Enclave Thread

Outposts if it's pre/during Fallout 3 and abbandoned/mothballed bunkers if it's during/post FO3. I do think it would be a good way to add some high end items and item plans and add a nice side exploration to the game. Currently we tend to get Vaults to explore but without much result. Now an Enclave bunker with turrets, bots and lots of locks and counter measures could be a nice addition.

There's multiple extermination outposts. Off the top of my head, I can think of one in the Satcom Array facility, one outside Fairfax, one outside Canterbury, and one not far from Vault 92.

Edit: And one outside Dunwich I believe.

Don't remember what was on the terminals, but there's wastelander bodies in the ditches outside canterbury.

If they aren't a joinable force then I don't care if the Enclave is there or not. I just want my Tesla Armor.

Given that Eden didn't have a body, it would make sense that they might be in Boston if they caught wind of an advanced android that could pass as human. Yes a reassuring voice can command or pacify, but eventually human nature will begin to question why he is never seen. Eden, or maybe a backup personality may have been programmed should Eden malfunction, may seek out an advanced android as a way to further Enclave plans and possibly overthrow the Institute.

We know Enclave are in other areas, and even a small band survived in New Vegas, so with a tighter timeline to the events of Fallout 3 it is perfectly logical to assume Enclave could and even do have a presence in Boston. Yes I would like to see other new factions, but I won't complain if Enclave are included.

Anything left of the Enclave should be just rogue/remnant outposts and ex-members.

They have no real central authority or leadership now.

Rather than bring up a new thread, I thought I would resurrect this one. After completing the mission at Adams Air Force Base and speaking with Lyons, it seems as if BGS has left the door open for the Enclave to make an appearance in future titles. Lyons seems to think that BoS has in fact run Enclave out of DC, but hints that there may be other factions in other parts of the world. All we did in 3 was defeat them in DC. While the defeat was huge, it does not mean there can't be more Enclave in other sections of the country.

Think of the NCR. They are huge in the West, but no presence outside of Reilly in 3. If we killed off Reilly and her Rangers, it would not end the NCR. I think the Enclave will be in Boston, and partnered with the Institute.

I'm with you until that last part. Reilly's Rangers had anything to do with the NCR? What?

As for the rest, I wouldn't be surprised if the Enclave (or part of them) fled to Boston and tried to reestablish themselves there, or integrate into/attempt a takeover of the Institute.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I hope for a less obvious Big Bad in this game.

The Institute seems like it could have cause you could be sympathetic to (given the right chatacter). And the Enclave I wouldn't mind seeing too much if they've changed a bit.

If the institute sides with the enclave then I shall put them all to the torch ;)

She's not? Why did I think they were? I'm going to have to go talk with her when I get home, I have some more locations to download for her anyway.

I for one would welcome Enclave presence. They don't necessarily have to be out to kill everyone this time. Seeing as how they've lost several presidents now, maybe a new leader could've gone for a more passive attitude towards wastelanders. I'd like to see them working on building their own settlement around a vault or some other high-tech ruins. Not letting wastelanders in but not shooting on sight either. Kinda like the Outcasts in FO3 but with some more quests.

I fully expect that the Brotherhood of Steel will at first be presented to us as an evil group attempting to plunder the area for its technology...only later for us to find out that we've been working for the real bad guys the entire time, and that they have strong ties to the Enclave.

this is the only reference about NCR in Fallout 3

Of course, in 2008, no one knew the canon ending for this faction, so it was nice to Bethesda not have played much on the subject.

Well I checked in with Reilly last night to download some locations and while I was there I checked the computers and spoke to the surviving members. You all were right, no NCR ties. Not sure how I came to the conclusion that they were tied to them. Oh well. I still think Enclave being in 4 is a possibility, and one that wouldn't stretch the imagination much if the timeline is as close to 3's as it seems to be.

The Enclave will be found, somewhere, I'm sure. (And if not, I'll be installing mods to add their cool officer uniforms into the game!)
