End of the Line

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 6:00 pm

For all TES fans this IS the end of the line for the next few years. Expect nothing from the franchise for a long long time.

There are those who will be resilient enough to contimue posting on these forums during this fallow period. Others will forget TES completely

TES needs to get back to its roots from the days of Morrowind whenever Bethesda decides to release the next game. The graphics also needs to improve

And why exactly do you say this?

If there is no official lore we will make our own. The Monkey speaks.

Because Morrowind was the pinnacle of TES in every way?

Your nostalgia goggles are showing.

Is there any particular reason this thread is here of all places?

He's speaking of lore. Besides that, nostalgia doesn't work as a counter argument for a game still popular today.

I assume vilnii refers to the fact that the only game in development in the TES franchise right now is TESO, which takes lore not seriously at all. For them it's more of a tool to draw in the fantasy mmo crowd, it seems. And Bethesda is working on Fallout 4 no doubt, meaning that the next TES game besides TESO will be many years off.

Its entirely possible to play a game and feel nostalgic about it.

It is no different then feeling nostalgia while visiting your childhood home, or something similar.

Every time vilnii posts, I seriously cannot tell whether it's satire or not.

Wickedly stupid thread.

This. Morrowind is a great game, and by no stretch of the imagination is everyone who loves the game 'wearing rose-tinted glasses'. But declaring that the series should be more like Morrowind is a pretty big indicator.

Graphics are fine: for the next game, I wish Bethesda would concentrate more on story, gameplay and content and less on graphics. For the rest, I know that for the next 4 years I won't be seeing any more TES...

You know, this sounds a lot like flame-bait instead of constructive criticism.

There are TES fans who posted in the gap between Battlespire and Daggerfall, and Daggerfall and Morrowind, and Morrowind and Oblivion, and Oblivion and Skyrim. You do realize that people are still posting now in the Morrowind boards, right?

Even when there was *no* information from Bethesda about a new ES game. No one forgot the ES games completely.

I'm glad you like Morrowind. I hope you can find a game that you will enjoy.
