Enemies not attacking instantly when using mods.

I noticed that I can aproach and even talk to NPC's that are supposed to attack me on sight when I'm running a lot of mods. Eventually, when I stand next to them for a couple of seconds they do attack but that's not how it's supposed to be obviously. Anyone knows what might cause this?

Actually I would be interested to know this as well. I have had this happen where they basically dont notice for a couple seconds. I think its kinda amusing, but isnt annoying enough for me to have gone and researched.

I have noticed the same thing too, it seems to happen most noticeably in areas where there is a lot of other stuff going on - for example being attacked by multiple MCA thugs/ruffians or rats/beetles added by a creatures type mod in the middle of Ald'ruhn or Balmora when there are loads of NPCs/creatures/animations added by various mods all doing something at once, they will take a few seconds to work out what they need to do next! I'd always put it down to game engine limitations, it doesn't make use of multiple cores on modern CPUs for example and can only do so many things at the same time - I have no idea whether that is the right answer, but I'd always imagined it was something like that causing that slight delay when there's a lot of other stuff going on in the cell.
