Enemies that you cant see and the mini-map

Post » Sun May 12, 2013 1:15 pm

I've had a nagging question about dots on the mini-map. I notice a lot that better players seem to know someone is out there but they cant see them whether they are cloacked or just out of sight. How do you approach them? I see people aiming in the general direction when I watch ppl's videos and a lot times the enemy tag shows up (and visor wasnt used). So how does that work? Do I aim in the direction and wait for a tag? Because right now I end up just firing random rounds hoping to make them visible but it's hit or miss a lot....Any tips?

Option A: Use good headphones to hear their footsteps and suit sounds at 10m.
Option B: Use the sound of gunfire and the locations of your alive and dead allies to guess.
Option C: Either get a big ass monitor or train your eyes to spot cloacked players at any distance.

Option D - used by most people: All of the above.

as far as cloaking goes, on some monitors it is much easier to spot cloaked enemies.
this is because of the red hue/overlay. on a led back light lcd cloakers are rather easy to see, i hardly ever use my nano vision.

if you want to cheat, turn your red up on your monitor xD

as mjr.strickland said a good headset makes a huge difference, honestly though crysis 3 is so faced paced i dont even pay attention for footsteps.

wide resolution monitor will always give you the jump on people.
