Sometimes in VATS or right after things will have a plasma-ish green glow for a minute. For example, I entered VATS and killed someone with my Service Rifle, during the kill cam thing an enemy on the floor had this glow and so did a Sassparilla Machine in the background. It kind of looks like it should be there that's why I didn't think it was a glitch. It's not a glow like with ghouls, it looks like Plasma or something. It's not a steady glow either.. It's kind of faint but noticeable, and it's metallic-like or orbish.. It's hard to explain because it looks like it's flowing or something. I'm on PS3 by the way..

I'm playing the game blind (no spoilers, walkthroughs, guide, etc...). Without spoiling too much, who is Boone and why do I have his perk?

Sounds more like Rex's Search & Mark. Boone highlights live characters when you zoom, Rex highlights pickups and containers when you zoom. Boone's seems to go away immediately when you unzoom, Rex's stays for a few seconds.

As stated above, this is indeed Rex's perk. I have not had Boone as a follower, yet some things glow green, and only when I have Rex with me. Annoying, to be honest.

That must be it, then, because I do have Rex.
