I think that "dull roar" also has some sounds that are kind of like someone is hitting his head to table.. possibly...

I love cats because they are aggressive, selfish and proud animals. I also love snakes.. but those two species don't mix well ..

Come on. You know you want to see the "Thunder Cats" guild leader yelling "Thunder...Thunder...THUNDERCATS...HOOOOO!!!" before the guild charges into furious battle beseiging and taking keeps.

Expect this on YouTube.

Guess this is only a nerf if it is easy to hit either 100% crit chance, or whatever value they have set for the cap.

Don't worry VtM will has it's own title coming up, well as soon as http://www.ccpgames.com/en/products/world-of-darkness gets some work out.

I hope Argonians never get buffed. I do not like people playing my favorite race just because of some stupid number.

I think carnage was stronger back the way it is but its not a huge nerf and will probably help players get out of the "i need to play a khajiit to compete"

First i think a crit is 150% damage. Second i dont think between 3% or 6% when some spec can achieve around 50% chance of crit is that much of a deal where 15% more damage of crit become more and more relevant, mostly with strong attacks (like soul strike ultimate or trying to finish someone with execute move at low health)

im not a pro at math, i might be wrong.

See, I actually AM a (o)WoD fan. I've spent thousands of hours between them the various subgenres. And would likely spend more. But when I'm playing an MMO, this kind of thing is among my biggest pet peeves.

No, you have it right. The more crit% you have, the more valuable crit damage bonus becomes, and there is a tipping point.

This fixes that issue, while still providing Khajiit a decent benefit. The nerfage or benefit will depend on the build.

Yeah, that's the thing. It never was overpowered or super spectacular. It just looked like it was, so people started [censored]ing about how they are somehow forced to play a Khajiit because 15% crit damage on melee attacks magically makes them walking PvP gods or something.

Now that it's changed, they'll either keep [censored]ing or move on to some other race that they are forced to play if they don't want to be PvP wet noodles with asthma.

Guaranteed +15% damage on Stealth attacks (which utilize a sneak multiplier that flags as a crit - as evidenced by exposed events and readily visible through the FTC addon), as well as a guaranteed +15% damage to 2H Critical Charge (attack always crits)... I see that as an issue. Maybe some don't.

This is a better racial. It's a benefit for some builds. It's a nerf for other builds. And we're in beta, which is the ideal time to make such basic racial changes.

Your right. I just did some more calculations. If using a base of 50% crit chance the value decreases to just a bit more than other races.

50% base crit 100 swings, 1 damage ability:

Noncat: 50 normal hits yield 50 damage, 50 crit hits yield 75 damage. total 125

Oldcat: 47 normal hits at 47 damage, 53 crit hits for 87.45 totaling 134.45

Newcat: 44 normal hits for 44 damage, 56 crit hits for 84 damage, total 128

Change is inevitable.. More change is going to come a lot in the next few months, the nature of the game with MMO's..

Will be interesting how ESO deals with whiners and people that just scream balance, Nerf just cause they got owned in a fight..

This can also make and break a game, ESO needs to be real careful here... Especially with the sheer amount skill choices it is easy for someone to gimp themselves and get owned in a fight than go to board and scream nerf, without really understanding that they need to just adjust their skill set a bit.. Time will tell.

For me this patch was meaningless to be honest, the fixes were tiny and really not even stress tested. I still see the big issues still present on launch day..

Not one mention on instancing/phasing issue at all.. Oh well time will tell on this as well.

Still will be rolling with Khajiit in EB or DC nothing has changed for me. Racial passives are pretty much minuscule in my eyes after some good ole skooma showing me the way.

Math is wrong I think, just going by your totaled numbers at the end 9400 + 600 = 10000

So a slight nerf on paper, but a rather large nerf (or relief) to the perception that you HAVE to roll a Khajit... so mission accomplished?

That's because I accidentally put 600 crit damage instead of 1200, which is what it should be. I fixed it.

That's what happens when you have constant distraction around you from people talking and wanting you to do stuff for them.

I cant say its a nerf, but to the general noob population it kinda is

the extra 15% only really meant like 50-60 more damage max per crit, it wasnt that big a deal.

however dumping that, will make the majority of nubs move off of AD and thats all I really cared about lol

the extra 3% melee crit for them dont bother me at all, you have to be close range to get any use of that.

and I dont think anyone has hit any soft cap for crit yet, but who knows...

Well, it is a kind of nerf. The crit damage multiplier applied to all crits, not just melee. Caster/bow khajiits have been hit with a nerf bat.
