OMG Blizz you complete nerfed my class, now we are useless! All other classes will dance on our bones and nobody will take us to raids. Thank you for ruining my life!
Matt Firor plays in the Daggerfall Covenant, IMO.
Who told? That was supposed to be our secret.
You sure it's a nerf? Or is it a buff disguised as a nerf?
Just some rough math here. Lets say just for the sake of argument that normal attacks do 100 damage and crits do double damage.
One hundred attacks with old carnage 3% crit + 15% crit damage:
97 * 100 = 9700 normal damage. 3 * 215 = 645 crit damage.
Total = 10345 damage.
One hundred attacks with new carnage 6 % crit, no extra crit damage:
94 * 100 = 9400 normal damage. 6 * 200 = 1200 crit damage.
Total = 10600 damage.
Uh oh. The damage went up with the new Carnage passive. Not down.
Take that, you people calling for a nerf without even researching if it's really needed!
Could be argued both ways. Let's just say Khajiit got 'fixed'.
But I do see where this change will benefit some builds, diminish other builds. Better now than after launch, though.
I mean I did it for the look of the race more than anything. They could wipe the racials but I'd still want to look like this: http://www.dandwiki.com/w/images/thumb/c/ce/Rakshasa_Noble.png/360px-Rakshasa_Noble.png or this: http://img-cache.cdn.gaiaonline.com/c19479b5f1350372bc204b3cb4fa4990/http://wizards.com/dnd/images/art_preview/20080423_114844_456vbn_0.jpg
You know...minus the backwards hands bit.
I wonder how many min maxers are re-evaluating their options as we speak?
Don't you hear that dull roar in the background? That's a million keyboards flying a mile a minute.
The ones with no conviction about art and aesthetic appeal ;D
Trust me: I'm a power gamer/min maxer but I'm also an RPer (ish) and appreciate the way things look.
I'm guess I'm in that crowd of "Well if it looks cool..."
I'm glad to hear it. I was sorry to hear that some people found themselves almost being pigeonholed into certain races, due to their calculating nature. While it never bothered me, I can see why some people were annoyed with how overpowered the Khajiit were.
It's a good change. Keep 'em coming.
That's what you get for siding with those filthy elves! I for one feel no pity for you good for nothing elf lovers!
It is BEYOND me why anyone would want to be anything other than a TIGER MAN. You can literally be a TIGER PERSON. Or a white tiger, or a panther, or a jaguar and maybe even a lion (Didn't notice if there was a full mane sort of option for hair, didn't look for it). I mean come on.
What more could you possibly need?
The racials just happened to be convenient for the class I wanted to play (Nightblade). Man...I want to start a guild called "Thunder Cats" and you can be Khajiit only and we need to fill the roster of thunder cats. Dibs on Tygra.
Did the math as well. Khajiits now deal more damage as you've shown.

Google "D&D Rakshasa". I remember them from my old monster manuals and always loved them like conceptually, but since they were monster race you could never really "be" one.
I hate cats. They are aggressive, selfish pets. Khajiits and their Legolas friends will die in Cyrodiil.
Depending on your build, this could be a boost or a nerf, yes. Regardless, I think it's a good fix. I see far fewer issues with 6% crit rate than I do with 3%/15%.
Why? It was a good TV show and the remake was even better but somehow got canceled I think which is heart breaking IN THE FULLEST
I for one am more partial to the Imperials, but I was at least smart enough to pick the same side as the Khajiit.. I'm not that crazy.
For the same reason I don't want to see Vampire the Masquerade, Twilight, or other such elements in the game. I don't mind small easter eggs, but I'd rather play an Elder Scrolls game.
Have you ever tried having an Orc as a pet or a Dunmer? I have, and they were so aggressive I sadly had to put them down.
