TIMELINE
2281- Mr. House is assassinated by Vulpes Inculta, unfortunately for Vulpes he is killed limitedly afterwards by Yes Man. Yes Man then calls all Securitrons to the Strip and exterminates the NCRs presence. Yes Man then locks down New Vegas, no one is allowed to leave and no one is allowed to enter. This only applies to Freeside and the Strip, the other New Vegas communities are left to fend for themselves. Yes Man soon uses the Securitrons to raid the Gun Runners factory, they are successful and Yes Man gives all of there equipment to the three families, he soon turns them into the New Vegas Army. A complex defense is built around Freeside and New Vegas in two months. During this time Caesars Legion takes over the Dam and leads an assault on New Vegas, the assault is a dramatic failure.

2282- Knowing he has been defeated Caesar leaves New Vegas alone but shuts down the power at Hoover Dam. This has negative effects on both New Vegas and the NCR. Caesar Legion begins the Anti NCR campaign and removes all NCR presence in the Mojave except for the Mojave Outpost.

2283- A Civil War starts in the NCR, Caesar decided to let the NCR destroy themselves, and so they do.

2290- The Civil War ends and the NCR is crippled, there is only a handful of men left, most of the NCR citizens flee California and move to the Mojave only to find they are not allowed in New Vegas. Most move to the other Mojave settlements but some go back to the settlements in California that were not occupied by NCR. Near the end of the year Caesars Legion goes into California and wipes out the NCR once and for all, they capture all citizens and kill the useless ones, the rest are moved back to the Mojave and are made into Legion Citizens. At first the citizens are against it but soon find out life is better then it was before. Caesars Legion then starts to capture all the Mojave's settlements.

2291- The New Vegas Army demands Caesars Legion to give power back to New Vegas, Caesars Legion declines and a war starts.
