So is there only going to be two environments/battlefields in this game, cus if so, Brink is going to lose its luster fast...

No there's actually only 1. They scrapped the other one... *sarcasm*
Just think about it. There's no game that only has 2 maps for MP. Besides, SP, MP and Co-op are blended together. This means that every playable SP map will be MP as well.

no, theres going to be more than two maps, but there are only two main AREAS so far that we know of. The airport and container city are the areas, and theses areas will encompass multiple maps

Wow you really think that? There is going to be way more. Despite the fact we have only seen/heard of 4 maps.

I would guess that, like most MP games there's about 8-12 maps. But that's just a guess.

Like in the other topic that I created awhile back we talked about the possible maps that might be implemented and i thought that each area was its own map

well theres container city, the airport, the shipyard, and one of the screenshots says aquarium, and im sure theres more that i forgot and more that we dont even know about. so... probably more than 2...

hmm...i honestly dont think that the container city would be one big map. That would just be too far stretched for 8v8 (it is 8v8 right? or is it 6...). i mean look at the map on the website

The areas we know of may be like campaigns with several maps encompassing them like in Left 4 Dead. But we can't guess how they relate or what order they're in or if they're simultaneous in the story. There will be plenty of maps for everyone.

The Container CIty Map is kind of a tube you're lead through by completing objectives. So all combatants are focused on a very small part of that map.


Closer to the topic itself: I think you could actually say there are "only two environments", one being the "secured" Ark, one being the "insurgent" Ark. But within these environments you have various locations (i.e. Airport, Harbor et cetera).
