Enemy Encounter Lag

Sorry if this has been posted else where but I didn't see much on the topic.

Playtime: 55 Hours LVL 32

My play through has been great up until the other night while coming down the window washing elevator on Trinity Towers. As soon as an enemy is engaged, whether I shoot at them or they see me, my game lags for upwards of 2-3 seconds before any further actions can be taken (shoot, switch weapons, stimpak etc.). In small areas with few enemies the lag is minimal, but any vaults or large areas with numerous enemies it is really difficult to play.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have tried a hard reset on the Xbox, removed excess saved files, and am playing offline. I bought the bundle for myself for Christmas..........Pretty bummed. Wish I had bought another game with it. :/

Thanks in advance!

I had some time to troubleshoot my problem last night and narrowed it down to an inventory item. What I did to test this out was:

- Went to Sanctuary Hills and stored all items I currently had on me into a storage container (running naked through the wasteland sure looks strange lol)

- Went out to two different spots, the rock quarry and the town next to Sanctuary Hills sorry forgot the names. These two areas lagged my game prior to testing with 2-3 second loads between each enemy I would target

- The result with no inventory items was a huge improvement. I really didn't notice any lag and was shocked that it actually helped.

- I then reloaded my save point (just after I dumped all items into the container), and slowly started adding items back. First some guns and ammo. Lag was still gone!

- I then got tired of testing all scenarios and just grabbed everything I had in the container and went out. Lag came back on me. I dumped all junk and non essential misc. items and the lag reduced but was still noticeable, but much better.

So I either have a bugged item in inventory somewhere or the carrying capacity is effecting the game play in some way. I'm going to continue dumping inventory to see which specific item it could be.

Just wanted to post in case anyone else runs into a similar issue!
