I have some questions about energy weapons. I have tried focusing on energy weapons from the beginning on my first aborted run. On my second run, I ignored energy weapons entirely in the beginning, and have not used it much. But I'm getting interested in exploring it after doing OWB. I'm currently level 38. At this point, I am very interested in hearing opinions about energy weapons from other players.

My only experience with energy rifle is with LAER. I really like LAER. It has very high rate of fire, much faster than semi-automatic rifles, and does good damage. It feels like I could use it like assault rifles by spamming shots.

So my questions:

Do you use both energy weapons and guns? Is there a good reason for doing that?

Do you like energy weapons? Have you done a build with focus on energy weapons?

What are some of your favorite energy weapons?

If you have done a pure energy weapon build before, what advice would you give to a new player wanting to do an energy weapon build?

Is there an energy weapon equivalent of Sniper Rifle or AMR? Some sort of long range sniping weapon with a scope?
