End Game Content? Anyone else Worried?

Post » Mon Dec 30, 2013 2:56 pm

After seeing many developer interviews and a lot of research(played the beta) I am worried that after reaching level 50 on all factions, there will be no reason to play. I know many players love PvP and will pvp for a long while. The question is for how long though? I may have missed a few things but can someone tell me of end game content such as adding fun quests or maybe the radiant stories like in Skyrim. Will they have dailies? What will encourage players to play for years and not have this MMO die down after a few months.( Please don't think that I am consuming a beverage known as " Haterade") Maybe I'm just not having enough faith in Zenimax. If anyone knows of end game content(not breaking NDA) please tell me <3 Thank you

You are absolutely right to be worried, and it shocks me that more people aren't.

As thigns stand there won't be any reason to play! They are making a story based b2p game, and charging a sub for it! It's dishonest, and deplorable honestly.

Nope, not worried at all yet, they have announced master dungeons and Adventure Zones, I'm sure they will release information on these in the new year, only be worried when we've researched March and heard nothing.

Ignore Solarvoltiac, he's unhappy it's not a clone.

Why don't people understand that criticism is the primary driving force in improvement?

The only thing kissing ass gets you is at best more of the same, and generally far less, as the developer assumes you would be willing to settle for far less.

Saying developers are dishonest and deplorable is feedback? Hilarious, quite a few members of these forums give good feedback, as well as through other means, the fact that you get so hurt because it's a sub only shows you want a F2P game, try again.

It is feedback, because they are being called out on their insufferable greed.

If they charged $200 for the game, wouldn't you say something? I would hope so... It's the same thing!

Actually, I prefer sub based games, but only when that subscription money is being used properly, like in WoW. The subscribers and the developers have an unwritten agreement of what that money is supposed to be used for, and if that agreement isn't met, the subscribers leave! All the recent MMOs that launched sub based did so out of greed, as they improperly used the funding! In SWTOR for example they didn't even fix minor bugs for months, hell the game is still riddled with them!

There has never been a good MMORPG released that launched F2P!

there will be 50+/50++/veteran points/AZ.

Taking false assumption that after release the game will be static and no extensions are planned you can be worrying.

"Will they have dailies?" - perhaps there will be better endgame content then dailies.

getting better gear and skills is 1 thing, professions also need to be maxed and i sure they will be hard to level up. Then you got your pve/pvp end game, ranking rewards etc. I really don't see a reason to worrier about this.

Wrong, this is clearly not the game for you, try Swtor and wow, they cater towards your needs, also they are not charging $200 for the game, it's $60 and 15$ each month.

Doing quests isn't end game! Sorry, but that is limited time content that will run out quick!

btw, once mastered one type (e.g. warrior) someone might start to master another (e.g. healer). Then mixing skills from both will also be endgame element.

I said, "if", and you didn't anwer the question.

Also, you shouldn't assume you know anything abiout other people!

The end game is the most important thing in any MMORPG as you're going to spend a big majority of your playtime playing it. The time it takes to go from lv 1-MAX is a very small percentage of the time you spend playing the game as a hole. So yes I am and every one should be worry about the end game. It would be naive or stupid not to.

Actually you are wrong, you are on a quest to kill a fearsome warlord or a demonic monster. You are on a quest to be a assassins or warlord, and be emperor of tamriel.

In everything there is a story so also a quest for every one.

No, doing daily quests is not end game either. In fact, dailys are closer, because they aren't one time content.

Again, that's sort of like rerolling another character, which isn't end game either.

You are talking about semi-boring [censored] you can do to extend the life of a b2p game.

It's not end game, because after you do it, it's over. It's not even distinguishable from another quest either. If more quests are continually made, which isn't likely, then we might be talking end game.

Technically all game content designed for max level characters are end game...

I would never pay $200 for a box game, $60 for the game then $15 a month I'm more than happy to pay for, it's one of the cheapest forms of entertainment going.
ESO haven't gone into detail about end game yet, they will be in the new year, only start complaining when were in open beta and nothing is there.
The subscription money will be clearly used correctly, using it for the content updates every 4-6 weeks, they don't have a crappy money grabbing company like EA rushing them on, so they can take their time.
For the record, it seems you're into games like wow and swtor, you're probably better off staying with those. ESO won't be like those.

Well, so why you are asking and worrying about if it will have dailies? I just put your words, so it looks you ask for the things that you are not interested in. Why do you ask then?

Just go ahead and tell us what is end-game.

Well most Collectors Editions are around $200 for us europeans now a days as we pay in euro and all game companies think a USD is equal to a euro witch is not the case. I payed close to $200 for my SWTOR CE box even though it was only $150 in USA.
