End of the Empire

Chapter 1

Five Centuries after the Daedra attacks through the Oblivion Gates and after Shivering Isles.

The lands of Cyrodiil were once again in turmoil, but this time with a new threat to the Empire. The new Elder Council along with the New Emperor of Cyrodiil tried to come to an agreement on what should be done about the impending war, that would once again engulf Cyrodiil and possibly the rest of the provinces. After the Champion of Cyrodiil helped defend the Empire against the Daedra, a small island suddenly appeared in Niben Bay. The Champion of Cyrodiil was once again called apon, this time to find out what the mysterious island was, and what the three heads on the island were. The brave Champion of Cyrodiil took to the island as all of Cyrodill "watched", to see what the island was or could bring. As soon as the Champion entered one of the mouth's of the three heads, the small island disapeared into the next night, never to be seen again. The months passed, as everyone in Cyrodill believed that the Champion was lost, and would never be found or would escape what he had entered.

Three years passed, with not one sign from the Champion or the mysterious island. The Elder Council along with the people of Cyrodiil mourned the loss of their heroic Champion, that had saved them from the daedra and the Daedric Prince, Mehrunes Dagon. After years of nothing, the people of Cyrodiil forgot about the Champion, who by this time, was only remembered in childrens stories and legend. The only people who did not forget, were the Elder Council. For the Champion brought great pride to the Council, which was almost destroyed during the war by Mahrunes Dagon.

As centuries passed and the Elder Council, along with their new Emperor proceded to control the Empire. The mysterious island along with several other larger islands, began to pop up every where. The Emperor and the Elder Council demanded from the lords to know what the islands were doing. For days the islands just floated in the waters of Niben Bay and Lake Rumare, until on the seventh day, the mouths of the rock figures opened up, and thousands of tall Dark Seducer's came flooding out. The Emperor and the Elder Council were stunned by the sudden attacks by the Dark Seducers. The Emperor called for the Legions even the Legions in the neigboring provinces, to be assembled. The Elder Council declaired martial law in all the provinces, making each city and settlement, a little fort. But the onslaught of the Dark Seducers, along with strange creatures from the realm, pushed the legions back, forcing them all the way back into Valenwood and Hammerfell. The Emperor was evacuated along with the council, to Skyrim, which helped stem the sudden attacks from the Dark Seducers.

After three years of intense fighting along the borders of Skyrim, Hammerfell and Valenwood, the Dark Seducers slowed their advance to a halt, as they were unable to push any of the three provinces armies back. The Emperor who was unable to create a counter offensive along the Valenwood Front, because of the constant interceptions of messages and orders by the Dark Seducers to Valenwood. The Emperor spoke with the Elder Council along with the surviving lords as they tried to come up with someway of creating a counter offensive against the Dark Seducers.

I like it. Its an interesting story line, for the timeline after the games. Good job, and keep working at it.

honestly im torn, the concept is good but it needs more detail, it all feels kinda like its being recited by a history teacher. Maybe throwin some short stories of people who fought during this new war and it could be gold. Plus it would be nice to see a protagonist and antagonist, why is the COC and newly crowned daedric prince attacking his pervious home? how is it possible? After the blood of Akatosh and mertin where bind, the barriers against the oblivion realms where permanent, meaning no dragonfires where neaded to stop an invasion. Sheogorath only managed to keep his protal their because it was not a threat, it was an invitation.

To answer your question. Even though the barriers to Oblivion were sealed in Cyrodiil, I just decided that they would come from the Shivering Isle's realm. And also, I just could'nt think of a way on how to have the island to the realm come back for any reason, so I just had them pop up every where.

Chapter 2

As the Emperor and the Elder Council spoke of what to do, a boy entered the chamber doors, pursued by two Legionnaire's the boy seemed no older than ten, but the Legionnaire's quickly grabbed him, the boy yelled out to the Emperor, "Pleas M'lord I must speak with you, it is very important...", as the legionnaire's walked off with him, the Emperor stood from his throne, "STOP!", the two Legionnaire's turned around stairing at the Emperor, "Release that boy, he means no harm to this chamber." the legionnaire's released the boy from their grasp. The young boy approached the Emperor kneeling down and bowing his head, "M'lord the devils from those islands have attacked my village with their creatures... I was the only one to get away from the devils", the Emperor stood the boy up, looking at him with compastion, "Boy do not fear, for the men that sit here before you will help retake your village, and the rest of the Empire!", the lords and Elder Council cheered as the Emperor sat at his throne looking at the boy, who had some hope in his eye's.

The boy thanked the Emperor and the men at the table, as he happily walked out of the chamber. The Emperor looked at the men before him with a worried look on his face, "I'am not sure if we can hold the Dark Seducer's any longer, we are cut off from Valenwood, while rumor's spread that Morrowind and Black Marsh have been completely destroyed!", the men all looked at each other with a sorrowed look, when Lord Deitric of Skingrad began to speak, "M'lord, gentalmen of this council, I have been sitting in this chamber for to long. And while we wait for the immpending attack from the Dark Seducers, that could mean our end...", Lord Dietric lowered his head, "I think that since we have no way of contacting Valenwood, we should gather all the remaining Legion's and every able man, woman and child in Skyrim and Hammerfell to arms. We make one last great push against the Dark Seducers, and their Deadric Creatures!", the Emperor sat at his throne thinking of the idea, as the whole table erupted in argument.

Lord Deitric and Lord Wolfscar of Bruma began to agree, while the rest of the Elder Council and lords contiued to argue against the assault. The Emperor sat quietly continuing to think of what to do, when he suddenly stood up, the Elder Council and Lords quieted immediatly as the Emperor spoke, "Lord Deitric, your idea is a fool hardy, irresponcible and rash. But as I see it, we have no other choice, the Dark Seducer's have pushed us to the point, that the Empire may collapse...", Lord Eveline of Kvach interupted, "M'lord you can not risk the lives of the remaining Legions and militia's!", the Emperor looked at the woman, he could tell that she was worried as well as he, but he continued, "Lord Deitric gather your remaining forces, along with the rest of your forces, I shall gather the remaining Legions. We shall attack them from every side, and hopefully we shall get news from Valenwood", the lords and Elder Council knoded, as they knew that the Emperor's word was the last.

The days passed, as the Lords gathered their armies to meet their end. The Emperor and the Elder Council gathered the remaining Legions, some of the Legionnaire's were skeptical of their impending doom, but as usual they followed the orders they were given, and went about their day. As the Lords and Emperor finished gathering their force's for the battle. A messanger rushed to a guard, showing him the letter. The Emperor looked to the messanger, "What is it you have for me, hopefully a message from Valenwood!", the messanger shook his head, as he kneeled down before the Emperor, "No M'lord, it is a message from Summerset Isle!", the messanger stood up handing the message to the Emperor, "M'lord its about three months old I'am sad to say".

"Emperor Agustine, we are in need of assistance, we may not be able to hold out against the plight of the Dark Seducer's. This is Lord Malikai Dersev of the Summerset Isle's", the Emperor dropped the letter to the ground, as the on looking lords waited for some sort of reaction, "Today my friends, we are not just retaking our land, but we are taking back our freedom!", the lords and legionnaire's around him cheered, as they moved out to take back what was their's.

Back in the Imperial City, a cloaked figure sat apon a throne in the only light coming from the ceiling, the figure twiddling his fingers on the arm rests, as a Dark Seducer rushes into the throne room. The cloaked figure look's up at the Dark Seducer who hands the figure a old beaten letter, "M'lord this is from Skyrim", the figure looked at the Dark Seducer, and quickly grabbed the letter from her hand.

"M'lord, Emperor Agustine and his remaining Legion's have begun to move from Skyrim towards Bruma, along with the Legions in Hammerfell who are moving to Chorrel and Kvatch. The impending battle we may not hold our current postion", the cloaked figure crumpled the letter in his hand and quickly stood up off his throne, unvailing himself. It was the Champion of Cyrodiil, he had some how been tainted by a Daedric Prince. The Champion in all his Black Daedric Armor, threw the Dark Seducer to the wall, with a mighty fireball. As the Champion pushed open the doors of his throne room, a small Daedric Imp flew over with a worried look, "M'lord, what is it? is there something wrong going on at the front?", the Champion turned to the imp, the Champion's voice was deep and sadistic, "I demand that every Dark Seducer move to the Hammerfell and Skyrim Fronts, I will meet them at Bruma", the imp knoded, as the Champion walked off to his bed quarters preparing for war.

The shivering isles are a realm of oblivion and thus suffer from the same akatosh/martin combo roadblock.

Yeah the barriers of akotash' protectio now seal the oblivion chances of opening any portal from any deadric realm if the purpose was to attack. Buuuuut. You could change it around from portals opening up in cyrodil, could make them open else where like outside of nirn? and the ycan make ships or something? That would make more sence. and a little bit mroe interesting. :)

Im pretty sure the barriers would protect all of mundus, not jst Nirn, i mean, the gods did create the entire planet, not just the one continent. Just a thought.

This chapter was interesting, I thought it was better than the first. Oh and everyone, why dont you just enjoy the story, rather than try and interpret the lore and history of the back story, just enjoy it.

Maybe that's how they want to enjoy the story?

Isn't it possible that another tower failed during his timeline, thus weakening the barriers? I tried a rp on a similar subject, and had the statue of Akatosh be destroyed. Never got to the whole sheogorath invades part, but the cause was white gold turning off so to speak when the akatosh statue was destroyed. It was either that or crash White gold into the temple and port districts.
