Endings...

This has been on my mind for a while. Now, I finished the game with the NCR wins scenario, but some of the slides made me think "What the hell is this about?"

The Followers of the Apocalypse, for example, were removed from the Old Mormon Fort by the NCR. Now, I find this to be unrealistic, given my Courier's interactions with them. The Followers and my Courier were friends, I suppose, and he was a member.

Basically, Obsidian means to tell me that this Courier, who was friends with the Followers, and the most influential/dangerous person in the Mojave, wouldn't do anything about that? Seriously?

I am not meaning to complain or anything, I was just wondering if this bothered anybody else.

Yes, this scripted ending bothered me more than any other except maybe Veronica's. Basically, there's no good ending for the FOA or her, and that's pretty lame IMO. I'm like you in that I invested mucho time into helping them only for them to get run out of Freeside by the NCR? Not only NO, but HE11 NO!!! Gimme a break!

And likewise I can't help but believe as much as I helped them both (and The King) that I would somehow find a way to broker some sort of agreement with them and the FOA for a mutually beneficial relationship for all. It's almost as if the Courier somehow just disappears after the final battle and is never heard from or seen again. But I damn sure know that if my character was still there that quite a few things would have NOT ended like the scripted ending says they did, or my character would have died taking a LOT of NCR out with him. Even though he sided with the NCR in the main quest, he is NOT about to put up with any NCR atrocities or tyranny without going down swinging! There's a new Sheriff in town baby, (his name is Reggie Hammond!!!) and you DON'T want to upset him!

So basically, I just pretend that that ending is bullpoop and imagine my own outcome for the FOA or whoever. I also got the same kind of feeling from the Goodsprings ending. Besides, I don't necessarily play any game for the ending. In fact, most of the time the endings are very anti-climatic. For me it's the journey getting there that's important! Thanks for the OP!

Yeah, made mi kind of sad to read about them.

But isn't it kinda hinted that the Courier left the Mojave in the NCR ending?
The ending is only showing stuff that happened without any further influence by the courier, iirc.

Actually, there *is* an ending for Followers and NCR living hapilly together. It's just bugged so you don't get the proper dialogue option with Julie Farkas.
