Broken Steel fixed a lot of problems with Fallout 3.

Fates of settlements, the Commonwealth, and other places?

Broken Steel was a one off thing since Fallout was the only game post Morrowind that ended once you beat it.

Bethesda doesn't do ending slides, they just make whatever the future is obvious in the game world.
