in there, but if we find ourselves overwhelmed we’ll lay some charges and damage key support beams.”

“Sir, yes, sir!” Ty exclaimed, returning his gaze to the quickly approaching building.

{Current day – 0600 hours}

Ty awoke to the sound of knocking, followed by the sound of his name, “Nakamura!” The pounding on his door continued, and he shifted in his bed to look at his alarm clock. Five fifty-nine, then an intense ringing added to the cacophony of noise as the time changed to six o clock, ’Bastards, you can’t even wait a single minute for my alarm to go off?’ He got out of bed unceremoniously, and then strolled over to answer the door wearing only a pair of black boxer-briefs. The man he was now facing was of a much higher rank than him, being a Warrant Officer, and so Ty was forced to put on a polite air while dealing with the man, “How may I be of service, sir?”

“I’ve been asked to notify you that you are not to report to your usual duties this morning, and are instead asked to wait here until further notice,” the officer responded in a practiced manner.

“What, may I ask, is the cause of this?” Ty asked.

“A request for your transfer has been placed and is currently pending,” the officer stated in a matter of fact manner.

Ty was thrown for a loop. Considering the mortality rate of his last mission however, it was to be expected. He’d probably be sent out to the ass end of the wastes to serve with a bunch of [censored] ups no better than the mutants the Enclave sought to eradicate. Ty gave a great sigh as he looked at the officer, and spoke in a monotone voice, “Thank you for the message, sir, have yourself a damn fine day," Upon shutting the door however, Ty wondered, 'Why send an officer to deliver a message?'

Andrew Matthews

(Adams Air Force Base: Mobile Base Crawler- 5:00pm)

Matthews’s footsteps echoed down one of the many metal-lined hallways of the Mobile Base Crawler as he made his way towards the office of his superior, Major Xavier. His mind raced with thoughts of why he had been summoned via PA to Xaviers office not but a few moments ago.

What would Xavier want with me now? Especially on off-duty hours….is this some sort of reprimanding?

The anxiety built inside of Matthews at the thought of this, it was after all, unusual for the Major to request anyone’s presence personally at his office.

Surely not…no…it must be something else. But what? What could it possibly be?

He pondered the question for some time but ultimately came to the understanding that whatever it was, it had a high priority about it. However, rather than think any more on something that he was simply not going to have the answer to, Matthews decided it best to turn his attention elsewhere.

As he walked, he glanced at various rooms of the Crawler that he passed. The medical bay, a bathroom, dormitories filled with beds and dressed-down Enclave troopers, and a few closed doors as well.

Finally, he saw a glowing blue sign up ahead which hung from the ceiling. In bold lettering, it read “ADMINISTRATION.” The arrow pointing to a hallway to the right.

“Well, here we go,” Matthews muttered under his breath.

As he took the right down the administration hall and began to wall along it, he passed by various different rooms, each with a small nameplate on the wall next to the door which gave the rank, department, and title of the individual who’s office it was. Just about all of them were closed aside from one a few doors down. As Matthews approached the open room, he could clearly read its plate:

-MAJOR JONATHAN XAVIER-
-ROBOTICS ENGINEERING CORE: ENCLAVE OF THE UNITED STATES-
-DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE-

Matthews paused briefly to calm himself and adjust his officer uniform and hat before entering the room. Major Xavier was seated at his desk and appeared to be reading some sort of document.

Matthews snapped to attention and held a salute

“Lt. Andrew Matthews sir, you requested my presence?”

Xavier set the document down and nodded,

“At ease officer. Go ahead and have a seat Matthews, I’d like to have a word with you.”

Matthews quickly grabbed an old green cushioned officer chair which was located nearby and sat down in it. Folding his hands in front of him, he looked at the Major with an air of apprehension.

“I suppose you are wondering what this is all about?” Xavier asked.

“Yes sir. I am,” Matthews replied, shifting uneasily in his seat.

“Well I’ll get right down to it Lieutenant,” Xavier then picked up a manila folder he had on his desk and began leafing through it. “I assume you’ve heard of Sigma Squad?”

Matthews raised an eyebrow in confusion before replying “that’s the Special Operations Department is it not?”

“Quite right Matthews, and it just so happens…,” Xavier paused to pull out a document from the manila folder and laid it on the desk in front of Matthews, “…that you’ve been chosen to be a part of one of their squads.

Matthews was taken aback for a moment and picked up the document, it was a letter of recommendation from Major Xavier detailing his work in the REC in extensive detail. It was addressed to a "Captain Zachary Davis.”

“Me sir?”

“Yes you Lieutenant.”

As he set the letter back down on the table, Matthews was incredibly perplexed.

“What do they want with an REC Officer? I’m not Special Operations trained.”

Xavier chuckled, “Well according to them you are Lieutenant. The squad leader put in a request for one of our best REC engineers. Didn’t take me long to figure out who that should be,” Xavier leaned in towards Matthews and clasped his hands together on his desk in front of him, “now if you are wondering why they would want an REC officer. I would think that would be rather obvious. An individual with an expertise in robotics would be an extremely useful asset by any account.”

Xavier paused to sit back in his chair before continuing.

“Now I have to tell you that you haven’t been officially accepted into the squad yet. We are still waiting from the approval of the squad leader, but you are the only one I’ve recommended, and I gave you a glowing review If you don't mind me saying. I sent a copy of that letter you are holding along with your military record to Raven Rock this afternoon, so I'd say you are virtually guaranteed the spot. The acceptance is just a formality at this point. You’ll still be considered a part of the REC of course. Nothing changes with regards to that.”

Matthews could feel the excitement growing in him. It was hardly believable what an opportunity this was.

Sigma Squad? That’s quite the honor. They’re the best of the best. The elite of the Enclave.

“Thank you sir…I…I don’t know what to say.”

The Major shook his head, “no need to say anything Lieutenant. Just represent the Core well within their ranks. Although of your capability of doing that I have no doubt.”

Matthews nodded, “I will sir, but if I may ask, is there any confirmation on who my fellow squad members will be?”

“Nothing as of yet, although I’ve heard rumors that someone from the office of Military Intelligence may have been recommended. No names unfortunately. You’ll have to find that out when you meet them yourself.”

Xavier then stood up and Matthews did as well, “Make us proud Lieutenant, dismissed,” he said as Matthews and himself exchanged salutes.

After dropping his hand from his salute, Matthews turned and walked briskly out the door and started heading down the hallway again. A beaming smile planted on his face.

In the back of his mind though, he knew that this was no easy appointment. It would require dedication and discipline.

Both of them he was ready to give.

Sergeant Dobbs

Site R – EM Club – 0815 CST

“So you’re a ‘Combat Parachutist’ now, are you Bob?”, Vicky said as she placed the scotch on the rocks Dobbs had ordered in front of him, “I bet the rest of your Battalion is green with jealously right about now.”

The EM Club’s bar was quiet, as normal for the early morning. Most personnel on the Dogwatch turned in after their watch ended, rather than drink. Normally, Dobbs would be finishing up breakfast at this time of day, but after morning muster the Old Man had told him to take the day off. Having woke at 2200 last night to go on the mission, he wasn’t tired so in search of something to do, he decided to have a drink. As the woman tending bar was rather attractive, he decided to stay a while.

“I wouldn’t bet against you on that, darling…thanks”, Dobbs said, picking up his maroon beret, which was sitting on the bar next to him. He gently ran his thumb along the Senior Combat Parachutist Badge…the first authorized in nearly forty years…pinned to the flash on the beret above his sergeant’s chevrons. The single bronze star through the center of the blackened silver badge was the only difference from the Senior Parachutist Badge that had been there yesterday. It was a difference so subtle few not looking for it would even notice, but to the people that mattered to Dobbs….his comrades in the Airborne Battalion and the wider Special Operations Community…it spoke volumes. The Old Man told him after the ceremony that it had been the President’s idea to classify PRODIGAL SON as a official combat operation of the Battalion. As he had been the only one out the door, he and he alone had qualified as having participated in a Combat Drop, the Combined Forces’ first since the bitter rearguard action against the NCR. The pride and envy on the faces of his Comrades as the Old Man pinned the new badge on him at morning muster was priceless. For his part, Dobbs was impressed that Autumn paid attention to such things. To Dobbs, it was even better than a medal…especially as in his opinion it didn’t rate a medal to begin with.

Jumping from thirty-thousand feet, opening at fifteen hundred then landing inside a one hundred foot wide satellite dish fifty yards in the air was certainly a test of my abilities, but doing it doesn’t qualify as being “above and beyond the call of duty”. Having done it, I know now that any of the HALO qualified troopers could have done with with a good chance of success.

And Dobbs knew that change was on the wind…ever since President Eden had died and President Autumn was Inaugurated by authority of the Continuity of Government Act, the operational tempo had picked up. The war that he had spent half of his life training for was nigh, he could feel it.

He put the beret down again and picked up the drink, sipping at it while watching a episode of the Robco Variety Show…a rerun from 2072, of course…on the TV above the bar. Even though he had seen this episode at least fifty times, it was still one of his favorites as Dean Domino was in it…promoting what turned out to be the best selling album of his career, ‘That’s Amore’. Just as the best part of the show…where Dean began hitting shamelessly on fellow guest Vera Keyes while pretending not to…Dobbs heard a voice behind him.

“Dobbs!”, exclaimed Zalinsky, the Company Sergeant-Major, “There you are! We’ve been looking everywhere for you…is your pager on?”

“You’ll have to ask the LT that question”, Dobbs replied dryly, “He took the damn thing away from me this morning right before he told me he didn’t want to see me again until the party.”

“Well, things have changed”, Zalinsky said, ignoring the sarcasm, “You need to get back to the barracks now…both the Captain and the Old Man want to see you ASAP.”

Bob put down his drink and turned to face the older man.

“Any idea what it’s about?”, asked Dobbs. He doubted it was bad, whatever it was, but something is obviously up and he hated being in the dark.

“You’re getting transferred”, replied Zalinsky. “Whatever you did last night got somebody’s attention…they’re sending you to a new unit that’s being formed.”

“What kind of unit”, Dobbs asked.

“I don’t know”, Zalinsky said sincerely. “I’ve been working my connections all morning to try and find out, but I haven’t found [censored].” Zalinsky winked and grinned. “I think you’re moving up to the Big-Time….try not to forget us mere mortals once you're up there on Mount Olympus.”

Dobbs sighed, putting down his drink and picking up his beret and putting it back on, then turning back to Vicky.

“Duty calls, hon”, Dobbs said sadly as he got up off the barstool. “And I had thought up such a good story to tell you about my mission, too.”

Raven Rock Administration - Level 4 - 4:05
Jennifer walked down the halls of Level 4. There were many large doors with nameplates of each regiments. She was called in by the 1st Infantry Regiment, five minutes ago by the intercom, installed in every Enclave deck level. She made a left and arrived to a large door with a nameplate on the door, "1st Infantry Regiment", Superbiam Enclave armis which translated to "The pride of the Enclave Armed Forces". She entered the door, to see her Uncle Major Kuskov. Major Jack Williams of the 2nd Vertibird Assault Team and Professor Alice Roberts, head of the Raven Rock Science Labs all sitting down in 3 chairs, and 1 chair on the other side.

"Warrant Officer Jennifer Tercorien Grade 1 reporting in Sir and Doctor Roberts as she salutes".

"Take a seat Warrant Officer Tercorien, all three of us have much to discuss as Major Kuskov clasps his hands together".

Jennifer was nervous, as the way she saw all three of her superiors, quiet, and staring at her. She felt nervous and squirmed in her chair a bit.

"Now lets get down to business Officer Tercorien, we have much to discuss as Major Williams as he opens his binder and grabs out a folder". "You know of the ESFC right Officer"?

"Yes I do Sir, the Enclave Special Forces Command". "What do they want with me"?

Major Kuskovs leans foward.

"Hehehe What they want you"? "Me and Major Williams sent in letters of recommendation to Captain Zachary Davis of Sigma Squad". "I invited Doctor Roberts here to see the moment".

Jennifer relaxed a bit as it was nothing serious but was excited and happy but kept it in to act professional.

"They want me to be part of Sigma Sir, that a honor but why do they need a Scientist/Medic".

Kuskov talks.

"Well its simple". "You are one the most combat hardened Medics/Scientist". "Your practically the only one that has survived 50 missions". "You will be no longer part of the 1st Infantry Regiment but will still be part of the ESC (Enclave Science Crops) and will be transferred to the ESFC.......if you get accepted. "Despite though all 3 of us have faith in you. "Your one of the first persons from the 1st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Vertibird Assault Team and Enclave Science Corps to be accepted". "We are so proud of you".

Roberts leans forward.

"Practically every Scientist in the ESC is proud and I have officially gave all of them a day off tomorrow and including you".

Jennifer was happy.

"Sigma Squad, aka "The Unit", Captain Zachary Davis". "Are there other candidates".

Kuskovs leans back

"Yes there are". "I hear rumors of a man from the Office of Military Intelligence (OMI) and another from the REC, Tesla Regiments". "You will find out about them when you meet them".

William leans forward to her.

"Make all the three of us proud". "Show them the fierceness of the Vertibird Assault Corps (VAT).

"The honor and pride of the 1st Infantry Regiment as Kuskov speaks with honor".

"And the Science Corps, as we are the ones that bring the Enclave closer to victory against our enemies through the wonders of Science as Roberts also speaks of pride".

Jennifer gets up and [censored]es all 3 and leaves the room. As she is walking down, gives a smile.

"And now, the Combined Family now has officially seven in the ESFC". "I will be the pride of Sigma, out performing all of those as she gives a smirk of arrogance and pride".

LT. Juliet Whittaker –Hilltop Outpost

The sun had barely risen above the eastern horizon; it was already sweltering out as Juliet wiped the sweat from her brow with the back of her hand. She was assigned to the Hilltop Outpost for failure to adhere to instructions on the Minefield mission to eradicate the pesky old sniper. She was put in charge of a group of four new soldiers; the highest ranking soldier in the group was a Private E-3. It was supposed to be a live field exercise, but her bravo got the better of her.

Minefield –Three weeks ago

Juliet crept up behind the relatively untouched houses, she could hear the sniper popping off shots at the Privates that she was ordered to bring along. Though she asked to do the mission solo, her commanding officer wanted to utilize this opportunity as a live field exercise for the Privates, as they were still wet behind the ears in actual live field activities. Make me bring along these morons, they don't even deserve to be in my presence. Thought Juliet as she turned off her comlink in disgust of the unnecessary pvssyr.

Private Pearson, the newest recruit, was running across the street towards Juliet, and the sniper took a crack at him, missing Private Pearson but his .308 round ricocheted off of a rock. The stray bullet scraqed the side of Juliet's Tesla Armor, scratching her new paint on her leg, she growled to herself. Juliet straight armed the Private against the wall, "Way to be stealthy, I'll personally see to it that you never become more than an infantryman."

"Yes Sirrr...a.Ma'am, but to my defen..." She shoved Private Pearson against the side of the house, stopping his words.

Juliet clenched her teeth inside her helmet, she reactivated her comlink, "I will handle this, watch and learn boys. Hold your positions, that's an order."

Juliet smacked the side of Pearson's helmet then shook her finger at him. She pulled her SCXM2077ESR from her shoulder, "Command come in over."

"Red Velvet, this is Command over," the words emanated from the comlink's speakers.

"Command, I have ordered my Privates to hold their positions. I will engage the hostile Tango over."

"Negative Red Velvet,” Juliet flipped off her comlink again and chose to engage the hostile as she had originally wanted, solo. She flipped the safety on her rifle and plasma pistol before activating her stealth boy. Juliet made her way right up the middle of the street; she could see the Tango peeking out of the upper floor windows to see where the intruders were. She knew full well that she could take the Tango down with almost zero effort from this range, but this piece of wasteland trash had managed to scratch the fresh camo paintjob on her armor and she was pissed.

Juliet danced around the landmines scattered throughout the rubble of the building's lower floor. She paused and listened, getting a good idea of the Tango's position from the stairs leading up. Juliet ascended the stairs, her rifle aimed and ready. The rifle was devastating from a massive distance; in close combat it would mutilate her target.

Juliet watched and grinned as the old sniper was occupied taking shots at her squad. The stealth boy wore off, she raised her rifle and shot the man's left leg, blowing if off at the knee. The force caused the man to drop his .308 rifle out of the window; he rolled to see who had just shot him. His words were both painful and rushed, coming out more like gibberish than anything else.

"BOO!!!" Juliet mocked, she looked down at the mattress she was near, a baseball bat was on the floor next to it and she carefully leaned her rifle in the corner and picked up the bat. Juliet unlatched her helmet, removing it and sitting it on the floor as opposed to the filthy mattress.

"You filthy, inbred, sub-human pile of [censored]." She started walking over to the man, thumping the bat against her left hand, "you scratched the leg of my armor because you cannot shoot for [censored]..." She shrugged, "so I took yours." She leaped forward and smashed the man's rib cage with the bat, he howled out in pain.

"I'm going to beat you until you pop like a pimple on a teenager’s ass," she swung again, this time smashing out the man's front teeth. He tried to wiggle away, and she began to relentlessly beating his right leg. He grabbed a piece of broken concrete and threw it at her, Juliet stepped back, unholstering her plasma pistol and shot the man's right knee three times until it was severed from his body.

"Well, I feel better, tell you what," she put her foot on his hand and pressed. The added weight of the Tesla armor was too much for his old bones, the cracking of them breaking from the pressure made her smile, "if you can crawl out of here, I'll allow you live."

The four other squad members rushed up, stopping at the top of the stairs when they saw the carnage. The wounded man had stopped talking; he looked around with eyes the size of a plate. He tried to crawl to the stairs, but kept falling and whining from the pain. Juliet stood stone faced, "Private Pearson, execute this man.”

Private Pearson gripped his laser rifle, the barrel wasn’t steady. Juliet stomped over by the nervous Private, “Execute this waste of life, that’s an order!!!”

Private Pearson raised his rifle and took aim directly at the man’s head, the barrel swayed. Juliet leaned next to Pearson’s helmet, “you’re more nervous than Preacher’s son in a [censored]house.” She whipped her plasma pistol around and shot the man dead with absolutely no hesitation. “You must not hesitate.”

She gathered her gear, pulling her helmet on and turned on the comlink, “Command come in…Tango down.” Captain Richmond was livid as his screams pierced Juliet’s ears for a minute, “Our extraction unit will be arriving soon, ETA twenty minutes.”

Hilltop Outpost

Juliet hated the seclusion, the lack of activity and the fact that she was disciplined by Captain Richmond even after a successful mission. She liked to run in the mornings, doing other exercises once she had returned back to base. With the lack of suitable equipment at Hilltop, Juliet would jog twice her normal distance in order to maintain her physique and stamina. She had nearly reached the outpost when she came around a rock and froze in her tracks. Her fingers twitched on the back of her plasma pistol as she looked at the caravan owner staring at her with the same amount of surprise.

“Well hello there young lady,” the caravaner called, “I’m Timothy McBain, I ain’t gonna hurtcha.” He then whispered something over his shoulder and two children popped out from under the canvas on the wagon. Juliet said nothing, but she slowly walked over towards Timothy. “You look like you could use a drink young lady,” he leaned with his ear to her, “what did ya say your name was?”

“I didn’t,” Juliet returned flatly, her face soured with disgust. Then she noticed a blue hue coming from one of Timothy’s crates, “what’s that?”

“Oh, that there is a Nuka Cola Quantum,” Timothy plucked the glowing bottle from his crate.

“I want it.”

Well hold there a second sweetheart, this here’s a special soda. It’s kinda rare in these parts.”

“Give it to me…now

“Tell me yer name and forty five caps, and it’s yours.” Timothy smiled pleasantly at Juliet. His kids were watching.

“This is a restricted area; you are trespassing in Enclave territory.” Juliet said boldly.

Timothy laughed heartedly, bending over in an attempt to stifle it, “You’ve lost your mind, the Enclave own nothing around here, you’re just tryin’ to freak me out so I give you the soda.”

Juliet yanked her plasma pistol from her hip and put a green bolt into Timothy’s forehead, his kids screamed and gasped in horror.

“Lieutenant Juliet Marie Whittaker,” She said while pulling the glowing bottle from Timothy’s lifeless hand. “Get out,” she hissed at the two children, a boy and a girl. They climbed out of the wagon holding one another standing next to their dead father sobbing hysterically.

“LT. Whittaker, everything alright here?” called Private MacPhearson.

“Affirmative,” Juliet, “raise your hands and stand over here,” she instructed the children. They did as she said, she holstered her pistol and pulled out a pair of leather gloves and put them on. She kneeled down and patted the kids down, and then she took each by the chin firmly and turned their heads both left and right. “Just what I thought.”

Private MacPhearson had come up next to her, “what’s that LT?”

“More trash that needs to be taken out,” she stood up and looked at MacPhearson while pulling off her gloves. "Let the children fend for themselves, search the contents for anything worthwhile."

MacPhearson nodded and Juliet returned to the outpost. Sergeant Wilkes stood from the portable communication tower and held out the mic to Juliet, “LT. Whittaker, Captain Richmond wants to speak with you.”

Juliet took the mic, “Thanks Sergeant, This is LT. Whittaker.”

“Whittaker, how has your vacation been?” Richmond snickered, Juliet rolled her eyes.

“Excellent Sir.” She had just answered when the thwump of vertibird props could be heard.

“How unfortunate Whittaker.” Richmond paused, “It pains me to break this to you Whittaker, but you have been requested to transfer to Raven Rock.”

“Sir? Raven Rock?”

“Yes, by order of President Autumn, not mine. He requested you personally; I am not happy but must follow the orders of my superior. At least I won’t have you as a pain in my ass anymore Whittaker.”

Juliet had a [censored] eating grin on her face, “My sincerest apologies Sir, but what of my personal belongings?”

“I took the liberty of having two of my men pack them up; they are on the vertibird enroute to the Hilltop. Richmond out.” Captain Richmond was not about to give Juliet the pleasure of knowing about her recruitment for Sigma Squad.

Juliet handed the mic back to Sergeant Wilkes, Private MacPhearson returned. “Been a pleasure boys, but greener pastures have called by order of President Autumn.” The vertibird was nearing; Juliet quickly packed the items she had brought with her to the outpost.

Raven Rock

Juliet took in her new surroundings; she followed the Officer through the corridors of Raven Rock until they came to an office door. “Captain Davis, President Autumn’s recruit is here.” Juliet stood in her fatigues and waited at attention for her new Captain.
