wrinklyninja, do you mind if I can see your Enhanced Transitions Value for both Tamriel and Shivering Isles?
I just don't know what to set for those

I don't actually use ET myself, I've never felt that transition speeds are too long. Though this may be due to the fact I hardly play, so haven't spent enough time to realise something isn't right. Sorry I can't be of much use. :shrug:

I'm also posting to say that once more I will be away. This time, I'll be away from tomorrow till the 26th. I should be able to check these forums occasionally while I am away, but you have been warned if my input drops considerably.

What Timescale do you play with.? has that make a difference.

I use default game timescale, have obse timescale turned on, and have transitions turned on.

7500 is a good value for slower transition between weather I have noticed..on default time scale once again.

Have not tried anything higher than that.?

or 2500 or faster transition..(Script will get process faster, and I Noticed funky weather with lower than 2500, but that is to be expect when it transition so fast from one to another, and well that was in 1.3.4 has well, have not retested in current version)..

I played with timescale of 8
I also used Timescale Weather, but don't know what to set for those either

So if I'm playing with a low timescale, then i should set the Timescale Weather/Enhanced Transition at a lower value?

Well, if I were you, I'd try a multiple of what he recommended for the default (x30 timescale). Since he recommends 7500, I'd say for you you could try something around 2500-3000.

Should work out to be about the same, if I understand the transition multiplier correctly.

I personally use default timescale and don't use enhanced transitions.

I just got back from my trip yesterday, and I've got an update for you all. My thanks goes to ThumperZ for pointing out a couple of the bugs to me. You can get the update on TES Nexus.

Once again, I'm going to be globe-trotting. I'm leaving on Monday, and will be gone for 3 weeks (just in time to miss my new laptop arriving! :sigh: ). At least this trip is actually a holiday. :)

I hope you all enjoy your summers as much as I will. :D

EDIT:

Oh, and ThumperZ also discovered that a number of the SetWeather... OBSE functions were buggy in that they were applying the wrong values, and reported that to the OBSE team. This has since been fixed for v18. :)

"070018a1" o7 in my load order is the Enhanced weather .esm file.

Ok so I opened that in TES4Edit the script is "EWENSIScript"

EDIT: I turned off enhanced nights for SI and the I got an error with "07002649" which is the enhanced transitions script for SI. I'm guessing there's a problem with your SI stuff, I didn't get anything like this with the previous version.

Just tried the 1.3.7 version with enhanced nights for SI on and didn't get any errors. Sorry no ideas to offer.

Edit: Looked through scripts briefly didn't see any problems. Just saw the 137 updates.

The first beta of OBSE v18 has been released, and much to my joy it contains GetCurrentRegions, as well as the brilliant ability to create your own functions. I've just finished switching the whole optional feature system to use these functions, streamlining EW once more. :)

I'm about to go on and update the SI weather script with the new GetCurrentRegions functionality, which will make it more accurate, and more intricate should I need it to be so.

Soon I'll be able to start cooking some regionalised weather goodies for you all. :)

@ Uglulyx: I rewrote the scripts of all the optional features, so hopefully your problem will be fixed in the next release.

EW is the most impressive weather mod causes my girlfriend to ask at night if its storming outside! Cant wait for the regions addition! Great work wrinklyninja!

Ok I'll look forward to that. I don't spend much time in The Isles anyway. :P Oh and it seems that Elsweyr's weather works no, with the latest update for Elsweyr.

I'm not keeping previous versions up - that just creates a support nightmare, with people all using different versions. You can always just roll back to 1.3.5, it's only another version different.

Anyway, I've decided to upload 1.3.8 tommorrow before I disappear again, so that you aren't all left without goodies while I'm gone.

Since it will require a beta version of OBSE, I'm going to be a true hypocrite and keep 1.3.7 uploaded too, just in case OBSE v18 gets updated and breaks compatibility, or in case it turns out that the changes I have made don't work very well. I wouldn't normally do this, but I am going to be away for a while, so I'd hate to leave you all without a backup of sorts.
