Entrapment

Post » Fri Dec 10, 2010 7:13 pm

Okay, I was wanting to host an RP which involved characters being abducted into a Daedric realm and them finding a way out of it. But I need a Prince's realm to base it in. Please choose one answer above and state why.

Hircine's realm fits well in terms of 'trapped and trying to get out'.

Other than lore, we don't know much of the other realms outside of Oblivion, and the Shivering Isles.

I noticed Sheogorath isn't in the list :P

But, besides him, I'd go with Molag Bal. And yes, I would join :)

Coldharbour ( Molag Bal )

Mainly just because Molag Bals me favourite Daedric Lord, but isnt the realm itself essentially a twisted version of nirn...all demon-ised? That sounds pretty cool.

I know little about Hircines realm, but by the sound of it you could get some cool hunter and hunted aspects going on.

Ooh and I would join for sure :P

Which is what I was hoping for. I was planning on fleshing out the lore of one of these places shrouded in mystery.

@Atomic: I was also hoping Coldharbour would win. It seems to be a rather interesting place.

Boethiah and yes I would join.

Boethiah's realm is all about combat and challenge, so I think it would be a nice choice. But Hircine's realm is also really cool and would fit as well. Molag Bal seems to have the most votes, why?

Voted Hircine. Could make for a good horror RP, though people seem to be favoring Bal. That'd probably work too, but I like the idea of being hunted while looking for a way out. No matter who wins though, I plan on joining.

I'll leave this poll open until tomorrow around this time and then I'll begin to write a backstory.

I agree, I like the hunting aspect of Hircine. Reminds me of The Most Dangerous Game. (I belive that is the title)

Molag Bal's realm is basically Nirn, but with poo on White Gold Tower. Hircine's realm is an unending hunt (with the possibility of escape - the mortal who first gained Saviour's Hide gained it this way). I really think Hircine's hunting groups would be a better place for this kind of thing, and make more sense (just look at the end of Bloodmoon).

I voted Nocturnal.

But what woudl her realm look like?

I voted Molag, as it seems the most adaptable. But I would join.

I voted for Molag Bal; he's my favourite Daedric Prince and Coldharbour sounds a very interesting place - would be good to try and escape from, considering the horrors there.

However, I believe there have been a few RPs that have took place in Bal's realm.

I'm not sure if I'd join (lack of time) but I'll try and follow it if nothing else. :)

Wow, why is it that ever since i stopped remaking MY coldharbour RP that everyone else feels they want to make one? ive seen about 4-5 people make an RP set in coldharbour since i last remade mine.

but nothing bad with that, i will say that if done correctly Coldharbour IS a very good place to set a roleplay, as i proved when i made mine about a year or so ago. Its very easy to get yourself orientated because it is basically a twisted reflection of Nirn and so if set in coldharbour's cyrodiil or morrowind any player would easy become familiar with the surroundings just with some horrific artistic liscence.

if you do end up making it in coldharbour id be more than willing to give any info we drudged and dreamed up in the creation of mine, which will give u a good starting point as to where to build upon.

just remember that it is described in Lore as being very eery and quiet, and that the sky is flames. it is filled with charnel houses (building full of corpses like a corpse warehouse) so would make for a good horror setting, and slave pens filled with mortals from nirn. and dont forget the vampires :P

How exactly would the vampires tick in Coldharbour?

I tried one in Hircine's realm long ago.

No, you are not taking my copyrighted idea.

Molag Bal would be awesome though

I'd just like to say that if you DONT do yours in coldharbour i will likely remake mine again but with ALOT more story direction planning as that was the main thing mine lacked, direction once we got there.

but dont worry theres no way i'd make mine before you did as i take like at least a month of planning to get an RP up and out. so if you do decide to go with molag bal go for it and ill leave mine for another year or so :P and i will definatly join yours, tho i probably still will join if u chose another daedra depending on how u present it :P

Well, guys, It looks like Molag Bal's the winner. I'll get some research done on his realm and begin a backstory.
