Enter Nerevar!

The merchant caravan hastily stopped moving, as they had found something lying beside the road. It was clearly manufactured by the Dwemer, no doubt about it. The construct looked weather-worn and dusty, it had probably been lying there for several months. It was a machination that tried to resemble the Chimer, something that greatly disturbed the merchant captain and his mercenaries.

A chimeri warrior named Nerevar saw it for what it was. A replica of his people, that the Dwemer had created for fooling them. He wanted to take it to Ayem, seeing it wise to show their mother the new strategy of their enemies.

But the merchant captain did only care for personal profit. He doubted that the journey to the capital, their mothers home, would be worth their reward for doing so. He's rather sell it in Noormoc, to the worshippers of Mehrunes Dagon, that would pay well for anything Dwemeri.

A third Chimer, who was a seer, looked upon the replica of a Chimer. He sided with Nerevar, and claimed that the thing they found was sacred, or would one day be.

The merchant captain thought long about what decision he would make. He usually followed his seers advice, but his greed and lust took a hold of him. The riches that he'd gain in Noormoc, and the more carnal and lustful payment of the Red Wives of Mehrunes Dagon clouded his judgement; he changed course to Noormoc.

Before the caravan started moving, Nerevar threw his money to the merchant captain and said that he will purchase the construct. He also said that he wanted Almalexia to be best prepared for the Nords, by helping her in the current battle against the Dwemer.

The merchant captain looked upon the meagre pile of money and said that it was not enough. He added that he was Triune in his own way, but followed his body's desire.

Then Vivec, who was inside the replica of his mother, spoke. He had remained quiet up until this point, for he used to be many things in his former lives, but not a Chimer. However, now he spoke to the just Nerevar.

Nerever understood and slew the merchant captain, taking command of the caravan. They set sight for the capital, to Ayem.

My take on the fifth sermon, the one that introduce Nerevar and his first meeting with Vehk. The sermons were written fairly "recently", but this sermon describes a Nerevar before being the famous mer we all know and play the incarnation of. It shows that he initially dislike the Dwemer and that he cares more about the greater good then personal profit.

Keep in mind that this text is for clarification of the sermon, and nothing else. ^^ I might have gotten things wrong tough... >.>

They were written by Tholer Saryoni, who was alive and kicking during the Nerevarine Prophecy. I don't think he even lived during the 1E, when Nerevar lived. The texts were written long after the meeting of Veck and Nerevar occured. Relatively recently written, right?

You're thinking of Saryoni's sermons.
