Epic Difficulties

I hope there will be a chance for me and my friend to form a team and play through some extremely hard AI levels. And maybe reap some booty for doing so...? :hubbahubba:

They were even hard for experienced FPS gamers, so I wouldn't worry about the difficulty level.

I hear you, but I was thinking something along the lines of a special tattoo for someone who manages to beat "super extreme hardcoe hell mode" So we can tote that around and gloat.

I don't believe there will be an award for doing that.

I highly doubt there will be, but don't let me get your hopes down.

All stages in Challenge mode reward you for beating them.

However, Challenge mode is singleplayer only.

Okay that is cool to hear... Now I do like the idea of having a very hard mode so player can have a challenge. I was always one of those folks that used to play Resistance 2 on Superhuman all the time when the mode came out, and it was fun since no matter how many times ya played it with the same team, you could hardly tell who would survive or not. So I'm hoping Splash Damage can deliver in that department as well since I wouldn't like having a group of 8 friends and rip through the enemies as if they were used toilet papers.

They said that the last stage in Challenge Mode is even very hard to beat for the developers. That should mean something.

Im pretty sure that there is 1 or two challenges that are multiplayer.

That's good to hear, but I actually meant for 8 man groups. I know single will be challenging I'm just hoping the same for the multiplayer side.

In that regards the most you can hope for are competent players on the opposite team, then. (as far as I've heard about this)

I've heard they can be up to 4-man co op. I'll look for a link.

EDIT: http://videogamewriters.com/brink-interview-decreasing-learning-curve-and-increasing-fun-5848

"In addition to the tutorials leveling players up, Brink will also include other ways to develop players by offering tangible incentives in return. “We’ve also got these four challenge maps which is partly how you practice your skills, you can play them up to four-player co-op as well, so you can practice skills with your friends"

Also note that playing the tutorial gives you XP.

And I haven't heard anything about only the first stagr being up for co op. That one link is actually the only link I know of what says it's up for co op.
