Endless loading time

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:42 am

Hello there everyone,
As someone coming to the construction kit rather late, I'm fairly sure I'm doing something wrong just can't tell what. I've installed the kit, it's the latest version, I have the newest oblivion version etc.
My problem comes when I try to load it up, I select oblivion and activate it, and then it goes to the little box that tells you it is loading things (with the location address and the timer) and loads. I got bored and shut it off after leaving it for 12 hours and still nothing. I was told it might take a while, but 12 hours is just taking the Michael.
What wrong?
Thanks for your help,
~Karenthian~

Yes I checked oblivion and set it. I've gone through all the usual route and checked help files/beginners guides etc. I'm not a total modding noob, I've modded games and written a few programs myself but this program seems to be giving me grief.
I did understand it might take a while to load, but if I should be looking at minutes worth then something is VERY wrong :/

You might want to post in the Hardware and Software Issues forum.

It could be a conflict with a sound of video driver. You might also want to post the actual version of the game and CS you are using.
Game Version can be found on the bottom left of the Game menu.
CS Version can be found on the Help toolbar dropdown.

I have CS 1.2.404 and Oblivion 1.2.0416. How can I find out if it is a hard/software problem? I just assumed it should go here as it was a CS related issue, apologies if I'm mistaken.

Somebody may be able to help in this forum, but you might have better luck in the hardware software problems forum. Your choice, really. :)
They will also ask for your computer specs, but they can let you know how to get that.
