Enemy Spawn Time, the most annoying thing to me.

For those of you that have almost completely beat the game and can't find anything to do or kill, put yes. I don't play this game anymore because there is nothing to kill! I have to kill Paladin Sato when I wanna test a weapon. Then I reload the save which takes longer. I have the Gun Runner's Arsenal and I can't find anything to use the weapons on. Help me make the game fun again, without making me lose all my stuff and have to restart. By the way, I have nearly 23 MILLION caps, so you can understand why I don't want to restart.

I think I know how you feel. It's kind of furstrating as your almost done completing the game, but as you travel, not even fast travel, you'll notice how empty and boring the landscape can get. No Feral ghouls, Fiends are just not appearing as much, enemies don't wander, they just sit in one place. Not exactly as random and fun as Fallout 3 when it came to "OMGWTF" encounters. Not even talking about Random Encounters, but just seeing an Albino Radscorpion or raiders in the horizon, traveling, or fighting at something else before going on their own pathway.

Thank you your exactly right. I just don't have fun. You see the occasional deathclaw but I kill one easily. It just has lost its fun random touch.

i for one also agree here , even the legion assasins dont come after you as often , and they have ceartain spawn areas . and once you kill a group , a 3 day wait lies ahead of you before the next batch appears . btw , how the hell did you amass 23 mill caps ? , but yeah me ? i have 45 million :) mmmmmmyyeeaaaaaaaaahh haah !

Nice man I'm guessing you know the glitch to get those caps right? And if you agree vote in the pole to make Bethesda notice.

I for one don't really feel this way and I don't understand why you wouldn't want to start a new game. I'm guessing you used an exploit to get all of those caps so why not try another game without using the exploit. I find that getting about 100k caps through scavenging alone is not only a lot more satisfying, but is also all I need to get whatever I want.

As for the spawn times, I have no issue. The game isn't solely about killing everything for me. I find plenty of other things to do, namely scavenging and when I get really into the game three days just flies by.

I get your point but I am getting bored. I like exploring and finding new areas. There's just nothing shooting at me there, which is disappointing.

"War, war never changes". For me, this game is about the life of the character, and at some point, that life, that story, must close. I do not fear the end of the game, for that, the ending slides, is the true test of my character. The spawn times of those who shoot at me isn't relevant, only what they add to the tale of this Courier. I enjoy seeing the fruits of my labor, my character's labor. If I clear an area, it should stay clear unless there's some reason it shouldn't.

23,000,000 caps!?!? How....why...why even bother at that point? Why even bother to make more caps than about 130,000?

Alright I'll start a new story but I have a lot of the weapons and a lot of caps, so I won't necessarily like starting over. I still say that fixing the spawns would make the game more fun.

:tops: I approve this comment and agree with everything it states. There isn't really any point to getting more then 100k or so caps, you can buy anything in the game at that point...unless he needs millions of caps in order to make a pyramid out of caps for Mr. House to be buried in or to buy enough Stimpaks, Rad-x and Radaway to create a twenty seven foot tall statue of Raul.

Who are you, the President?"I approve this message", well I approve this message to VERBALLY KICK YOUR A**. Just kidding. I understand your points. I got this many caps because it made the game more interesting so I could find the one weapon I really liked. You don't have to continually dislike on how many caps I have, this topic isn't about caps. Plus, I said that for those who have beaten the game, as in collected a lot of the stuff and do not want to restart because they will lose those things.

Yes the spawning does get very boring but I have just accepted that I am done with the game. It was A LOT of fun, but I've played through with like 8b characters and done all DLC so I'm content with waiting for the next title.

I know it's just that I personally don't like using exploits in RPG's unless it makes the game more enjoyable for me. In one of my games I have nearly every single unique weapon, clothing and miscellaneous object in the game arranged by category into all of the containers in the SINK and whenever I go there and take a look through those containers I get a feeling of nostalgia at how long it took and how difficult some of these items were to get. Besides I was never talking about restarting the game, just starting a new character and make different decisions. This thread seems to be really about how to alleviate boredom when you've done as much as you think possible in New Vegas and I gave my suggestions.

... it's not about killing, its about SURVIVAL and making an actual impact in the Wasteland itself. However, seeing how NCR complain about Fiends and saying "how deadly" they are across the wastes, or about the dangers of radscorpions, when in reality, Fiends only cruise barely around Camp McCarren, and Vault 3, and Radscorpions? please, they blatantly appear by 3 areas, done. You don't get ambushed, suddenly turned around and talking to a suspicious character, or a group shooting at your side as your the Mohave Wasteland. In reality, you wouldn't live for awhile out therewith coyote's, scorpions, and snakes hidden within the dirt, or being scoped out by some people, so imagine being out there in the Wastes. Instead of getting that trifling fear or that stern shot of courage in you as you say "alright...lets do this" when you travel out there without any safety from a town, you begin to realize this:.......wow....this is boring. Scavenging is nice and all, but after you do this, what's the point? to pick up more crap to sell? scavenging alone is just pathetic once you play Dead Money, you basically rake in the free crap you can sell off to vendors while making a lovely cap on them. Don't even get me started on OWB, showing that you can basically rake in hundreds of thousands of caps in just that DLC alone because of the Lobotomites weaponry becoming Brush Guns and Protonic Axes as soon as you enter. Hopefully Fallout 4 (or whatever) will provide a more 'dangerous' approach when walking out there. Just because radiation died out and people are growing in cities or towns, doesn't mean outside from their safe zone is a 'special' place too. Wild animals stalk and circle outside the skirts of towns, waiting for anyone foolish enough to walk too far from protection, or Raiders getting their scope out to snipe anyone unlucky enough to get close.

And I thank you for that, this forum is what I like. I made this account today to discuss this topic because I played the game today, then went to AC Revelations because of the boredom. I used to find so much fun in this game and I have gotten nearly all the weapons that I can and I am about to just sell t.

Actually no, I have played 5 times and still not gotten all the achievements. I played through to the end the first 4 times and then stayed with the 5th till now.

nico , agree with ur comment back on mine , and yes it was the v &v glitch that took me to that amount haha ! and to the others , yes it may be ridicoulous to have that much , but when it counts to stock up on stimpaks & rad aways from vendors , when you enter deathclaw promontory , or dead wind cavern for a blast , you'll soon find out why having 10 stipmpaks on you is not enough at all lol

Thank you for explaining it, but I still prefer to earn my caps and by the time I get to any of the places you mentioned I usually have about 150 Stimpaks. To each his own I guess.

That is true and i would love to see an fallout like that, the game is only harder in start, but after you play a bit more,is not the same, radiation looks like nothing in fonv,in my opinion, radiation should be more dangerous, good weapons and armor should be harder to obtain, bullets should be more expensive, strong weapons and defence gears also, all enemies in fallout should see farther range, because you can easy take them down with any weapon in a mid or long range distance, they looks like crazy ants without an destiny to go ( all enemies),every enemy should spott enemies from far like deathclaw, not all,but a bunch of enemies.
Another wierd fact is,an NPC/Enemie tooks your health a lot quicker with pistol than an sniper rifle....They should have better accurary, like boone,i also hope to see dogmeat in fallout 4 and maybe jericho ( all with changes of course) .... If you play the game only for killing of course this would not be fun, cause it is not the real purpose on the game,if you wanna kill,go play Battlefield 3,CODMW3,Assassins Creed Revelations etc....

With hardcoe mode on i personaly feel stimpacks become overrated(except for the super one cuz i have yet to find sth else givin me 20hp per second) and prefr survival over medecine and by the way scavenging just feels better in a wasteland rather yhen using an exploit.

Thank you all for giving your opinions. Except the ones who are still getting mad over my amount of caps. I never thought this post would even get a reply. Nice to see that my side of the argument is winning though. I have taken all things into consideration. And I started a new character and will use the exploit to get a mass amount of AMMO. I decided that my weapons should be earned legitimently. Also I realized how fun having to assassinate people to get guns is. But I still stand by my statement.
