Hello.I need help with this as it occured out of nowhere.I'm level four and currently doing Moira's quest in Minefield.Everything worked fine, and I would get the "caution" notification while sneaking on my search for mines.I both quicksaved and normally saved.After sometime walking around the level though and while having dogmeat by me, I noticed game would not give the "caution" notification anymore upon approaching a mine.Note that taking out Arkansas was the first thing to do upon entering the area, and the enemy notification functioned well.

So, is this a bug?If yes how do I fix it?I have only tried quitting my game to the main meny and then load my last save, it still didn't work.Is using an older save effective to remedy this?

I think it's just a glitch. I too, have experienced the same thing. Sometimes I get Caution when I'm near a mine, sometimes I do not. When I disarm the mine in the former case, I go back to Hidden. Though one thought: I have experienced Caution before, for quite some time, at times, when there is no one and nothing around. I would walk in each direction about 20 yards, at least out in the wastes, and use my scope to try and figure it out. Usually, in the end, I find that I attracted just enough attention of a completely different enemy, and they are slowly tracking me. It's usually Yao Guai for me, who have been following me for some time. Perhaps me ducking around that big rock up ahead was just enough that he didn't spot me and full on attacked, but he knew something/someone was around.

Thanks for the reply, also +rep for really putting your insight into this,much appreciated.I really prefer it being a glitch than a corrupted savegame case.I too go back to hidden state after disarming the mine, but I can't remember Caution events such as the ones you're mentioning though.Will have to give it a little space on tonight's playthrough and check if things return to "as usual" state in the next enemies spawn area.If anything else fails, I'll just have to repeat the whole mindfield area, worst case scenario is an gameplay hour lost.
