Engineers

I have a feeling the Engineers are going to be overpowred, but its just a feeling so dont flame me for it. Why?

A prime example is Killzone 2, if you havnt played it ill explain. People constantly abused of the class system since the engineer class was clearly overpowerd by its sentry bots and the fact it only had a shotgun.
Also since engineers can boost their weapons it would just like Stopping power and magnum ammo from COD/BC2 giving an unfair advantage to engineers.

Although this is probably not going to happen, I just dont want the engineer to be abused like in KZ2.

This might be true if you won the game by getting kills but completing objectives.
Plus you can only have one sentry and you have a cooldown of sorts so you can "boost spam"

They wont, theres been some major thought into this game and wont let a class more powerfull then the others left alone to reck the game, turrets wont be a issue since there better being placed in key places. Just sit tight and hope for the best (Motto for Brink)

Splash Damage is putting a lot of work in to balancing the classes so I'd be surprised if one class was clearly over-powered.

You shouldn't really compare this game's outcome to other games that are nothing like Brink. SD has been tweaking and balancing this game for at least a year now so I see no point in really worrying.

Worrying ain't going to change anything. We can only hope.

Engineers were not OP in kz2, i played engineer and tactician, if anything i always liked the m82 assault rifle :(the isa rifle) and the shotgun was only powerful at close range as you would expect, sentrys had a max of 4 per team and every player had a long cd, only way to spam it was to kill yourself and make another one, but its not worth to do. So im not sure what your talking about.

In the Expo demo, the Medic class gathered most XP easily.

Engineers will probably be powerful, because they can buff their weapons. However, Medics can buff their health & heal themselves and Soldiers have infinite ammo.

Your main concerns are invalid, because the weapon-restrictions are based on bodytypes and there are no such things as flying sentry-bots, only stationary sentrys which can be hacked by Operatives.

Everything has a counter, everything has a limit. For instance the soldiers can hand out infinite ammo, as long as they have enough ability pips. They recharge over time. Giving buffs/things to oneself increases the cost and reduces the amount of XP gained (Might even be 0) Leadersboards on the end of the round show XP gained, not kills.

Whats the great ability of the Operative. The ability to appear as a friendly right?

There are 10 to choose from.

One of them is to play dead, the other is to disguise yourself as an enemy, you can gain radar for 10 seconds for your team or you can hack turrets. There are no "main" abilities, except the standard set, which is available without buying them.
For example, the main ability set of a medic contains healing and reviving.
