Recently there has been a influx of dunmer-argonian aggression, i have been doing some careful lore research to finally end this debate. I am a adament dunmer fan, but i tried to be as unbiased as possible and discover which race is the best and could beat all others. I cant believe im going to say this but the REDGUARDS are the best fighting race in all of tamriel not just because of their sword prowess but also because when provoked they are highly organized and fierce. Their ONLY weakness is magic which they distrust.

Many people may dispute this but i will respond with one redguard word RA GADA look it up. If you are new to TES and cant choose which race to pick in Skyrim then pick the Redguards thats why this pertains to skyrim so dont move it moderators. I feel sick to my stomach typing this cause every fiber of my being wants to say dunmer are the best but alas according to lore the Ra Gada are unstoppable.Even in lord of souls it says that the Redguard general was Titus Medes greatest enemy. bliviongate:

Neither dunmer or argonian are the best it is the redguards thats the point also new players should probably choose them.

That's an opinion, and I'm sure new players are more than capable of choosing what's best for themselves.

I believe the debate wasn't "Which is the best race," but rather "Is dunmer better than Argonians?"

Their "only" weakness is their distrust of magic?

Ra Gada is just their original name when they came across the ocean to Hammerfell. It apparently just got mushed up into "Redguard."

..Not really. If you're talking about might in numbers/society, Imperials will always be top dog. If you're talking about a 1 vs 1 fight between two races... Depends on the fighting style. Redguard are really not the "best" race. There is no "best" race. A Redguard couldn't beat every other race simply because he is a Redguard.

Im not ending the dunmer argonian debate but the best race debate. CLEARLY the dunmer are better they have Sword skill, Archer skill, and Destruction magic skill how can you beat that. lol dont turn this into a dunmer argonian war lets just leave that alone for awhile.

Actually the Redguards drove the Nords, Orcs, Altmer, and Bretons out of Hammerfell with ease the beat everyone at least once which is scary.

Saying new players should play as Redguards because they're the best fighters defeats the point of RP games especially games like TES, you dont have to be a warrior-they aren't better or worse than other "classes" its a different playing style. In realistically (yes,yes I know its a game) mages would defeat warriors every time, one on one at least.

/palm. There cannot be a "Better race". They all have certain specialities in different aspects of combat/skills. Comparing races would nearly be impossible. Knock this fact into your skulls.

Sorry but the Redguards beat the Altmer out of Hammerfell so magic failed to beat the Ra Gada. this is not a magic versus sword thread okay.

its clear the tang mo (insane monkey men of akavir) are the best race, every other akavir race has tried to invade them and they still stand strong, even they get invaded (yearly, at least i think its yearly) by the kamal (ice demons of akavir), and they are allied with the ka po'tun (i think)

edit: argonians are better than dunmer, teh argonian's are the most skilled assasins and the trible argonians may well worship sithis like their hist masters (so they love to kill), and without an argonian tribe that betrayed the others the dunmer would never have gotten a single slave
