Enemies spot you WAY too easily without cloak (SP)

Post » Tue Feb 26, 2013 8:16 am

First of all,i don't want an easy game. There's a difference between a game being hard and being restricted.Anyway,i've tried all difficulties from normal to post warrior and they're all the same crap

In single player you rely way too much on cloak. If you are not cloaked you must be like a giant "SHOOT HERE" billboard, because the enemy 100 meters away looking at the stars will see you immediately and fire

Also, even inside grass, cloak runs out, everyone on the city sees you.Inside a bush.same thing. In the night standing still inside a shadow surrounded by tens of ruined buildings you expect to be unseen for at least 5 seconds. But NOO,the SEE ME THROUGH THE ONE BRICK MISSING.

Come on.I'm wearing a freaking grey/black suit in the dark, yet i'm as visible as a pink Hummer with christmas lights and a train horn

Even C1 A.I was not this stupid(in the sense of not behaving like they should)

Similar issues with the AI in crysis 2 spotting you easily and firing at you through walls etc. Probably leftover bugs that didn't get worked out properly.

Maybe they wanted to give a meaning to clock. If you could sneak undetected when you are not clocked, cloak wouldn't have much purpose.. It's like they wanted to force players to use it.. which I actually like. I don't want to pretend that I need cloak and use it for the heck of it, I want it to actually help me.
But there might be bugs if they can spot you in impossible conditions..

For real? I feel like I will be quite disappointed if I go from Warhead to Crysis 3.

I agree that being unable to hide in the vegetation is very, very odd.

Considering this has been possible in every single Crysis including Crysis 2, it might be a bug. I'll raise this issue with the devs.

Just because you can do some stealth action without cloak,it wouldn't mean that cloak would be useless. It's just that instead of being the main part of gameplay,it would be used as a tool to escape sticky situations or remain undetected in places that are impossible to hide

Forcing cloak to me looks a bit stupid.Yes of course you have it,but you know sometimes it would feel good to do some stealth kills because i was aware and planned my actions, not just because i was cloaked.

Even C1 A.I was not this stupid(in the sense of not behaving like they should)I experienced this as well buddy you are not the only one, and especially on that level in the swamps at night (forgot the name) they can see you 30 meters in front of them with peripheral vision (when they are not directly looking at you) and you are in a bush or half revealing your self, it's just annoying.

In SP, even if you cloak, when you just exit the cover they spot you like if you were not using cloak, they shoot for a split second, then stop and act like the don't know, shiznit!

I agree. But the best solution would be to be able to hide without cloak and have limited times of using cloak. That way, you would use cloak when you really NEED it. And you would would sneak without cloak where you can, to spare the cloak for situations when you NEED it. I want to use or not to use cloak because I need to. I don't want to pretend I need it or not. If I can use it any time, the game is soooo easy. ):
