Epic fail, Crytek

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 3:51 pm

How come the editor is 64-bit only when the leaked version editor supported 32-bit worked fine on 32-bit?
Or the CE3 Edu?
I only bought the game for the editor, however i will not upgrade my pc because of that, and hope that they will come up with a solution to this.

Thats probably something inside the engine for people with 64bit that actually could install it

Ridiculous. This is 2011, not 2004.

You can force it to run in 32 bit...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crysis? 2\Tools

Run "SettingsMgr.exe", under "Editor" tab pre-check "Prefer 32 Bit Editor". Voila!

Epic fail for you nontheless...

Ridiculous. This is 2011, not 2014. 45% of PC Gamers are still 32bit.
And there are many 32bit users in Crysis & Mod community.

45% of PC Gamers are still 32bit. And there are many 32bit players in Crysis community.

...80% of PC Gamers have DX10 machines. Why is the game not in DX10? Your logic is somewhat flawed.

5% of PC Gamers have DX11 cards. Why was a DX11 patch released?

Like seriously, any processor since Core 2 Duos have been 64-bit and almost every system sold since 2007 has had 4GB RAM.

This doesn't make it work at all. Unless you have an actual 32-bit executable it will not work.

Well... time to upgrade then... :D

I don't know what majority of gamers have and I don't care... you can't live in the past forever... 64 bit systems are here for a very long time now...

Why don't you open up the "Engine settings manager" then click on "Editor" and then on "Prefer 32bit Editor?

How about "no", "nein", "iie"? They better do their job properly and release a 32-bit executable ASAP. I really don't understand Crytek these days.

Maybe I'll just use the leaked one as that is at least working... I can demand as much as I like. I paid them money. UDK at least does what it is supposed to. Crytek can't even seem to design a decent website/forum. Bugs everywhere.
Crysis 2 1.9 also runs worse than previous versions for me.
