From a fear standpoint, definitely the Deathclaws...fearsome to say the least.

From an OMG WTF is THAT standpoint, Centaurs take the cake...six human arms for legs and three really wacky tongues...

From a literal pain-in-the-ass standpoint, I just started Point Lookout and I am amazed at the stamina and pain-dealing of the Brawler/Creeper couples that are kicking the s**t outta me!

Super Mutants. I was on my way to GNR before i went in the metro tunnels, and i met up with some riaders who were across the potomac river. i wasted like 30 Hunting rifle rounds shooting at them( small guns was like 20, i was level 3 i think) and i went over there to loot them. ( I thought i was a Bad @$$) But looked back across the river once i got over there, and there were 2 Muties shooting me, 1 with a Minigun and 1 with an Assault-rifle. I wasted all the ammo for almost every gun had on them, and i started using my 10mm on the Super Mutant's Minigun. i eventually destroyed it, after like 90 rounds, and ran for my life. I had to go through the metro tunnels using a police baton so i could keep my 5 10mm rounds for somthing big.

When I saw my first super mutant. I was in the metro tunnels, heading up a tunnel that opens into one of those big chambers with the escalators, and there was this big silhouette right where the tunnel ends and the chamber begins. OMG. I had no idea what to expect, I'd only been playing the game for a day or two. I must have sat there for a couple of minutes trying to decide what to do. I was really into it. In the end I tried to sneak by him, but it didn't work. I felt like a real bad ass when I killed him. Pathetic, now that I look back on it, but one of my favorite moments none the less.

radscorpions, especially the ones that you don't know are there until they are stinging you, and most especially those damn albino bullet sponges... =/

Deathclaws are definitely pretty freaky lookin but seeing a centaur for the first time seriously had me wondering about the developers' sanity.

Yeah those centaurs are freaky. But what scares me more..................GAAAAARRRYYY! Im going through a vault do do do da du de dum and i hear this" Ahh, Gary" so i think it was my brother watching some stupid You tube video. Then i turn around and there is this freak hitting me with a cclub! I think" Holy [censored]! Killed him and high tailed it out of there, only to realize there is a bobblehead in there. But i aint goin back in there!

I've had several. One was obviously the Centaur. I just though 'WTF? What happened to him?'
The first time I saw a Supermutant, I had literally just come out of Vault 101. I had no idea where I was supposed to go, and just started wandering. After a few minuted, BAM! I was running away from the big green b*****d trying to swat my head off with a nailboard! I had used up most of my 10mm ammo on the raiders in Springvale School, and so I was running backwards shooting a frigging BB Gun at it! Just about managed to survive though :celebration:

The first time i fast-travelled to the Super-Duper Mart, I appeared right next to a Giant Radscorpion. I was still a pretty low level, but it was green on my compass, and it was playing with a couple of raiders. Now, as this was the first time seeing one of these buggers, I thought they were non-hostile. Imagine my surprise when it decides that I look quite tasty too!

With the Deathclaws, one of my freinds had warned me about them, and I managed to spot this one without him seeing me. As you can imagine, I avoided him like the plague! Even if he did have half his health gone, I wasn't gonna take any chances.

The scariest thing?

We'll it isn't in the wasteland, It's in V87, the failed experiments in the rooms-not the centaurs, the dead fat skeletons.

the scariest encounter i had was after meeting up with Sarah Lyon's on the way to GNR, i was facing the statue thing in the courtyard with my back turned and the behemoth hit me with its enlarged fire hydrant.... bethesda still owe me new underwear and toilet roll...

Rad scorpions, glowing ones in packs of ferals, mirelurks, and strangely mole rats were my moments on my first playthrough.

Hello peeps...been gone awhile...but i'm back.....my first encounter with a Deathclaw was cool because I only caught a fast glimpse of it so that added to the mystery and scariness factor (kinda like the movie Jaws, where you dont see the shark for the first half of the flim) anyway, the Deathclaw I glimpsed killed a random wastelander in an abandoned barn while I was on the 2nd floor of the structure....I just heard all this noise and shooting and when I ran down the steps I saw the wastelander wasted and the Deathclaw running over a hill in the distance......

show him respect! if you read about him and his whole story youll have a change of heart.



im pretty sure he was the only person who would go out of his way to save your life in the wasteland.


the first time i ran into a reaver, my heart stopped so long i was officially dead for 5 seconds. it's gut wrenching scream, then itll throw its guts at you and make you vomit your guts out.

Centaurs and the most disgusting creatures, but those Yao Gui and Deathclaws are far more destructive. And unlike those lumbering Behemoths, they're too fast to get with a mini-nuke.

not met a yao guai yet or a deathclaw but met a giant radscorpion

saw it and went, whoa that's huge...I heard these guys were tough.

For some reason it registered as friendly so I thought I could get a good first hit...

Throw a frag grenade, it becomes hostile and chases after me. Go into V.A.T.S. and shoot it three times. It dies.

Those friggin' ants in Grayditch are also a pain, unless you have a Warrior and a bunch of others. Frenzy the Warrior, get him coming toward you, and run right at the others. You'll get singed, but then the Warrior incinerates them. And I gather up the meat and nectar afterward.

I got the deathclaw random encounter by thte superduper mart at level 3.

i think some one has a little crush lol awww.

anyway. when i first met a reaver in the presidential metro i have to admit a crapt a mini-nuke lol. after i used up all my 5.56 i realised i should have used said mini-nuke lol
