Enslave raiders?

Post » Thu May 20, 2010 9:18 pm

I despise the foul-mouthed punks and would love to be able to enslave them and deliver them to Eulogy. Same goes for the Talon mercenaries. It's not possible, is it?

While on the topic of likes and dislikes, I quite like the super mutants -- I find them amusing. I still blast them off the face of the earth of course, but they're kind of fun ("Come out, come out, wherever you are!"). I like the ghouls, too, especially Tulip in the Museum of History. She has a great voice.

The mesmetron works fine on raiders and the like. Heck, you can even take off their collars afterwards and turn them into friendlies. Well, friendly as in they won't attack you anyway. Doesn't really change their rotten attitude.

Have to agree with you on the muties and Tulip. She's the only shopkeeper I've never stolen anything from.

Thanks, MeltBanana. How exactly would you do that? They're always shooting and charging at you pretty hard.

Do you happen to have the Operation Anchorage DLC? Because the chinese stealth armor is really helpful when trying to mezz people. Otherwise some stealthboys might do the trick.

The mesmatron is experimental. But it can be used on Radiers. I've done that. However their heads have a chance of exploding instead.

Sneaking first before they are hostile is the way to do it I think.

Note that you get evil Karma, even for enslaving evil Raiders.

I agree on Tulip too. She is really nice. And she promises a refund if I die in her armor. I think she likes my character ("I got just the thing for you, do you want to see it? Please say yes")

Super Mutants are fun too. They have interesting conversations.

Yeah you can enslave Raiders and the Enclave. I find it better then enslaving towns people because you don't have the risk of making an entire settlement chase after you. It's not that towns people are hard to kill, but you risk killing someone who could be important like a merchant or someone involved with a quest.

Just to follow up on this: I wasn't able to mezz any raiders or Mr Burke or Alistair Tenpenny. I tried a number of different folk and they either just ran away from me or, if they were armed, started shooting at me.

You can mezz Raiders, but often times they either get more aggressive or their heads pop. The mesmatron is an experimental weapon so most of the time you get an unexpected side-effect especially if you try to enslave a NPC who can't be enslaved. Sadly you can't enslave Burke or Tenpenny.
